Comment: We got many quotes for new roofing and solar. Justin stood out from the rest with his knowledge and the quality products he uses. For the roofing we were very impressed with his crew. Comment: We finished a big project with Justin from RC Energy in Spring 2021 and the entire business experience was stellar! Our single family home in Carlsbad was in need of a new roof and we decided it was time to get modern with solar and some window & door replacements. Through our bidding process, RC Energy came out the lowest and Justin was cordial and honest about the entire process and costs upfront. We knew this was going to be a big project and Justin explained the entire process. Our work included: full re-roof (tear-off, new underlayment, new concrete tiles, wood repair, full fascia board replacement & painting, 18 PV solar panel array + electrical/RMA, new sliding glass door, three kitchen windows and two new solar-powered skylights in our living room. There was a big chunk of extra cost for roof wood repairs we knew was coming (dry rot and previous termite damage to sheathing & rafter tails) but the costs were understandable given the hours of extra labor, and the quality of carpentry work spearheaded by Ivan was exceptional. Nice windows and doors from Amerimax combined with the new roof tiles and fascia has really given our home a modernized curb appeal and the new skylights have changed the entire feel of our dark living room. Solar went live in May/June and boy is it nice to see our bills reduced next to nothing, especially with our EV charging and AC unit.Justins communication was great, keeping us updated in advance of each major step in the project. Total project work time was 2/3 weeks and we are more than satisfied with the outcome. I highly recommend RC Energy Solutions for your solar and home energy improvement needs! Thanks again.

Comment: We recently had our roof replaced along with new rain gutters and our attic cleaned and disinfected with new insulation. From our first meeting with Justin to the final inspection RC Energy Solutions exceeded all of our expectations.Justins bid was exactly what we were charged and the additional wood replacement costs were thoroughly explained in advance. We had no unexpected additional costs.The finished work has improved our curb appeal 100% and with over 6 inches of rain over the last 5 days the roof and gutters are working perfectly. Comment: Justin and his team have been professional, responsive, honest, and helpful throughout the entire process. We used RC Energy for completely re-roofing our house. This included removing and re-installing the solar panels that they had previously installed years ago with a previous home-owner.We received multiple quotes prior to going with RC and their prices were competitive. Scheduling was predictable and accurate - as was the estimated time of completion for the project.We had some challenges re-roofing our very old home that resulted in a some uh-oh moments once RC removed the existing roof. The previous owners had mickey-moused the roof job previously and it needed to be redone the correct way. This resulted in a re-quote of the job for additional work; Justin was transparent throughout and made sure we understood the process and what was happening. We appreciated his team keeping their workspace clean and organized at the end of each day.At the time, we chose not to replace our existing chimney cap that was noted to have some issues during our home inspection. However, with the recent rain we noticed water damage in our ceiling. Justin and his team have been very helpful in covering / tarping the areas, running water tests, and using strategic problem solving to isolate the issue and propose fixes. They have even helped us to re-caulk areas contributing to the issue to help ensure it does not get any worse prior to a proper long-term fix. Justin is always following up with us and helping answer our questions.

Comment: Not only was Justin and his crew professional and extremely hard workers in replacing my roof, I was informed daily, either through emails and/or photos, of the work in progress. In addition to providing me with a solid and up-to-date roof, Justin advised and assisted me through the process of recovering monetary retribution of a former roofer that did a bad replacement roofing job on my home 3 years ago. With Justins help, I was able to recover the amount that I paid for a bad roofing job from the former roofer. Without his assistance, I would have lost thousands of dollars for a lousy roofing job. Comment: As a retired contractor I rate RC Energy as one of the most professional firms I have worked with.They are a long established local company and their bids were very cost competitive. No extras were necessary and their staff outstanding.They have installed a new electrical panel, a new roof and a solar system. All work was completed expertly and on time.The system was designed to generate 10,000 Kilowatt Hours per year to supply all our electricity needs. Their design was spot on and we reached this total two weeks before the end of our first year. We will enjoy a modest refund from our utility company. A marvelous feeling.I found this company as a result of personal research and had no contact with them prior to obtaining bids for the work I needed nor am I receiving any compensation whatsoever for this review.They have my highest recommendation.

Comment: I was thoroughly impressed with the professionalism of this company not once but twice! I made a ton of calls when I found out that I had a roof problem, and Justin with RC Energy Solutions, was the only one that took the time to hear me out and to explain what steps could be taken to fix the problems. Justin was prompt in returning calls/emails, and made sure that there was someone at my house to address all my issues in a timely manner (on two different occasions). The problems I was having, ended up being pretty simple fixes, but I do know that the life of my roof is dwindling, and I know exactly who I will be calling when its time to get a new one.

Comment: We are so pleased with our decision to have RC Energy Solutions install our solar. Justin was able to correctly anticipate how many panels would be needed to cover our current - and future - energy use (as we were planning to put in a pool) by not only reviewing our utility bills, but by also also referencing other customers data. If I have questions on our solar system they are quick to respond via phone and never make me feel I am interrupting their day. The installation crew was polite and respectful of our home, and everything went as promised. Were two years out and could not be happier. I also love that they offer other home efficiency solutions! Comment: We used RC Energy to install solar panels 3 months ago. Justin was very professional, and responsive to multiple emails and phone calls. We interviewed 4 companies, and chose RC Energy for the following reasons: 1) Best financing package (18 month 0 down, 0 interest loan, and a 12 year 2.9% loan with no origination fee or prepayment penalty; 2) Provided best system for our disjointed roof (microinverter) while other larger companies tried to push Sunpower panels and I believe they had incentives to push them; 3) Diversified company that should stay in business if the solar panel industry takes a downturn after federal rebates end in 2016, or net metering rates change later this year; and 4) Provided 20 year warranty on both parts and labor.

Comment: A year ago we decided to get solar and went to 3 different companies (one of them is a company which advertises all over the place and I felt they were the worst), for quotes. I really liked the guys from RC Energy Solutions and picked them, they were just so much better to deal with than the other companies and were not pushy at all. Well, a year later we got a final elec. bill for one year and it is $358 for the WHOLE year!! That is what we were paying for a month. They were very professional with the installation and everything that went into it. We got our panel upgraded and are sooooo SUPER HAPPY. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND THEM. I honestly feel that this was the best move for us.

Comment: We want to take this opportunity to thank Justin, Ivan, their roofing employees, and the solar installation employees of BVI Solar, whom Justin worked with, for all they have done for us with the reroof and the installation of our 30-panel solar system with a partial battery backup for our home. Justin and Ivan’s professionalism, especially during the reroofing of our house, was outstanding! They always kept us informed, especially when they encountered the one bad area of dry rot over our master bedroom, where the builder of our home did a less-than-desirable roofing job.
