Comment: We recently had our home reroofed. We had a handful of quotes, part of decided by the cost, and the other part was the quality/workmanship of the chosen. We had a 3 month wait, but requested to be placed on a pull in list if the event someone had to reschedule or cancel. Well it happened we were contacted that out project was able to be pulled in. we were excited and nervous at the same time. they showed up based on the dates/time and we were given a commitment of 5-7 days to completion. The roos was completed within 2 days, and it was amazing watching these ppl work, they did great job cleaning up as they went along no gutter were damaged along the way, which is always good. However, unfortunately during the final inspection the ladder during the last inspection did dent the front gutter a tad. However, overall the experience, quality and workmanship was excellent,. Brandon our Project manager was great from the start of the sale to the end of the job. Kudos to Los Gatos Roofing for keeping their commitment and be a nice group of ppl as well. I wld highly recommend this company for your reroofing job for sure! We are satisfied customers.

Bret gave me a bid to replace the entire 50’ run with a seamless one piece that was less than having the existing gutter repaired. Comment: I had some water damage in the ceiling in one of my rooms. Los Gatos Roofing came out and to determine if there was a leak in the roof. When Cameron did the inspection he determined that there was a section of shingles that was sticking up but was not the cause of the leak. He replaced the section of shingles as it would be a problem in the future and got the vendor to replace the materials under warranty.As for the leak he determined that it was because of the heavy winds that caused rain to come in through the roof vent. We have had several weeks of rain since and no leak issues.I really feel that Los Gatos Roofing is very knowledgeable in the business and takes to time to resolve any issues you may have. I highly recommend Los Gatos Roofing for any roofing projects or problems.

Daniel inspected the current roof which was in reasonably good condition, so he advised replacing just the southern facing half of the roof as required by the solar panels installer. He promptly provided an estimate and was very responsive to follow up questions. During a long rainy period, he called to schedule the installation the following day when clear skies were forecast. He assured me that half a roof would be completed in one day before the next storm arrived and indeed it was. I would definitely recommend Los Gatos Roofing based on this experience.

Comment: When I was looking for replace my roof, I called two companies with the highest rating on yelp and also Google. Roof work if not done properly can be headache down the road. I want to make sure I am dealing with a good company to avoid any potential issues. Both companies I picked are top notch roofing companies based on the review. I called both of them on the same day, Dan at Los Gatos roofing showed up the next business day to give an estimate. The other company scheduled the estimate visit about three weeks out. Our family for some personal reason need to have this work done and finished within 3 weeks. I explained to Dan my personal situation and asked Dan whether this is doable at all because I know due to Covid many companies are short of workers. Dan promised me that they would do whatever they can to make sure the work is completed within my required timeline. He was extremely helpful and professional helping me pick the material, the color and answered all my questions etc. He scheduled the work within the timeline and said they were aiming to finish this within a day. On the day, when the crew showed up, I started to understand how they could finish this within a day. They have many teams of crew that focus on different aspects of the job. They work seamlessly together. At some point of the day, there were four different types of working trucks and over 10 crew on site at the same time. Both Dan and the owner came onsite on the day. Dan came twice and checked the work and make adjustment if needed. He told me on the day that my heater ventilation will not pass city inspection and asked me to have heater company to fix it. I called up someone next day and Dan got on the phone with him even via three way calling to make sure the other company understands what they need to do. My roof is new after a day and passed inspection without any surprises. By the time this is done, the other company hasnt come to give me estimate yet. I am extremely happy with the choice of Los Gatos roofing. They are professional, reliable, and have the resource and staffing to allow job done promptly with top quality.

Comment: We had a pretty old roof that still had wood shingles and no plywood for the roof deck, but Los Gatos Roofing was great in the entire process. Their quote was lower than other companies and gave multiple options for what could be done with clear information about prices and what selections would mean. Permits were handled by the company and kept on site, and the entire process of removing the old roof, putting on a new deck, and installing the new underlayment and roof took 3 days - amazingly fast work for the ~3000 sq ft roof we have. Impressed with the turnaround time on the work, hauling off all the debris and handling the permit and inspection process, and the highly competitive price made this a great experience. One may have to pay extra for any touch up paint work on new gutters or around stucco areas, but minor inconvenience compared to the quality of a well installed new roof.

Comment: Can not be happy with Los Gatos Roofing. Juan is my POC and he did ~8+ houses in for my neighbors in the past year. I know him from word of mouth and everyone said they are A+++. My process is such a ease, all the jobs are done within 2 days, including change all roof, replace new gutter and downspouts, replace 3 old skylights (one of them is 8x8ft), and correct the flushing for another 3 skylights that my contractors did not do right. Site is cleaned very well after the job. Juan try to do more jobs while keep the cost down. I do not have to worry anything. After inspection, Juan handed me all the documents. He is now the my neighbors goto person for any roofing work.

They were all raved about the service of Los Gatos roofing. So with that I called them and they sent out one of their sales professional who showed us some options. About a month later the crew arrived. Very professional and courteous. After removing the old roof they cleaned up around the yard. The next day the roofers and the gutter guys showed up and quickly went to work. By the end of the day they were done including cleanup in and around the yard. The work was top notch. A week later we got a message that out salesman would be by to setup a ladder for the city inspector. They could have easily laid the shingles over borderline wood and for 10 years it might be just fine, but they took the time and patience to ensure everything was perfect. Tells me I got what I paid for and the roof will last. I opted for the 50 year roof and can tell the quality of the shingles compared to my neighbors is not even close. Mine are so much better. They installed a roof that not only looks good, but will keep the house cooler and looking good for years to come.I am very, very happy with Los Gatos Roofing.

Comment: We first did some research on roofing materials and decided on DaVinci synthetic slate for its look, durability, and class A fire rating. We noticed a few Los Gatos Roofing (LGR) projects in our area and were able to check on the projects during and after their installations. They all looked great. We then found the local distributor of the DaVinci roof products and asked them about LGR. They ( Los Gatos Roofing ) came highly recommended by their supplier. As a result, we engaged LGR for our project. LGR handles the entire project – City/County permits, etc and during the installation of the roof, we had an opportunity to meet and talk with the City Inspector during an onsite project review. The Inspector informed us that he has worked with (inspected) LGR installations for over a decade and gave LGR a stellar review. We are delighted with their team, work and creative ideas to solve problems that seem to always arise during any construction project. We can as a result of LGR’s efforts, highly recommend them.

Comment: I needed to replace the roof on my 1300 square foot home when my insurance company decided that my roof was suddenly too old to insure and threatened to dump my policy in 4 months if I didnt have a new roof by then. I called nearly a dozen roofing companies and Los Gatos Roofing was the only one that bothered to get back to me. When Jon showed up to give me an estimate he was punctual, professional very thorough and up front about what would be required, what was available and what I did and probably did not need. His honesty and candor was very welcome.Surprisingly the quote that he supplied was nearly the same as several estimates that I had gotten just prior to Covid when lumber prices were less than 1/4 of what they were now. It was a relief to see that although they were in a position to do so Los Gatos Roofing did not try to gouge the customer to pad their profits. Furthermore Jon was able to schedule me in less than 3 weeks which was incredible since most companies have months long waiting lists right now. And he never even suggested an emergency rush fee or anything of the sort. Everything that I have seen from the beginning of this process to the end has demonstrated that this company has strong morals and always does what they feel is in the customers best interest. There were several specific instances during the reroofing process when the crews went above and beyond to make sure the new roof was perfect and the site was disturbed as little as possible.As for the actual work that was done, all I can say is that the crews were absolutely amazing. Almost all of the people on the various crews had over 20 years of experience and it shows! They showed up early every day, were very careful about protecting the area around the house, worked like draft horses and were extremely efficient. Watching them work was like watching a carefully choreographed dance. These guys knew exactly what to do and how to do it. There were no issues at all. There were a few places where work needed to be done like replacing several rafter tails that were rotted out so they took care of those and there was also a place where the original roof design was not flashed as well as it could have been so they fixed that too even though it took an extra morning to finish. When they were finished for the day they left the yard cleaner than it has been in years. There was no problems at all getting the final roofing permit signed off.The completed roof looks amazing! I could not be happier with the company, the workers, the materials and the overall experience. If you are looking for a new roof forget everyone else and just call these guys for the best roof at a fair price! You wont regret it!

The home, which we are in the process of renovating had and still has a lot of deferred maintenance issues, including a shingle roof that was likely over 40 years old. Jon from Los Gatos Roofing worked with us from initial estimate through final inspection providing various options to fit our budget and examples of recently completed projects, which was both helpful and informative. The final product, which was completed a few weeks ago was of high quality and done in an efficient and thorough manner. In addition to a quality installation, the customer service was equally good. Jon was great in responding to our numerous late evening emails throughout the process and frequently got back to us within 15 minutes. There are no doubt lower cost roofers available, but if you want the work done right and you want a company that will stand behind their work product - which is what should really matter on any project - call these guys and make them part of your bidding and due diligence process.

I picked Los Gatos roofing because their pricing was competitive and because both my neighbors used Los Gatos roofing recently to redo their roofs and both were happy with the experience.I worked with Robert Brooks, was very happy with him, and recommend him. He took me through the various roof types and options, delivered samples to my house to help me choose, and served as an effective single point of contact through the process, including permitting.Ours was a complex project since it also included a large solar installation. Los Gatos roofing has worked successfully with a number of solar installers in the area and so this was a relatively easy project to execute, requiring only a small amount of coordination from my side.Despite the COVID-19 lockdown, Los Gatos roofing delivered my project on-time and with very little fuss. Comment: Los Gatos roofing did an excellent job on our roof. They were friendly and focused on the work. They were able to completely remove the old and install our 1250 sq ft roof in 2 1/2 days. That included repair of rotted areas . Our sales person ( Dan Chapman ) was very helpful, friendly and professional. He was here every day checking progress and keeping us informed. We passed inspection with no issues. Our new roof looks amassing. It was a pleasure doing business with Los Gatos roofing.

Comment: Los Gatos Roofing did a fabulous job tearing off our very old shake roof and reinstalled a gorgeous Teal-Jones Cedar Shake roof and Sun Tunnel in our half bath. They were quick and very clean. I would highly recommend Los Gatos Roofing to family and friends. In fact our detached garage needs a new roof too and when we are ready to roof that building it will be Los Gatos Roofing again.

Comment: Being an engineer, I am a hard person to please. I contacted 3 different roofing companies for bids and information on re-roofing from wood shakes to asphalt shingles. I decided to go with Los Gatos Roofing based on Dale’s presentation, reviews and price. Dale was great to work with and did respect my input. He suggested adding 5 input vents. After my calculations I thought 9 would be better. He humored me and added 4 additional ones at a small increase. When I did not like the position of 2 added vents where the insulation blocked the opening, he had them blocked up and honored my choice of 2 other locations with no additional charge. He planned the job around my schedule. During the job Dale was easy to contact and fast to address my questions and concerns. I was impressed with the crew that showed up to do the re-roof. To me it appeared that they took pride in their work and it looks like they did a good job. Outside cleanup was very good. After the re-roof, I crawled through the attic to see the results. I picked up a small amount of trash, which is not unusual for changing from shake to asphalt shingles. After the first rain I will inspect the attic for leaks but do not expect to find any. The only thing I was unhappy about was the routing of the back bathroom flexible exhaust tubing through the roof. I would have liked a much shorter and more direct routing of the flexible tubing. It is probably OK but I may have it redone in the future. In the huge job of a re-roof this is a small item that I doubt most people would have noticed. I don’t think many people climb though their attic to inspect a re-roofing job!

They said the job would only take 3 days, which I was skeptical of, because of the last roofing job I had, which took 8 days on a smaller home. Sure enough, they finished in 3 days. Very happy about that. The roof is beautiful! I recommend this company !

The entire crew was professional, polite and super accommodating. I have a 1 year old and needed to leave a few times a day for walks and to do errands. Comment: I had my new roof put on the first full week of January 2018. The crew was prompt and cleaned up each day (it took 2 1/2 days to re-roof my 2 story house). Love the seamless gutters! Had some minor issues (they didnt point the end of the back downspouts the direction I wanted and put the downspouts over the wires of my temporary solar security lights) but they fixed each of these when I pointed them out). They did place one of the back downspouts on the wrong side of the house. Its an additional downspout where there wasnt one before on the corner of the house where theres a walkway, and they placed it on the same side as the existing one at the other end of the house where theres no walkway. I didnt have them move it since I didnt catch it until after the fact and I would have to deal with patching holes in the stucco and an awkward twist up at the roof gutter. It still dumps the water onto the side of the house where I wanted it to, but I dont have the clean line on the back of that section of the house that I wanted. The other issue was the attic. Part of my attic has a floating plywood floor above the insulation for storage and access is a folding pull down ladder in the upstairs hallway. They warned me that there would be a lot of sawdust left in the attic, but I did not expect a shower of nails with the sawdust when I pulled down the access ladder! So something should have been said about nails/staples being there along with the sawdust. Overall it was a very good experience and Im happy with the new roof, gutters and downspouts. Theyve been through a couple of rainstorms and everything is working great.
