Comment: I live in an older Spanish-style flat roof house. These older home are not very energy efficient. The temperature would be around 10 degrees warmer than the outside during the warm months and at times it would be unbearable.We contacted insulation companies for attic insulation and roofing companies to possibly add more roof vents. Long story short, Roof Repair Specialist offered the best possible solutions to reduce the heating. I worked with Areg. He gave me different options. His suggestions included a new cool roof, new roof vents, and Isoboard, a form of roofing insulation. I did some research and the suggestions were right on. They were the only company that suggested Isoboard so I knew they were knowledgeable. Our roof was near the end of its lifetime so we decided to do all three options. I had a good experience working with Areg. I contacted him several times throughout the process and he answered my questions and addressed my concerns each time.The process itself went smoothly. They handled the permits and inspection. It was not a major disruption during the tear down and installation. They even finished a day early.Alvaro was our site manager. He gave updates during the process and honored our requests (we asked him cover openings and holes after the tear down because we used to have rats in the attic). In the end, he gave his card and said we can call him directly if we have any problems with the roof. I thought that was good customer service because he worked at our site personally and we wouldnt have to go through customer service.To be upfront, their estimate for just the roof was on the higher end. And the cost ended up higher because there was some damage they found when they pulled up the old roof (documented with pictures) and they charge by the foot (which is in the contract). But I think there is always a trade-off between price and quality/quality of experience. You just have to do your due diligence and determine where you lie on that spectrum. Even though we were up to the limit in our budget, I think we made a good decision. There have only been a few really hot days since the installation, but we notice the difference with the new roof (and attic insulation). Now its consistently at least 5 degrees cooler in our house than the outside.

Comment: Alvaro and his crew did an excellent and thoroughly professional job on our new roof. Each worker clearly took pride in their work: the site was neatened up everyday and each guy was cordial and responsive. When you get on the roof and look at all the details--especially where water might sneak in over time--you see that the crew has paid special attention to each of those stress points.We have a 1927 Spanish-style house with original tiles on the sloped portion of the roof, and some tiles had been damaged. The striking thing was that these guys replaced the broken vintage tiles with tiles that were impossible to distinguish from the originals. (Contemporary tiles would have stood out.) To us that says it all--real craftsmanship.The other staff that we communicated over the course of the job--the Sales Manager, Areg, and Stacey in Customer Service--were equally excellent. There was a long delay in starting, but that was due to the lengthy process of getting city permits.To sum up: we cannot recommend this company highly enough.

Comment: (This saga has a happy ending.) A year ago, I had a leak repaired on a small balcony. Once this rainy season began, the leak returned; since the job was still under warranty, I asked for a re-repair, one that worked. An inspector came and said the problem was an opening beneath the threshold of the French doors at the balcony. A return visit was scheduled; he resealed the opening. It rained again, and it leaked again. Another visit was scheduled; this time, the problem was identified as an opening at the *corners of the threshold, which hadnt been fully sealed. The corners were sealed ; it rained again; it leaked again. Alvaro, the head of quality control, came to inspect. He punched some holes in the roof to trace the water, which led him to locate a rafter -- not on the balcony, but adjacent to it -- whose molding had disintegrated. Id never noticed that, nor had I thought to connect it to the leak. But by then he needed to go off to other appointments. He came back the next day, a Saturday, to caulk the rafter. It rained the following week; my heart sank when it leaked. Alvaro returned, and this time he removed the light fixture from the ceiling of the room beneath the balcony, and he found the source of the latest leak: a residual cup of water that had filled the fixtures bracket before the rafter had been caulked. He dried and re-affixed the bracket. It rained again. No leak! I am so impressed by Alvaros persistence. He told me that my mysterious recurring leak had kept him up at night, and he was as happy as I was to have figured it out. Alvaros relentlessness earned these five stars.

Serge our rep was extremely easy to deal with and handled all of my requests in a timely and thoughtful manner. Onsite pre-inspections were a breeze and informative. The company does a fantastic job in guiding you through the whole process and what to expect each step of the job. On site crews were extremely friendly and very professional. Each day they cleaned the area as if they werent there the whole day. Each and every point of contact from the sales rep, project coordinator to the installers was fantastic. It truly is nice to see a company that takes pride in their people and it shows in how they interact with you. The quality of detail of the new roof installed was fantastic. The price of the work I had done was within reason and there were no surprises when I got the final bill. I would highly recommend Roof Repair Specialists.I’d like to amend my above review. I lowered my rating by a star because I had Roof Repair Specialists come back and install gutters on my house. Assuming everything would run without a hitch like the roof install. My mistake. You know what they say about assuming. I am pretty disappointed with this process so far. Production had some hiccup in actually receiving my order and scheduling it. What should’ve taken a week took 2. Fine, problems happen. I finally got a call to schedule my install last Friday for the following Monday between 8-9am. The installer never shows. No call. I wait to call the office around 9:15 figuring maybe traffic delay and I’m asked if they can give me a call right back. 9:43 I get a call back and they have to reschedule because the tech called in sick. No one in the office seemed to be aware or even bothered to inform me. Seems fishy to me, regardless this aspect of Roof Repair Specialist isn’t run as well as the roof install went. I’ll see how the actual install goes tomorrow and post another comment directly about the quality and installation of the gutters.

Comment: Roof Repair SpecialistAfter meeting with a few roofing companies while searching for a roof replacement on our rental property, we chose the Roof Repair Specialists to do the job.Mr. Cruz, the sales representative, was very thorough in explaining the entire job from start to finish and offered different options to suit our budget. One of the key points that we were interested in was the 25 year warranty they offered on the install (the manufactures warranty on the roofing material is 50 years!), the promise that the job would be supervised from start to finish, and that they would handle all the required city permits (though permit fees were in addition to the price estimate).The cost of the job was very similar to other bids we received.The crew got the job done in just a few days and thoroughly cleaned up afterwards.We received progress updates on a regular basis from Julio, the gentleman in charge of the project.Although this was a major job, it was quick, painless, and reassuring to know that it was done properly. Comment: It was time to finally tackle our roofs. We ended up contacting Roof Repair Specialists because our neighbor had used them and she recommended them. We had 3 areas-main house, studio and garage roofs that need repairing/replacing.As mentioned in the other reviews, Serge was very professional, thorough and knowledgeable. We liked that he took photos, vids of his inspection and pointed out the problem areas. I personally liked that Serge used a moisture gizmo that indicated that in some of the problem areas there was still moisture trapped (This was in May in LA!) He also took his time to thoroughly explain the repair materials being used and how the installment process would work. We had a choice of roof colors and went with the terracotta which complemented the terracotta tiles. I almost forgot to mention we also needed a skylight replaced and RRS was able to do that as well. The whole process-minus the skylight, which had to be ordered-took about 5-6 days. There was an on-site project manager each day that the crew was here. There were a couple hiccups with our communication expectations on the first day, but that was easily resolved. The RRS crew were all uniformed, respectful of where they parked and cleaned-up after themselves every day. About a week and half after the roofs were finished the skylight was installed and only took about an hour. Remarkable.We would also like to mention that all of the “office” staff were responsive, knowledgeable and very accommodating.RRS pricing was as expected and with the tutorial of what would be involved, seeing the installation team in action, excellent customer service and the beautiful end results…lets just say you get what you pay for.

My confusion was that the actual workers did not communicate with me..Regarding start, finish and completion times. The main office seemed to know when I finally figured out who to call. He made a presentation with pictures and video of my roof and even did a magnification or sections of my roof that were worn out. He went over the warranties from both manufacturer and Roof Repair Specialists as well. He had the materials on hand to be able to look and feel. We were sure that based on the presentation the cost was going to be over the roof. Lol We did get two additional quotes and they were the middle price. We went with Roof Repair Specialists based on the presentation and the reviews from previous customers even though they were not the cheapest. We are extremely happy we chose Roof Repair Specialists. Comment: We used them for the Roof Maxx roof rejuvenation process. I loved the idea that a spray could extend the life of our roof by 5 years per application. We just got it done so I have yet to see how well it actually works or how well the warranty stands up.But the company was very professional and prompt in their responses. Their crew understood that we just had newly installed pavers so they did everything they could to minimize overspray. Overall they were attentive and understanding and easy to work with.Again, I have yet to experience how well the product/service lasts but I hope it lives up to its claim.

Comment: I want to thank and comment the excellent customer service that I receive from Mr. Mark Anthony , Lead Inspector from ROOF REPAIR SPECIALIST.I call them out to inspect my roof after I discover bubble on my living room ceiling. I expect the worse. But Mark , the lLead Inspector came out, access the situation and came back with was great news for me.It turn out it was not my roof but , leaking from the condenser on my air conditioning unit in the attic.I wanted thank Mark not only identifying the issue , but also for the integrity. I am sure other companies would have not have left until they found something that would allow them to get paid.I want to personally thank Mark and ROOF SPECIALIST for promptness and integrity. I felt that very comfortable with them and that are a honest and reputable company. Comment: Used RRS for a sectional re-roof in Hollywood Hills area. The access was difficult as they could not get the materials loaded on the roof by a crane like they normally do. They were able to walk the shingles from our side yard all the way to the patio and up a ladder. The crew work especially hard and the supervisor Alvaro was very helpful.

Comment: I worked with Roof Repair Specialist about a year ago and I was very pleased with the details they had put in from design to organization and finishing it on time. I had worked with contractors before where they promise a deadline and don’t get to deliver it on time. Im glad to say that this company defies contractor stereotypes.

Comment: My in-laws were moving into a new house and I wanted them to get a roof inspection prior since they were moving into an older home. I found roof repair specialist through yelp. They came out and told us that if the roof wasn’t replaced we’d run into bigger problems and they were not just trying to sell to us. The guy actually took pictures and had me go up to the roof with him to show me. Pretty impressed.

Comment: We purchased our home two years ago and during inspections I was aware that the roof might have to get some work done. I always put it off because I was not sure if I wanted to get solar or what I wanted to do with the exterior of our home(paint, windows, etc) I called roof repair specialist and not only did they come out and tell me exactly what needed to be done (complete replacement which I agree because of how old the previous one was) They even helped me pick out a roofing color that would look nice with the paint, doors/windows I picked out.

Comment: If you hire another roofer, then make sure to ask for all of their insurance policies. I had started working with another roofer who ended up not having workers compensation insurance or general liability insurance. When I called Roof Repair Specialist they sent me their certificate of insurance and they were really friendly. The staff treated my home as if it was their own. I think this is very important, especially when it comes to Roofers. Do your homework and be through.

Comment: We got our roof replaced by Roof repair specialist. I originally thought they do only repairs, going by their name. It turns out they do new roofs. They did a fast job, and looks like quality work, though we have not yet had a proper rain to test the roof.

Comment: These guys are great, I used them on my home and business. On my business I had added a few pipes and vents and needed a roofer to come repair around the holes. I originally had a handyman patch it which was a miserable fail. I ended up finding these guys and they did such solid work on my business I decided to have them re-roof my house. I would recommend them to anyone looking for a good reliable roofer.

Comment: I have used this company for re-roofing both my parents house and my house and both times I have been satisfied with the work. My house was an exceptionally difficult job being that it had over 5 layers of roofing and needed new plywood. They got the job done on time and as planned. We had one or two minor hiccups along the way which they handled with class.

Comment: Great service and work. I am A plumber and always make holes on the roof to advent lines. The roofers I used to use before would just puttn mastic and tar around the pipes and my customers would have problems. Once I found roof repair specialist I found out that my previous roofer was doing poor work, he was pretty much just patching around the pipes. Roof repair specialist always shows up on time and gets the job done right, though they are a little bit more expensive than others I have used a, I am a firm believer that you get what you pay for. Would recommend to friends and family.
