Comment: My husband and I worked with Shawn Ajdari on an extensive renovation: converting the existing attic into a living space (including structural reinforcement); adding a new stairway, dormers, and windows; drywall installation; installing lights, outlets, and ceiling fans; roof replacement; finish carpentry; and wood flooring. Shawn and his team were responsive, worked with our timelines (including splitting the renovation into 2 phases), and performed high quality and timely work. Shawn worked with our architect and structural engineer to ensure plans were complete and all inspections were passed. I would absolutely work with Shawn again and have already recommended him to friends.

Comment: Shawn did a great job on our projects. We did a whole-house interior and exterior paint, carpet replacement and window replacement (plus some decorative roof tile work). For each of those, he had great connections to trades workers in San Francisco who were just as responsive and responsible as he is, himself. There are a lot of contractors in SF that will ghost you at some point -- Shawn has never done that, even when he was on an international trip. Would recommend Shawn and AYA Homes for your project!

Comment: Shawn Adjari was highly recommended to me on NextDoor for exactly the same type of tricky job that I had to deal with: removing the upper deck from the roof above my kitchen, repairing the kitchen roof and then replacing the deck on top. He was very honest and frank when doing the job estimate, pointing out the various issues with my elderly deck and alerting me that some additional materials might need to be purchased to replace possible rotting wood joists under the deck. His team was very professional and efficient, working all day for three days straight and getting the job done early. Shawn also made useful suggestions on how best to preserve the deck once the work was done. When I noticed a couple of small issues with the decks latticework once the job was complete, he promptly sent out his team to revisit the work area and make additional adjustments. I strongly recommend Shawn Adjari for anyone with this type of project.

Comment: We used Shawn and AYA LLC for a new bathroom addition, backyard deck build and flagstone placement.Overall we were very happy with the quality of work that was done by Shawn and his team. Shawn has 20+ years of experience as a builder/contractor and showed strong expertise dealing with the myriad of issues that came up during the renovation of our nearly 100 year old house. Shawn is a very frequent communicator constantly keeping up with us and giving us updates on the project as well as ensuring that we are one step ahead in terms of buying materials, having decisions finalized, etc. This was very appreciated as many contractors under communicate and may not respond to texts, calls, etc.During the project there were several decisions and improvements that had to be made that we had some back and forth with Shawn regarding whether it would be in the initial scope of the project. This is normal for every complex project, and will happen with all contractors/project managers. In the end we were very happy with the work done which is what matters.Ill look to work with Shawn again as I do more work on our house.
