Comment: I needed a whole new roof for a 1700sqft house I just bought. I got quotes from 4 different roofers and Jason from Boyce’s Roofing was the only one that got back to me in a timely manner with a reasonable quote.Communication was great from start to finish, and Jason even sent me progress pictures along the way. His crew was efficient, and were even flexible with working around the termite company for one of the days. They did multiple sweeps around the house and left the house cleaner than before they started!

Comment: Boyces Roofing installed a fantastic Spanish Barrel tile roof on my home in Hidden Meadows. Jason listed to my vision and we aligned on an old world rustic style for my Spanish style hacienda. Jason was great at communicating, following up with tile samples, concrete selection, and making sure the employees on the job were professional. They cleaned up the property each day of the installation. Jason also recommended a solar company and together they collaborated on installing solar and Spanish barrel tiles at the same time. Comment: Boyces Roofing did a great job on replacing our 32 year old clay tile roof! I had over 5 roofing companies come out to give me their opinions on what needed to be done and how much it would cost. Although Boyces was not the least expensive, the price was fair and reasonable. Jason, the owner of the company, was knowledgeable and straightforward about what needed to be done, and was an honest and trustworthy individual. Whether you have a small repair or a major overhaul like our home, I would trust this company to take care of your roof.We had 16 of our corbels replaced, 183 corbels cut to get rid of wood rot and termite damage, and the starter board replaced. The wood prep was a difficult and time consuming project. Mario did an excellent job and I was glad we went with Boyce for the woodwork instead of using an independent contractor. Once the new wood was in place, Jason had his guys stack the tiles so that the fumigators had somewhere to walk, so fewer tiles would be broken. After the fumigation was finished, his guys completed most of the roof and installed the skylights, leaving a path for the painters so they could paint the chimneys. His guys came back after the painters were finished, completed the roof and replaced the tiles the painters broke. With the fumigators, painter, and stucco guy, we had a lot going on at the same time, and we were glad Jason was handling our roof. It was the one thing we didnt have to worry about.The crew cleaned the area daily. Jason checked the site daily to make sure the project was progressing smoothly, and all questions and concerns were promptly addressed. Boyces Roofing is a great family company! It was a pleasure to do business with Jason, his foreman, Gavin, and the entire crew! From start to finish, they were the epitome of professionalism and great customer service!

He provided a reasonable quote to take care of our problem as well as an evaluation on the rest of our roof. Comment: Just stop here and hire Boyce’s for your roofing needs. Jason and Grayson were amazing through the process although mine might have been a little different than most.I hired a popular Solar company to install new Solar and repair my roof (repaper, repair damaged wood, lift and relay tile). My original salesman from this solar company had recommended his choice of roofers they sublet to. They were not the ones to show up to repair my roof, come to find out his recommendation was no longer used (a pricing issue?). The new choice killed my roof, while that may sound a little dramatic it looked bad and leaked at the first rain.During this process Boyce’s did my neighbors roof and we were jealous of the quality compared to ours. So now, the call all contractors or repair technicians hate.When I called Boyce’s and explained the situation there was no hesitation to come out. Grayson did the initial inspection then Jason came out and took pictures of even more horror left behind from the solar company’s roofer.In the end Jason worked with my solar company and myself and the roof was redone with new tiles due to so many tiles being hacked up by the previous installer. I could not be more proud of my roof.Our tract is 29 – 32 years old so a lot of roofs have been redone over the last year or so. If you were to drive around and rate the roofs in our tract there are 2 stand outs, mine and my neighbors coincidently both done by Boyce’s.Oh and of course there is the price thing, Boyce’s charged almost the exact same price as I was charged by the solar company who sent the roof murderers.I will end this like I started it. Just call them, you will also be the pride of your neighborhood.

Comment: I was very impressed with Boyces roofing, the entire experience was extremely positive. I recently moved and purchased a home in Oceanside that needed a roof replaced. I appreciated their patience explaining the current state of the roof tiles, paper, siding, etc. and weigh the pros/cons of a lift and relay vs completely new roof. Going with a lift and lay made more sense for my situation. They clearly communicated the timeline (6-8 weeks out due to the pre-rainy season rush) and stuck to it. They completed the work in about a week, as quoted. During the post-installation inspection, I noted a couple small items and they fixed them within the week. I was very happy with my decision to replace the paper and redo the roof with all the rain that came in December.Overall their customer service was great - the initial sales rep that I signed the contract with was no longer my contact by the time the installation came around, but they didnt miss a beat and continued with and completed the project as initially quoted. Also, there was a small issue with the billing but was again resolved in less than 24 hrs. The price was about on par with others that I got quotes from. Could not have asked for more, highly recommend working with Boyces.

Comment: I heard great reviews and read about Boyce’s Roofing and Repair. The roof on the house was almost 30 yrs old with concrete shingles. I noticed many homeowners in the development were having their roofs replaced. Then we saw some termite droppings. I called a termite inspector and received a bid of almost $9k to remove and replace some facia board. I thought that’s crazy because their contract stated it you may need to hire someone to reinstall the rain gutters.We called Boyce’s roofing and they removed the roof, installed new underpayment, replaced some plywood, removed a lot of facia and some soffit boards, they even removed some bad boards in the patio area and painted them, plus installed the rain gutters. Sure it was more money than just spot treatment but now I have peace of mind again. Jason’s team is extremely hard working. They left the job site clean each day and came to work. A few neighbors came by to see the work and others complemented about the way they were so thorough. If you are looking for a roofer and want quality and professionalism. We highly recommend Boyce’s Roofing and Repair

Comment: I received four quotes for a clay tile roof replacement from four different roofing companies and, although Boyces Roofing was not the least expensive, they were extremely responsive and professional in visiting my home and providing a reasonable quote. The work itself was exceptional. My roof was a 50-year-old clay tile roof and required meticulous care in installing since the tiles are so fragile and I wanted the crew to stagger the mounting of the tiles, with cement in between each pair, to give them height and the overall roof an aesthetically pleasing look. Comment: As a small business owner, former construction worker, and professional engineer, I am hard to please. But believe the hype. Boyce’s Roofing is the single best contractor I have used in Southern California. Their bid was modestly higher than two others, but I decided to use them based on their reviews. My roof was atypical, with three different elevations, patios, and a walk-out so I knew I needed an experienced roofer. They also did ALL of my gutters. They did my job in 10 days, with a 6-8 man crew daily. They were on time ever single day, even early (before 0700) most days. Their workers worked from 7-6 daily, taking a half hour lunch. They cleaned up at night. They were respectful and hard working. The job was done to completion without any hiccups. They were on schedule with when they said they would get to me. The combination and quality and service is unparalleled. Unlike most roofing contractors, they pay their employees hourly and treat them well. They take their time to do a good, thorough job. This is unique I would have paid even more than what they quoted given their level of service and attention to detail.

Comment: We live on a golf course and get hit with many errant golf balls. Needless to say our clay tiles get destroyed. After years and years of repairs and roof leaks I’ve had enough. So we decided to research alternatives and came across a Stone Coated Steel Roof. There are very few companies in San Diego that offer this particular type of roof and speaking with other roofing companies many of them had never even heard of the product. Then I found Boyce’s Roofing and Repair. The entire project from start to finish was fantastic. Jason and his team are amazing. They were on time and very thorough. We ran into a snag with our HOA due to the architectural controls which delayed the project about a month and throughout the entire process Jason was patient, kind and understanding. Comment: I found Boyce’s Roofing & Repair while searching for a contractor to do some fascia board replacement. I checked out the Yelp and Google reviews, which were very good. I also checked out their license with the CA Contractor Licensing Board and the BBB and did not find any adverse information about them. As an aside, I check out every contractor I am looking at hiring on the BBB and CA Contractor Licensing websites.From the first contact I made with their office, the customer service was courteous, prompt and professional. In less than 2 days I received a call from Jason in response to my initial call requesting a quote and he set up the appointment to meet with me that week. Jason was professional, knowledgeable, and personable. He didn’t rush the appointment, we discussed all of the work that needed to be done, he explained the ways in which the current fascia board had been incorrectly installed and what should be done to correct the issue in order to keep the problems causing the need for the fascia board repairs in the first place.From the time I signed the contract, it didn’t take long to set the schedule for the job to be done and Jason kept me informed the entire time. I never had to wonder when they were going to start.The morning of the job Jason arrived before his crew to mark up the sections to be replaced. His crew was great! I had no experience with roofing repairs and at one point I went outside and asked questions about the job and they took the time to show me the work they were doing and didn’t get upset at the interruption.Then at some point later in day Jason came to the job site, to check in with his crew and again spent time speaking with me about the job and answering a question I had.The other great thing about his crew was the clean up! Part of the job also included the tear down and take away of a large wooden patio cover, but when they were done you would never have known there was a 16’x18’ wooden patio cover there because they cleaned up every speck of the debris. They cleaned up every bit of old fascia board, debris from the take and installation, they didn’t leave any water bottles or garbage of any kind. They also didn’t trample and break up the plants that were next to the house. I really can’t tell you how frustrated I get with contractors/repairmen doing work at my home and busting up my things in the process of doing the work. Jason’s crew took great care not to break anything and I couldn’t be more pleased.Jason arranged to pick up the final payment the day after the job was complete and again took time to answer a question I had about the work.I already know that I will contact Boyce’s again next year to do the rest of the fascia board and gutters (budget didn’t allow for everything this time around) because the workmanship is high quality, the staff were professional, courteous and respectful. You can’t go wrong working with this company.

Comment: I was needing a new roof and asked the neighbor down the street who they used. They couldnt say enough good things about Boyce Roofing.I called Boyce for an estimate, Jason was very professional and thorough.Yes his bid was a little higher than others, but seeing the work Boyce did down the street I felt more comfortable with Boyce.The week they were starting the re-roof, I was out of town. My wife, Jason and I took advantage of group texting. When Jason found more fascia that needed to be replaced, he sent me pictures and I approved the added cost.The re-roof went smoothly and by the time I returned from my trip (5 days) the roof was completed. I was pleasantly surprised to find out the cost per foot for any new Fascia or starter board wood included primer and matching paint. No need to find a house painter !!!!I would recommend Boyce Roofing to anyone wanting their work done right!!.

Comment: Nobody likes to spend money on their roof - at least I dont because repairing a section or getting a new roof does nothing to raise my property value. Never the less, I had a roof leak (yes in San Diego) and had no idea who to call. So I went online and found Boyces Roofing out of Oceanside and I live in San Marcos. I did the 3 quotes thing and by far and away, Jim gave me the best long-term option I was looking for. Jim and his staff were the best communicators, (which is not always the case in this trade) they do what they say they are going to do and at a fair price. Once I turned my project over to Jim and his staff; I had peace of mind that my problem was going to get resolved.

Comment: Great customer service and quality work. Boyces replaced all my out of code vents on the roof and did an excellent job restoring my roof to better than new condition. They also replaced a LOT of broken tiles. Im very pleased with the company and their work.
