Comment: Update on 8/25/2023 - after the tropical depression Hilary swept through So. Cal. I checked the roof of the garage on Monday, 8/21/2023, the repaired areas that GreatWay Roofing worked on stayed dry and no issue.**********************************************************After the big rain season in 2023, I discovered that my home has roof damages all over the new tile roof installed ten years ago before the solar panels installation. I was not aware of that the solar roof contractors cracked many new tiles of the roof after they were done and now causing the roof leak when it was rained heavy. The moisture also caused the termites to got to the wood of the roof.I treated the termites and then got a quote of the repair work from GreatWay Roofing which was reasonable and provided a 5 years warranty. 2 of the 5 bids asked me to put on a new roof because the current one was beyond repair. I eventually went with GreatWay because of the warranty and the reasonable costs.The crews did a great job but the estimation of the work was off and costed much more time for the crews to complete (instead of half day of work, the crews spent full day to complete the repair work). So they provided me an update of the costs increase. I agree that the increase was reasonable and proceed with the work.After the work is done, they provided me of pictures of the repaired roof and also they will come back to check on the roof after the solar panels will be put back on by the solar contractors.I thought of dinging them with one less star of the review. However, they explained to me of how they got the estimation off and the need to work in the PM as well for the 4 crews on site. The increase of costs were reasonable. Thus I agreed with it and did not try to take advantage of their off estimation. Overall good experience and good workmanship. Will update if there is any warranty work needed in the future.I recommend to at least ask for a quote and get informed decision of what roof solution or the way how they will repair your roof damages to see if they will earn your business.

Comment: We used GreatWay roofing to remove and replace our roof in July 2020. They were absolutely fantastic then and we have been so happy with our roof. Fast forward to now and with all of the crazy storms, we experienced a leak. We weren’t sure where the leak was coming from and decided to give GreatWay a call to see if they could help diagnose the problem. They were super responsive and had a crew at our house within 2 days. The crew was super friendly and determined it was not a roof leak (Yay!) but could possibly be a stucco leak (not yay). We continue to be so happy with GreatWay roofing, their responsiveness, professionalism, and overall great work. We will continue to refer them to everyone we know and continue to use them in all of our future roofing needs!

Comment: I was in the woolsey fire and the roof melted. I called the manufacture to find someone that installs there product. Gateway roofing was the one they recommended. I call them and talked to Matt. We made an appointment to come up and give an estimate . He showed up on time and went on the roof. within a few days I had an estimate. After a long battle with my insurance company 3 years later I got the money to do the roof. I called matt to get the job started. The whole team from the front end office to all the crews that came here were very professional. The quality of work was excellent. I didnt give them a dime until the job was done. Though I tried. This is a family owned business. Even the workers were all related. One of the most professional companies I ever dealt with. Then we contacted a friend in Camarillo who had just done a roof replacement with GreatWay and was very enthusiastic about their service and quality of work. We too had a great experience with GreatWay and they even came in under budget thanks to some flashing that did not require replacement. What an honest company! We had to wait in line quite a while, but it was worth it. If you are in Ventura County, GreatWay is the only way to go!

Comment: Okay, WHERE DO I START? By the 5 star rating you can obviously see that this company doesn’t need any reviews! BUT…AHHH, HELLO! THEY DO NEED PRAISE!!! THEY ARE JUST THAT AWESOME. I’m always weary of being ripped off because of my current situation, but I absolutely needed to get my 30 year old roof done very badly! From the sweetest receptionist who answered my phone call on day one to Rob who came out and gave an estimate and left an informational brochure with every detail laid out, I thought this company was too good to be true. He measured the necessary area gave a thorough evaluation and told me he’d get back to me through an email with the proposal. After reading the proposal and with competitive pricing for the amount of work that was going to be done, I thought to myself, “That’s it. No need to look any further. GreatWay is it for me.” The office reached out and asked me for which samples I would like to see. I pretty much was undecided and got one of each color and decided after I spoke with the HOA and their preference. I’m very happy with the color I chose to use for my roof. It’s absolutely stunning especially with all the painted trims and such! All the neighbors have complimented how beautiful the home looks now! It’s unreal what the roof color can do. My payment was not due until all of the work was done. I was more than happy to pay as soon as possible just because of how awesome this experience was! Oh! Everyone was so joyful and collaborative with themselves and me knowing that I had to work on the days that they were installing and repairing the roof. And the BEST part?!?! I got text message updates everyday they were on the job and the best one to see was the finished work—I cried, no joke! A roof is a huge investment and a very necessary one to protect our homes and I could not be more satisfied. From the job supervisor, Sean, to all the kind workers who acted as a team, I could not be more thankful for this company. Comment: We recently needed a new roof on our home. We got several estimates from companies in our area. Many estimates were way more than we felt was reasonable for the project. We knew of GreatWay and felt confident in the quality of their work but figured their estimate would be even higher as a result. I am glad we gave them a chance though, because they gave a very fair and reasonable quote for the project. The estimate also included some replacement boards that other companies would have charged over and above the original estimate. The company is very professional and they stand by their work with a longer warranty than any of the other companies we considered. Matt, the Manager, kept us informed of the progress of the project and worked with us over the phone with video etc. when we were out of town or unable to swing by the house to resolve any issues that popped up. Also, Matt did not close our file until we were 100% satisfied with the finished product. We had to wait a little longer to have them do our home but it was worth it!

In both cases, they explained the problem, gave me different options for repairing at different price points with different levels of warranty and were upfront, honest and dependable in every aspect. I first met with Sean Johnson, who came out to the house to provide an estimate; and he was able to answer all my questions. Sean personally supervised the removal of my old roof and installation of the new roof, and the workers not only worked fast but left the premises clean. During the re-roof process, I also had a chance to speak with Dawn Espinosa and Rod Menzel (the owner), who helped schedule the job and select the materials. The entire process was completed quickly and efficiently - my old roof was removed the first morning, and over the next day and a half the new roof was installed. I was also quite pleased when the final cost for the job was completely in line with GreatWays original estimate. I would not hesitate calling GreatWay for any roof work, or referring others to them for roof work. Thanks very much.

Comment: These are the folks to call if you want the job done correctly! The crew was super professional and the foreman was always available to keep us informed about the project. They pulled and reset my residential roof: replaced the broken tiles, replaced any rotted wood they found, and replaced the underlayment. The proof is in the details: the job they did around the chimney, the metalwork done to shunt water out of the corners, they even serviced and painted my roof vents! After they were done, we reviewed the job, reviewed the permit process, and the guys picked up every single nail from my yard! Roofing jobs arent cheap and you want peace of mind- call these folks with confidence. Well done and thank you!

They initially had a very long wait to start (around 3 months), but they had a spot open up and started about 1.5 months earlier than the initial estimate. Price was fair for the amount of work and they were very professional. They arrived on time each day of the week long job and finished right on time with no cost surprises at the end.
