They covered all the plants & bushes around the house. When they finished they cleaned up very thoroughly. They walked the driveway & around the house picking up scraps & trash. For all the really small stuff they racked & cleaned it up. They walked around the house with a magnet to get all the metal stuff. The next day the owner, Matt, did an inspection of our roof, described the process to remove the old roof and install the replacement. We received their quote the next day and were happy to find that it was less than the other quotes we received.We met with MEC in their office where Haven explained the full process and their options for payment. We also discussed what color of roofing material we wanted and when MEC expected to begin the job.We were very impressed with the quality of materials, the professionalism of Matt and Haven, and the efficiency and curtesy of the entire crew. Comment: We contacted 3 roofing specialists for estimates to replace our leaking roof and skylights. MEC Builds was the only company who responded and came out to our house to put together a bid for the job. And oh boy, howdy are we glad they did.Their work crew is second to none! These guys work hard and continuously. The only break I observed was when they took a pause for lunch. They are professional, friendly, courteous, and prompt. They arrived onsite and were swarming the roof and beginning the tear off within 5 minutes of parking their work trucks.They had 95% of the tear off completed by lunch on the first day and were weatherproofing and installing the new roof by early afternoon. In addition to the new roof we had to replace 10 skylights from the early 80s that had cracked and were leaking. They had all 10 removed, framed in, and ready for instal of the new glass skylights on the second day.We are tremendously happy with the new roof. It looks great and were overjoyed with the fact that it is currently pouring down rain and not one drop is making its way into the house!Thank you, MEC Builds. Comment: Mathew Gross quoted me a competitive price for new roof and gutters as my home has original 1990. He came with a drone to measure. So cool to watch. Matt explained their roofing material in great detail. Haven is a doll. She helped me with roof and gutter colors and again educated me on their business. I already feel like I am family. I chose the Mountainside with white gutters. They treat their customers with top priority, care, and love. Roofing began on May 3rd. I have 5,000sqft of roof between house and detached garage with a very steep pitch. Christian who is also Co-Owner has his crew orchestrated and is eager to answer any questions. They got everything stripped in one day - Wow- with the Titanium Paper on top of my existing plywood. I did not need any plywood replaced. New roof materials showed up next day- again - all orchestrated and well organized. During this process they kept everything cleaned up, hauled off debris and put away for next day. Matt comes each day to talk to crew and make sure everything is going smoothly also to keep me updated on progress. They finished in 3 days, 4 hours. Wow. I’m in Love with my new roof - couldn’t be happier and I’m so glad I chose MEC Builds. I Love everyone there. The website and Facebook pages show exactly what they are all about. The crew showed up right on time and its like a small army of skilled roofers and MEC was able to complete the job in only two days! While installing a roof is no small financial endeavor, we found MEC to offer a superior product (50 year shingles) for a fraction of the cost. Loved picking out the roof material and color at their showroom. We literally went away when the work started (small army of roofers does not make for a quiet house) and returned the next night and the roof was already done and property looked like they werent even there (they clean up real nicely). Roof looks great and the workmanship looks spot on. Comment: MEC was one of three local companies who I had bid on the job. I noticed right away that one of the others had bid lower by omitting some fees that I would have to pay. Read carefully. MEC was upfront about everything and came in slightly lower than their initial estimate!! I let them know that I had gotten other bods and they were professional and gave their honest, generally positive reviews of the other companies work. Between the time I signed the bid and got the work done, we had the storm of the century but they were not delayed in performing the work at all.They ended up calling me earlier than planned and I was able to have them do the work early. The crew showed up on time and knocked out the job in the time they said it would take. The workers were kind, fast and friendly. My primary home included coordination with SEG for removal and re-installation of 18 solar panels on the residence.They committed to a schedule and performed exactly to that commitment. They tore off and completed the entire installation at the cabin in one day, despite very difficult access issues to the site.They removed the residential roof and dried in my house on the first day, and completed the project on day two. They showed up with 8 very pleasant guys, plus support cleanup guys, and completed by noon on the second day. Fast, efficient, clean, and really good people from estimator to cleanup guys. Beautiful work with attention to details. They have the manpower to get it done, quickly.MEC is very communicative, responsive, and true to their commitments. They are an excellent installer of quality materials. If ever needed, I know they will be there.

Matt, one of the co-owners came to our home and walked us through the process, putting our minds at ease with his knowledge and competitive pricing. Choosing the color was a concern for us, because we would be living with that decision for years to come. Comment: We used MEC Builds to replace a redwood fence on a rental property. The old fence has fallen down and we wanted it replaced as soon as possible so our renters had the privacy and security they needed. MEC was able to tear down and replace the fence the week after contacting them. They were very professional and yet personable. They gave us a bid and finished the job on time and within budget. They did a very good job and left the property looking much better than it did before they started. They also hauled away the debris from the old fence.

Comment: They had the best price and a lot of great reviews. I check and read these reviews. I live across the country from the property they did in Nevada City. They were pretty booked so it would be a while, but when their schedule opened up, they called and I said, yes, go for it. They deilivered the material one day and finished it the next. Fantastic work, easy communication, easy to pay remotely, nice people. I highly recommend.
