Comment: We had a very hard deadline from our insurance to change a roof, and reached out to Ground up Builders. I was very impressed with their professional approach and great customer service. Our project manager, Adi, was great at communicating and clarifying any concerns we had, and at the end they did a great job on time, and the quality of their work was excellent. There were no hiccups, no misunderstandings, and just good work. We will certainly go back to them for any construction projects we may be having in future. Here are some pics from our roof project that also included changing gutters, changing fascia boards and painting them, and of course changing the roof.

Comment: Jacob Hirschorn and Ground Up Builders are truly in a class by themselves! I feel incredibly fortunate to have found them, and I couldn’t imagine hiring anyone else for any work I may need on my house in the future. Jacob and his team not only did outstanding work, but Jacob was also always available to discuss the next steps, make any adjustments, or address any of my concerns. He was always calm and would resolve any minor issues quickly and efficiently. I am a bit of a “perfectionist,” and when I asked things to be redone for small details, Jacob was ALWAYS happy to work with me. I would also stress out, and he would assure me everything would be fine! Even if he was busy, he would make himself available or promptly respond with a text message. They consistently went above and beyond. For example, I am allergic to dust, so they removed the old dusty carpet and items from the room through the outside window instead of going through the house.My job included completely redoing a room and adding a beautiful stone veneer to the front of the house. In the room, the job included removing a closet, fixing the walls where the closet was removed, removing old carpet, sanding and refinishing the original old wood floors from the 1950s (which ended up needing some more wood added where the closet was removed), installing recessed lights, a new light switch, new baseboards, and new outlets. The room looks GEORGEOUS!!! Like a brand-new room!I shopped around, and from the first moment, Jacob stood out from all the contractors. This was July 2022, and my mother and I wanted people to wear masks. He was the only contractor who arrived wearing a mask. He was professional, personable, knowledgeable, and friendly and remained so throughout the job! I had spoken with the owner of a wood floor company and asked, “What would be a good question to ask a contractor to see if he knows what he is doing?” I sent him a picture of my floor, and he said, “Ask him what type of wood you have.” Jacob was the only contractor that knew the answer right away. He also knew what type of wall the closet had that I wanted to remove. Another difference with Jacob was that he didn’t demand a minimum dollar amount to accept a job. He said that he believed that others would see the work, and he would get referrals from us as well as do more work for us later. He was right! We just completed installing a new roof with Ground Up Builders!I should also mention that another door needed to be reframed. It had both a gap and was loudly “creaking.” Also, in one bathroom, the grout was removed and redone. Both of these jobs were FLAWLESS!!! And, again, I really do pay attention to detail!Thank you, Jacob and Ground Up Builders, for your hard work and patience! You’re the best!

Comment: Were so happy with the work done by Jacob & his team at Ground Up Builders! The whole process was transparent and clearly communicated. Whenever we had questions, all of the guys working at our house were helpful and if they didnt know something, they made sure to have Jacob call us to talk through our questions. The price was competitive and the work was done even quicker than they originally estimated. We asked all the employees to wear face masks at our house (we did as well) so everyone was able to stay safe during the project. When were ready for our next home project, well call Ground Up since we know we can rely on their team.

Comment: I challenge anyone to find a better General Contractor and more importantly a stand-up guy who is a real class act. UZI is extraordinary!! Then you meet the gentlemen that work for him and the quality of work and quality of human being continues. I had an idea of adding a little addition off our daughters balcony and he brought it to complete reality and surpassed all our expectations...now this new enclosed addition seems like this side of the house has been here since the house was built! The craftsmanship from framers to tile work was first class. I can’t give a higher recommendation.

Comment: We had a dream... Upgrading our Home back yard with all new high end alumawood patio covers, fire place, BBQ pit, lighting and interlocking pavers. We finally got it, with simply the best builders group out there. and an amazing project management on site from A-Z by Adi Aiish.We could tell from the beginning how much Adi Aiish loves what he does so much that he insisted on making sure we visit his existing local customers remodeling projects, so we could see various styles of homes prior to making any final decisions. The opposite of all other builders who always pushed us to sign a contract without knowledge of details and patience like Adi had.We always wanted To make our back yard warm, cozy, wide open and friendly to host.We got to change our living spaces throughout the years to our needs, and we got to meet many con artists out there. they took our money, and brought up very poor results, and a patio cover that was a collapsing hazard. And this projets that we did with GUB, will definitely stay for life...So, after we’ve been burned so many times in construction, and we had literally tripled our cost of improvements by doing things with the cheapest quote we got. Since it’s all the same, right? Well, in construction it is not. The saying “you get what you pay for” did really well on our end, and we have paid the price. Lesson learned, and we are so glad we met Adi from ground up builders. They were not the cheapest, but definitely delivered their promise from A-Z, and really fast, with high quality of work, and no shortcuts been made, like typical others. Unbelievable.The amount of professionalism, dedication, industriousness and customer service Adi and his team delivered was just awesome.We love to host, and our back yard is very important to us. so we can invite as many friends and family members as we can. We are incredibly happy with the work and the whole crew at Ground Up Builders, Adi especially was there with us for every step of the way from initial quotes to final touchups. The job was completed fast! They were masters at organizing and scheduling the crew to have something finished everyday with no downtime. The work was better than we had imagined, and we highly recommend Adi and Ground Up Builders to anyone who was in our shoes a few months ago, sorting through lists trying to find a good fit.

Comment: So this a review that has been along time coming. But I need to clarify where we are in the process with GUB. We havent started the project yet, but this is our experience with the vetting process and why we chose Adi and GUB. They are helping us with our back yard hardscape and landscape project. Pavers, artificial turf and DG.Like most of you looking for help with a project like this, youre gonna do your homework and really learn what youre getting yourself into. We met Adi with GUB after meeting three other providers and still met with three more following his initial visit. Adi has really taken great care of us so far. That initial appointment was supposed to be 2 hours, but because of our questions and his insights , we spend the day making the vision we wanted. Mind you, we didnt sign with him that day. We still wanted to feel the market and get more quotes. And Adi and GUB were not the cheapest. We still spent about $5k more than the next group, but we really see the value in going with them. I visited a job site that Adi had managed and saw great work and great experiences from those home owners.So my next review will be base on the work that Adi and his crew at GUB will do, but thus far, we have had an amazing experience with Adi and GUB. He really has earned our business. I really think his efforts thus far will be indicative of the finished project. Hes worth the call. Hell treat you like family and help you turn your vision into reality.Stay tuned for photos and another review of the finished project!()()()() Following Completion()()()()I’ll let the pictures speak for themselves on how impressed I have been with the results of my back yard. It was a pleasure to work with field manager Adi Aiish, who when we started this project held true to his promise to come back and fix any issues that may come up. I highly recommend GUB for two reasons:1 All construction projects will encounter some unexpected hurdles and issues. I’ve learned this through my experience with GUB and also other companies. But what I am most concerned about is the willingness to resolve the issues. Adi promised me that on day 1 and even after 3 months following the completion of the project, they stood to that 100%. Not only did they own up, but they didn’t make me jump trough loops and hoops to resolve the issues.2 Communication with Adi was amazing! If you’re like me that you want to stay involved with the project but not want to project manage, then you’ll appreciate Adi’s ability to keep you up to speed every day. At times I would get heated, but Adi was my Zen master through all this.After all is said and done, and having the experiences with GUB (both good and not so good) I would hire Adi and his crew 100% again. I have the backyard I’ve always wanted and thanks to this team, it’s now a reality.

Comment: Theres nothing quite like the feeling of being a satisfied customer and sitting down to write a review of a business that I first noticed because of all the other satisfied customers. Does not happen enough, thats for sure. From the initial late-night reply & follow-up (to my late-night inquiry) from Eric, to meeting Avi the next day (!) to discuss our budget and options --- GUB immediately stood out as a company that takes their work and their customers seriously.I met with a few others before GUB and was getting a sense that no one was going to care about our little project given that our max was at or below the standard minimum, and that everyone seemed quite busy already. The only other company I could find that even remotely compared to Ground Up in terms of reviews and quality of work, sent what I would call a junior contractor who spent a grand total of about 3 minutes here before saying something like Not to be mean or anything, but were kind of a big company... lol. No thanks to him, Im guessing.Avi completely shattered my expectations from the get-go. He asked thoughtful questions and gave thoughtful answers with resourceful ideas and creative possibilities to help us track down that illusive buck bang. I could tell immediately that he genuinely cares about the work and the process which, oddly enough, includes the clients too! Hooray for the customer, someone still knows we exist! In the end, Avi remained both the only one willing to hit our number and the only one I actually wanted to work with. The next lowest bid was well over $5k more, by a far less polished contractor, who couldnt even include everything from our list. The difference was so stark, in fact, that some family back east were quite suspicious at first. I could not blame them! It seemed way too easy!!Thankfully, no one remained suspicious for long. Avi was a rock. He got right in here after contracts were signed and during the various delivery delays he remained patient, checking-in, and at-the ready. Also -- always available via text or call as we had various moving parts in terms of shopping for sizes of things, and some custom elements reliant on other things. When we finally won our game of musical vanities that caused weeks of delay... Avi and his team --- who were all very nice and respectful btw --- were right back here in a matter of days.Heres what you want to know: Avi & GUB delivered exactly as promised while practicing straight, honest, good faith, handshake business, with truly competitive pricing. He was always engaged and often times waiting on us (or Home Depot, rather) to continue the work. He showed experience, creativity, resourcefulness, patience, communication, trustworthiness, humility, and integrity -- in addition to just being a super nice guy who really cares about the work. I couldnt recommend Avi or GROUND UP BUILDERS enough! Stop searching and call them. Youre welcome!
