Comment: I cant say enough about Stephen Curley Roofing. I had 3 contractors come out to look at my aging roof, only wanting repairs to get me through the winter for another couple of years before replacing my roof entirely. The first estimate was fair, the second estimate was high, and the third contractor (not local to Sonoma County) unbelievably removed shingles and exposed my framing in order to make my job look worse in his photos than it truly was. (I was able to confirm this by (#1) the insane amount of noise he made, and (#2) comparing his photos to those of the first contractor.) After this completely unethical visit by the last contractor I found Stephen Curley. He is one of the few guys out there who does repairs because its the right thing to do. Need I say more. He had 2 guys on my roof within days, ahead of a rain storm, to take care of the broken ridge shingles, cracked vent caulk, and exposed framing. At a fraction of what the formal bids quoted I can tell you he is a man of integrity and the person I will use when I replace my roof in 2 years time. Thank you Stephen Curley!

The team was very responsive, they kept the area around my home clean and safe during their work. Plus theres something to be said when the owner of the business comes on-site to meet with the homeowner as the job progressed. Our conversations yielded some additional ideas that were both functional (Vent placements etc.) and esthetic (Color availability for the rain gutters). We had a couple of places where some plywood on the roof needed replacement, and Steve was able to do this an an economical manner. Comment: This review follows a stormy, wet winter that came after the work done on my house by Stephen Curley Roofing, Inc.Theres nothing better to be woken up by a rainstorm and just rolling over and going back to sleep knowing that the roof is secure.My experience with Stephen Curley Roofing, Inc. was a positive one.  After first contacting them about the work I needed to be done, an estimator came shortly after (and at the allotted time!).I received a bid shortly after.   The bid price was reasonable and the scheduled date fit my needs.  Considering a handful of quotes, I settled on them.The workflow and expenses were clearly outlined and the work to be performed was well defined.  Knowing that I was anxious to get the work done, they used a gap in their schedule to expedite my roof, which was much appreciated.The work was accomplished quickly and very professionally.  The roof looks great and the work area was left in a clean state.Their attention to detail was high.  The crew that had done the roof many years before failed to adequately vent the attic resulting in a super-heated attic space.  That led to warm temperatures in the house and garage as the attic heated up.  Stephen Curley Roofings team identified this and installed appropriate venting.  The temperature in the house and garage are way more moderate.  Nice bonus!Perhaps the best recommendation for a company is if you recommend them to someone else.  My neighbors were also on the market for a roof and I could recommend Stephen Curley Roofing without hesitation.  They wound up working with them, too.  They had a similar high-quality experience.

Comment: We were LONG overdue and delayed longer than we most likely should have but we finally picked a roofing contractor based on personal recommendations from friends and signed the contract with Stephens company. From day 1 when we started discussion I just knew he was someone we wanted to do business with. Incredibly friendly, informative, honest, and responsive. All great qualities for someone you want to do business with! He was honest when there was price increases on materials and did what he could to navigate those changes from initial quote.It took us a while from initial conversation to action finally happening due to Covid, our dining timeline and finally their timeline of availability but it was worth the wait.The crew came this week for a 3 day job and while they technically took all 3 days most of the work was done in 2. The last day was final touch ups. The crew worked quickly, efficiently, and were great at attention to detail as far as cleaning up and keeping it clean while working and before they left each day. Everyone was respectful and kind that came on our property.Ive never been in a house with a roof being installed - its loud!!! Lol, if you have pets and can relocate them it might not be a bad idea. It was a little stressful for our zoo but everyone got over it.The roof looks SO good, reasonable pricing, they helped us out with some extra time and material needs relating to dry rot and venting to complete the job.Overall, we are super happy with the whole experience! We would definitely recommend to anyone in the market for a roofing contractor.

Comment: We had a tar and gravel roof over the house and carport. The carport was always leaking and it was getting expensive to keep patching it as only one roofing co would come out and they were not cheap. After talking with Stephen Curley at length about his TPO roof, we decided to go ahead. I have to say, it was one of the best decisions we ever made. Stephen and his crew were amazing, like a well-oiled machine they arrived, set-up, got the work done, and cleaned up before they left. At one point I had about 10 guys on the roof. They have been doing this for many years and it shows. I love my new white TPO roof that will NEVER leak. It makes the house look so much nicer and an added benefit: the house is warmer! Stephen was great to work with and I highly recommend this company.Update 5/10/21: After a few very warm days, we are noticing that our house stays cool well into the afternoon due to the insulation in the roof. Now we love our new roof even more.

Comment: Stephen Curley Roofing sent out two repairmen during the last rainstorm here in Santa Rosa, just a couple days ago. Yes! During the rainstorm! They got on top of my roof and located the immediate problem which caused leaking near my mantle area into my living room. I had to put two buckets out. I was terrified of the sheetrock damage that would have happened.....but yet did not! Thanks to Stephen Curley for caring and expediting two of his workers who found and stopped my roof leak right away. Much appreciation.

Comment: It was very difficult getting a permit from the state, (I have a mobile home) but Stephen Curley kept trying - for 3 months! Once the permit came, Stephens crew was able to come within a few days, went right to work and completed everything in one day. I dont understand Spanish, but it was evident the crew was enjoying the work and each other. Dry rot and a few other unknown problems were more extensive than could originally be seen. The final cost was understandably over the original bid, but Stephen helped by absorbing part of the additional charges. Clean-up was thorough. They cleared debris, dust and ash all around my mobile home; I didnt even find a nail! Stephen and his office personnel were professional, polite and obviously had my best interest in mind. The crew arrived on time and worked very hard for the entire time they were at our place. Comment: In 2018, we woke up, went downstairs to our kitchen to make some coffee and to our shock found a stream of water coming through one of the recessed lights in the ceiling. It had started raining the night before and the weather was calling for 3 more days of rain. We spent hours calling one roofer after another. Most did not even take the time to return our call. Stephen Curley called us back and within 2 hours had someone on the top of our roof figuring out what was happening. They did a short term repaired and then provided pictured showing the need to replace the flat part of the roof. We hired them and they squeezed us in, showing up on the weekend to get the work done.Flash forward, 2 years later, we spotted some brown stained on out tung and groove ceiling so we called Stephen Curley Roofing again. They quickly came out and inspected the roof. We had been expecting to replace the pitched portions and were thankful we got away to 2 more winters before having to do it.We scheduled them to come out to take care of it. They did everything, even communicating directly with our HOA to ensure all the approvals were in place.They showed up on the exact days scheduled. In 2 days they completed all the work. They left NO TRACE that they had even been here except for a brand new roof.We are so thankful that on that rainy day in 2018, we found a roofer that, even though the company was swamped with work, took the time to come out and rescue us when most others would not even return our calls for HELP!Stephen Curley and his team are world class!

Comment: Last December, Steve and his team put a new roof on our rental home in Bodega Bay. I had contacted him at the busiest time of year for roofers, when I first noticed the roof had some leaks. He responded quickly, provided plenty of detailed information, and then completed the job quickly and before the heavy rains began. The entire process was smooth, and I knew I would use Steve again if we had any issues with the roof of our home in Marin. Just a few days ago, that started leaking during the first big rainstorm of this year. I called Steve, and within one day he had one of his team come out, assess the problem and repair it, again just before a major storm is due. My interactions with Steve, his crew, and the office staff were pleasant, professional and informative. Steve was not the only roofer I contacted initially. I had multiple bids, and several phone discussions with each bidder. Though Steve was not the least expensive, his bid was also not as high as others we received. I found his pricing, both times Ive called him, to be fair and reasonable.

Comment: Amazing job! I have a 1200sf house with a weird roof (many different angles and eaves) and they were able to strip off the old roofing and put in a new roof in A DAY AND A HALF! I couldnt believe how fast they were, but there was a whole crew up there cranking along. Not only that, they were super respectful of my driveway and yard (not always the case with contractors) and left behind no garbage or debris. Would highly recommend.

We needed a new roof so I had four different roofing companies come out and give me a bid. Steves company was not the lowest bid but was in the ball park with 3 of the other contractors. I mention that he was not the lowest as its important to understand that it is not always the best move to go with the lowest bid. In Steves case, he was always professional. He handled all my questions well, his office staff was friendly and knowledgeable. I was impressed by how he made an effort to educate me on why he went with a certain product as opposed to another product - all in all, the presale end of our business was handled much better than the other contractors so I went with Steve. His crew arrived on time, everyday. They worked hard and cleaned up the job-site at the end of the day. On the last day of the job, I was impressed on how all of the crew actually got down on their knees to clean up the flower bed in front of our house, as they looked for loose nails and debris - a class act! I have no reservations at all in recommending Stephen Curley Roofing to my friends and neighbors. In fact Ive already done so in two cases.
