Comment: After one week of daily PGE outages last summer I have reached the boiling point and decided to go solar instantly. Considering that the existing old roofing would not be a reliable substrate to install the solar panels, I went for a completely new roofing: a metal standing seam roofing. While this part of the project was being permitted and built, I was researching the solar companies. I received 7 different bids, some from the country-wide large firms (we all know their names) and some from the local contractors. One of them was Simmitri. What struck me first was the level of their involvement to explain the process and answer all my questions. As the idea of going solar was spontaneous, I had almost no idea how everything works, what system to chose, what battery to chose etc. After a few weeks of the research during which I excluded the large firms from the race as their answering will ended very shortly after the official presentation and providing the quote. Simmitri, especially Joe and Jonathan stayed by my side and provided all the answers.They were the highest bidder out of those firms but they made an impression that there will be there for me after the deal is signed.I made the right decision. Jonathan personally promised to try their best to finish the project before the years end so that I can deduct it from the previous year taxes rather than waiting entire one more year. In fact, they did succeed! Within nearly 2 months everything was permitted, installed and running. Exactly as promised, one day before my scheduled Christmas vacation.I am an architect so I was able to monitor the process with the city permit etc, do whatever I could on my end to push it forward but the heavy lifting was done by Simmitri team.Was it 100% smooth? No. Again, as an architect I completely understand the difficulty of dealing with an existing building. There is always something unforeseen happening on such type of a project. The bad luck wanted that the installer drilled through the electrical cable while hanging the battery. Discovering what exactly happened and where it happened as no fuse tripped took a few visits and lots of trying. But they were determined to find it and fix whatever needed to be fixed. Leslie from the office was such a big help, always staying on the top of the scheduling, informing me about the next steps.The general Simmitris success secret is not having a single point of failure. All the emails were going to the entire team so there was never a miscommunication, lost emails, people on a sick leave or vacation. If one person was missing, somebody else picked where they left.I am very happy with the service I received, the speed, the competence and the friendliness every step of the way. The construction business is very though. Finding a trustworthy and skilled contractor is crucial to the success of the project.I could not be happier with the choice I made.

Comment: If you are looking for a trustable company for a roof and/or a solar system, I strongly recommend you check out Simmitri. I hired them for a new roof and a solar system for my home, and I have no regret. I would hire them again. They are very experienced professionals in roofing and solar system design & installation. In my case, there have been several difficult issues with PG&E connections and the San Jose city permit process. But the Simmitri people have always been honest and sincere. Most of the issues were not their fault, but about one issue, Simmitri honestly admitted their oversight in the permit process and immediately took necessary actions to correct it. Even their CEO and COO directly contacted me in dealing with the issues. I’d say it’s so rare to find such a sincere company these days. If you want to work with such people, go with Simmitri.

Comment: We went with Simmitri because we needed a new roof, gutters AND solar - they did it all. Its been a year now and everything is working great. I can check my solar panels on their app, and we are generating so much energy we cover our electricity costs 100% plus surplus. The customer service and attention we got was fantastic. They even modified the gutter system because my remodel was off-schedule. The team at Simmitri is top notch!

Comment: They were the only company that was willing to do an onsite estimate before contract signing which was important to me. They walked me through the process well. The install team managed to get all the 14 panels on my south facing roof and they got it done in one day. They ran the conduit from the panes down to the accumulator and electrical panel right under the eave which was especially nice. The panels have performed well, in fact better than well and the micro inverter monitoring software is outstanding. So why only 4 stars? They used enphase 7 micro inverters which allow all 14 panels on one AC circuit to the accumulator. The problem is the 7s max out at 245 watts and my panels exceed that during 4-5 hours of the peak sunlight. It appears to me they could have used 7+ inverters with a 295 watt limit and 2 AC circuits (accumulator supposedly support 3) and my panels would have been able to max out. I estimate the cost difference at $20 per panel and more number 10 copper wire to the accumulator. You can see this behavior if you look at the daily output. It should look like a Bell curve in my opinion, but mine looks like a Bell curve with the top lopped off (plateau). Id estimate its reducing my output by 120-150 watts per day per panel. I leave it to you to decide if the cost is worth the gains. Its not easy to know if youll have this situation before hand. My panels face 160 degrees and are close to ideal. The panels have a perfect output rating of 330 watts, but none ever get that since roof lie, facing, and temperature all reduce the ideal. Mine appear to be able to peak at 275-290. Had I known all of this beforehand I would have wanted the 7+ with 2 circuits.

Comment: Its been a long time since Ive had such professional work done and amazing service.They got the right financing program for my needs and the entire project was done in a very short time. Very responsive, clean job and stellar communication by everybody across the company. Something really unique about them is their customer success team who followed up with me on a regular basis to make sure I was happy, theyve addressed all the questions and we did an annual review of my systems performance compared to their initial projection; needless to say that I was pretty impressed when Ive realized that their projections was 100% accurate with the performance my system delivered all year despite the smoke and debris from the fires in California. I would recommend to anyone who needs solar or roofing in the Bay Area.
