Comment: I went with this company because of their high rating on google. I had a tile reset done on my entire roof. It is a cheaper but just as effective alternative to a total roof replacement.I have had a great positive experience with them. What makes a company stand out from others are their workers. Above it all roofing has an incredible crew. They were punctual, hard working and professional. The work was supposed to be done in 3 days. They finished it in 2 days. The clean up was great. David my contact at the company was easy to work with and always responsive to my calls/texts. Thank you Above it all roofing for a job well done.

Comment: The roof of my 28-year-old house was leaking. I called Above-It-All-Roofing to get an estimate to repair the leak. Dave came over and prepared the estimate while he was here. We went over the estimate in detail and Dave answered my questions. There was no pressure to sign the contract and Dave provided his cell phone number in the event I had more questions.I decided to use Above-It-All-Roofing because they had the best estimate, my sister used Above-It-All-Roofing 15 years ago and she’s happy with her roof, and the company has many positive reviews.The roofing job was to replace the felt on the entire roof, reuse existing tiles, and replace broken tiles. The cost was approximately $20, 000.The job was scheduled, the workers showed up on time, worked long days, cleaned up each day and finished in 4 days. After they finished, I noticed black flashing was installed. I wanted the flashing to be painted the same color as the stucco, but I did not have the paint. Later, I also noticed some tiles on the lower roof were chipped or discolored.I bought the paint, and I called Dave to schedule a time to have the flashing painted, the chipped tiles replaced, and the discolored tiles relocated. Dave came over with one of his workers who painted the flashing, replaced the chipped tiles, and relocated the discolored tiles.I am happy with the job Above-It-All-Roofing did on my roof and I recommend Above-It-All-Roofing for anyone looking for a roofer.

Comment: 7 months into my roof and I couldnt be happier. From the original inspection (when it was raining), to the timely installation and question answering, my project manager Dave went above and beyond.I originally held off on writing a review because things could go wrong (as they could), but Im confident in the work Dave and his team did when working on my roof.I will state for the purposes of this review that the end cost was ~25% higher than the original quote, and that is something to always keep in mind. But the extra cost was attributed to lumber costs due to rotting wood below the panels (something I had suspected), which isnt always visible.However, the unexpected must always be...expected and I do not penalize Above It All Roofing for it. I mention this for the consumer who reads this and might not be aware of additional costs that might be incurred.

Comment: The running joke re our 50 year old shake shingle roof was, one more good wind and the roofers wouldnt have to charge us for removal.Five minutes after calling Above It All Roofing, I got a call from David Brunn, Sales and Project Manager, that afternoon Dave came by the house and wrote up a contract with a great quote. We were anxious as to what additional work would be needed once the shingles came off, but Dave was very reassuring that they could handle it, even if there were a slight increase in cost. I had my doubts as to them having seen worse jobs, I knew we had to be right up there in the top two! To no ones surprise, the Tear Off Team, were done in less than two hours.Once the roofing job started, I had a suggestion re the facia at the front of the house and Dave made it happen...no fuss no problem! Dry rot and termite damaged made it necessary to replace 6 sheets of plywood and it increased the quote a minimal amount...well worth it!Dave was available by phone and came to the worksite at least once a day - despite seeing surgeons for a broken hand..probably from writing up so many contracts! :-) Manuel who headed up the roofing crew was exceptional: they showed up promptly, worked steadily throughout the day, despite the tremendous heat wave we were experiencing, and cleaned up after each day.The Above It All Roofing team are hard-working, pleasant and professional. Comment: In February 2023, my mom started experiencing a few roof leaks in her home and needed to get a roofer to come in and assess the state of her existing roof and what steps were needed to get the roof upgraded/repaired. As a part of that effort, she reached out to a couple roofing companies, one of which came from very positive reviews from Angies List. One of the companies simply stood out from the rest, Above It All Roofing, Inc. The PM, Dave Brunn, did an outstanding job not only in laying out what the issue was, but was very patient explaining the alternatives on the job to my mom. He was transparent in that things may change as work got started that could result in increased costs. As tiles are removed, other areas of damage could come up which wouldn’t be known when the initial assessment was done. Dave quickly provided a fair and competitive bid, which my mom went with. Dave went out of his way to tarp up the area that had previously had some leaks and provided a time frame on when the job could be completed and how long it would take once his crew got started. Dave was attentive and available when my mom had any questions. He was able to get the job done in early June, far sooner than expected. My mom was thrilled with the work product from Dave and his team. Highly recommend.

Dave Brunn was our Project Manager, and he reviewed the quote with us and made sure we clearly understood all the details before we signed the contract. We did a restack of our tile roof. This approach saved us a good deal of money as most of our tiles could be reused. The workmen were professional, friendly, and diligent. They replace all questionable wood and put down a double layer of waterproof sheeting before replacing the tiles. Dave came out every day to monitor progress, answer all of my questions, and ensure all the work met the highest standards. After the job was complete, they did an excellent job of cleaning up. Dave also handled all the necessary city permits, and we passed the subsequent inspections with flying colors. Above It All Roofing is a completely honest company, and I believe that is a difficult thing to find these days. They did everything they listed in the contract, they used high quality materials, they did high quality work, and they were attentive and responsive to all my concerns. Comment: They did an outstanding job retiling a 30 yr old Spanish tile custom roof about 2 months ago. This was a 3-week job that required extensive wood replacement from termite damage. Manuel and his team have good carpentry skills and the work areas were left clean each night. They also prepped an area for a solar installation. Dave Brunn was extremely responsive and always accessible every day. After the heavy rains over the past several weeks, everything works as it should with no leaks. Later that SAME DAY, Manager Dave Brunn was at our home, inspecting not just the fallen tile but the overall status of the roof. He assessed the situation and determined what was needed. When our roof tune up was performed the repair crew replaced ten broken tiles and then identified and repaired areas that might pose a future problem. The entire experience was handled professionally and in a timely manner. I was moved to action by a serious leak, in our second-floor bonus room, caused by the heavy rain and high winds we have had over the winter.I found several positive reviews online for Above it All Roofing and gave them a call. I received reply from David, their Customer Service Manager, the same day. He set an appointment to visit my house to inspect the roof and provide a quote. He inspected the Fascia boards, Soffit and Eaves looking for weather damage and wood rot. The hidden wood rot was considerable even though I paint my house when needed. I was appreciative he found it. Dave gave me a fair quote and because of his explanation of the issues and his honesty, I hired Above it All Roofing that same day.The repairs commenced within a week. The skilled four-man crew who did the job were very diligent workers and the only break they took was for lunch. They always were on time every day. I was impressed by their dedication and knowledge.Above it All Roofing deserves my highest recommendation for the very complete, quality job. Comment: We had been putting off getting a new roof for a few years. Prior to COVID, we had Dave give us a quote, along with a few other roofers. Daves quote was competitive at that time, so when we decided to finally put on the new roof, we called him back to quote again. When some others decided to gouge due to COVID and supply issues, Dave produced a still-competitive quote. He also took a lot of time with us - explaining the process, the materials, any variable costs that we might see once the old roof was off. (Wood needed to replace areas of dry rot, etc.) I definitely felt like he was patient and wanted to make the project work for us. So, we finally gave him the greenlight and then the crew descended on our house! These guys worked hard, full days and were quite nice when I had to shepherd my kids in and out of the house to school, etc. You could tell that safety is a top priority for this crew. They also left the job site neat at the end of each day, which was much appreciated. I think the best thing about this process is that Dave was checking in daily either in person or via phone to make sure everything was okay. And, he was there on the last day to do the walk around and make sure we were happy with everything. There was one tweaked gutter from the demo crew that Dave made sure got fixed immediately - at their expense - the next day. No begging or haggling or endless follow-up. It was a great experience start to finish!

My wife and I recently moved to the Shady Canyon area of Irvine from another county in Southern California. The first major thing we knew we had to undertake was the replacement of the entire clay tile roof. Without the benefit of our previous list of trusted vendors accumulated over 30 years, we were faced with hiring someone we didn’t know; a fairly sizeable risk considering the size and cost of the project. Naturally, we turned to the web as a starting point. Among the roofing companies we found listed was one whose reviews were almost too good to be true; Above It All Roofing. We are experienced in real estate matters and, by nature, cautious people who subscribe to the principle that if something sounds too good to be true, it probably is. So, we performed our due diligence including, among other things, verification of license, an absence of litigation, and an interview with a prior customer. The feedback was all positive. Additionally, we were willing to give the company the benefit of any further doubt because the owner previously served in the U.S. military. So, we took a chance. And, we’re very glad we did. The company’s sales rep and job supervisor, David Brunn, showed up promptly after my initial inquiry and he had solid answers to my questions and concerns. Thereafter, he and his crew performed exactly as he promised, taking care with the details of the installation and leaving the job in such a condition that you’d never know they had been here. Comment: These guys are great. The most important thing to me is that when a contractor says they are going to be here, they actually show up. These guys are always there when they say they are going to be. In fact, they were EARLY sometimes.Of course, the quality of their work is important. When it rained I used to worry about leaks, be when it rains I sit by the window with a nice Cafe Mocca and watch the rain coming down, feeling nice and safe.While a roof is not cheap, their price was reasonable, well worth the results. I am so very very glad we called these guys. The only problem is that they did such a good job, I dont think I am ever going to need to call them again.Thanks Above it all roofing.

Comment: Above it All RoofingWhen I had multiple roofs’ leak, I went online to find a reliable company to assess our roof. Above it All Roofing ratings and reviews stood up above many companies and I gave them a call and got an appointment within a reasonable time. When David – the project manager - and his team came to our house, they evaluated our roof and showed me the issues. They explained to me that I needed a new roof for our house. Then, David gave me a detailed explanation of what is needed to fix the roof and he gave me an estimate upfront. When his team came to start the work, they were very professional: they covered the AC unit, replaced all the damaged woods, replaced all the damaged tiles, and they changed all the vents. They also moved all the originals tiles (which are slightly different from the new tiles) in the front of the house and kept the new tiles in the back of the roof. The original tiles are not in stores anymore. At the end of the day, the team cleaned up the debris and blew up the dust before they left. Overall, I am very satisfied with the quality of work provided by Above it All Roofing and their price, to mention, is very competitive. Personally, I was not familiar to roofs’ work, but they made it easy for me and I highly recommend using Above it All Roofing for your roof leaks.

Comment: Above It All Roofing – Review – May 2020I generally don’t write a lot reviews of contract work etc. but felt on this occasion I would share my experience regarding a project recently completed with Above It All Roofing. After a few leaks this spring I contacted several companies for estimates on re-felting and replacing worn barrel tiles on my roof. The roof was now 27 years old and the underlayment of felt ( one layer) had deteriorated down to the plywood. Dave from AIA was trustworthy from the start in suggesting that we recondition the entire roof by relaying two new layers of 30lb felt and replacing worn tiles. Doing the entire roof would be the most cost effective approach to take versus spot repairs as eventually more leaks would occur. I took his advice and his repair estimate was both comprehensive and fair as compared to 3 others. The difference in selecting AIA was Dave’s honesty, knowledge and follow up. His work crew was on time, cleaned up and did an excellent job. I now have “piece of mind” and a 10 year warranty with a solid company and I don’t expect to have any issues when the rain returns. I give AIA 5 Stars and highly recommend them.

Comment: We had a great experience with Above It All Roofing. After getting a leak in our 16 year old concrete tile roof, we called a few roofers out to assess the problem. The first couple companies gave us a estimate to replace the leaking section without inspecting the roof. Dave from Above It All Roofing immediately assessed the roof and realized that we had slipped tiles all over our roof, meaning that we would eventually have leaks all over the roof. He actually got on our roof and took several pictures so we could see what he meant. We hired Above It All Roofing to remove the tiles, replace the underlayment, and reinstall the tiles. The price was fair and the work was done in the estimated 3 days. The crew was efficient, extremely hard working, and they cleaned up our property well at the end of each day. Comment: We knew our roof was on the Yeah, we probably need to replace that at some point list. Enter the annual termite inspection and a report of Whelp, the good news is no termites. The bad news is that we see some water damage up on the beam by the chimney, we think you might have a roof leak.Roof moves up to the number one spot on the list as this was August and winter was just around the corner (which for Californians means the rainy season.)After getting three bids we opted for Above It All because we felt the most comfortable with Bob, he listened to what we wanted in terms of additional ventilation and suggested a solid cool roof product with ENERGY STAR certification. Their next opening to start work was about a month out, which worked out perfectly and we got an excellent new roof before one of the rainiest winters weve had recently. Bob scheduled everything extremely well, his guys were respectful of the property and cleaned up every day. Tear-off took one day and the re-roof took another three days.We give them a solid recommendation and suggest that you dont wait until your roof has clearly failed since it will take about a month to get a contractor out.

Bob was great. Just the facts presented so we could make our own decision. Scheduling was fine, always kept us in the loop. Crew was professional, careful not to damage anything like plants, etc. and cleaned up after themselves after each work day. Love our new roof.

When I met with you I felt that you stood behind your word, you had integrity and I felt comfortable that you knew what you were talking about. You explained the entire process of what might need additional work after removal of the old roof. You followed up when you said you would. When I signed the contract with no deposit down, you provided a date and schedule of when work would begin. Your team did a fantastic Job throughout the entire process. Comment: My wife and I searched Google, Yelp and Aggie List for the prospective roofing companies to assess our aging roof and to propose the right actions to repair the water damages, which we could see at the corners of our roof. Instead of asking up for 6 companies for this job, as indicated by other reviews, we nailed it down to 2 companies only after extensive search. These 2 companies all have very good reviews to start with, and they came to look at our roof promptly and both came to the same conclusion that we needed a complete re-roofing. The project would replace the water-proofing felt layer and any broken tiles. Any water damaged or termite infested wood should be replaced also at pre-determined per foot price per category.These 2 companies bid were a little different. But ‘Above It All Roofing’ has a 10-year warranty, which my wife cares a lot. Then the sale person Dave made a big difference in the decision making. He was courteous and honest. We felt that could trust him. He worked hard to get our project and came to our house 2 times before we finally signed the contract with ‘Above It All Roofing’. Our project then was scheduled to start.The owner of the other company happened to know the owner of ‘Above It All Roofing’, Mike. Even after we notified him that we would go with ‘Above It All Roofing’, he still gave us good reference and blessing. So we felt good choosing the right company for our roof project.There were 5 people worked on our roof. They were nice and friendly, cleaned all debris at the end of the day before they left. Everything went smoothly. We were surprised that there was more wood damage than was expected earlier. Dave came here every day and showed us the damaged wood after it was replaced.We are happy with the work done and believe that an excellent review is what the company, their workers, and Dave deserve.

Comment: I wrote the review below almost four years ago. This is what I am writing now:This is my second review of Above It All Roofing. The strange rainy season we had recently wrecked havoc on the roof that Above It All did for us 10 years ago. One can only imagine after 10 years how a company would respond to a customer complaining about a leaking roof -- especially after we thought everything was fixed a few years ago when we called a few years ago. But Above It All Stood By Their Warranty AGAIN. For that, my wife and I are extremely grateful. They are terrific people and do really fine work. Thank you Dave and Mike - HIGHLY RECOMMENDED.***Above It All installed my new roof about 6 years ago. They did a real fine job (and at a very fair price) -- but that is not the reason for this Google review. In the last month, I noticed some interior water damage to my ceiling -- which as it turns out was caused from rusty unsealed nails on the roof that allowed water to seep through the roof to my ceiling. This is unfortunate, but the kind of thing that happens. The good news is after all this time, not only did Above It All come by to repair my roof, they called the next day to take care of all the bills as a result of the damage. THEY STAND BY THEIR WORK AND THEIR WARRANTY! This is a very responsible company. I highly recommend Above It All Roofing.

They completed the job in 3 days, cleaned up every day after work, and did an overall outstanding job with the new composite shingles. David Brunn, the project manager, was always available by phone and was here at least twice every day, followed through on all aspects. Looks great! Installed the solar attic fans I bought and additional roof vents. On top of that, their quote was a lot less than the other two I got. Highly recommended.

Not only did the team do a great job on installing my roof, they cleaned up every evening, and were very efficient with the overall job. Our project manager David Brunn was great to work with and always available. He coached us through the entire process from start to finish and was on the job site often (multiple times per day in some cases). We felt lucky to have Manuel be the foreman for our job. He and his crew were super friendly, watched out for our nesting baby birds, and did a fantastic job. The other roofing contractors either did not return the call or their answering machine advised that they were too busy to provide estimates. Their work is first rate and their price is fair. They do not nickel and dime you with change orders; everything except replacing damaged wood is included in their estimate, including flashing.

Comment: I would highly recommend Above It All Roofing. They are licensed, bonded and insured. (You really dont want those weekend roofers working on your roof.) Like many Orange County home owners, we discovered a roof leak during the historical rains this winter. Other roofing companies promised for weeks to give us a bid but never showed up. David Brunn from Above It All Roofing showed up. He gave us a bid on 2/22. The work started on 3/13 and was completed on 3/19. The crew was great. They cleaned up every night and were very careful to find any nails in the yard. David came by several times to check on their progress. As David will tell you himself, Above It All isnt the least expensive roofing company but their work comes with a 10 year warranty. I can sleep at night knowing if we have any roof issues I can call Above It All Roofing. (Make sure you make a copy of contract agreement.)

Comment: I worked with Dave Brunn. From first contact to completion everything went perfectly. We had a little rain during our tile reset job but Above it All, never missed a beat and completed the job on-time. After the end of each day, the crew cleaned up the front and back of my house which was greatly appreciated. Having your roof redone is not something any of us want but for a 30 year old house, a lot of work was needed and although I might not need Above it All Roofing for another 30 years, I will enthusiastically recommend them to anyone I know with roofing concerns.

They gave me a timely bid, did everything as promised, notified me about dry rot, and kept my area clean every day when they finished working. David Brunn was great to work with. He provided proof of their Workers Comp and General Liability Insurance, as they are fully licensed and insured. This is the second time that we have chosen Above It All Roofing to fulfill our roofing needs. We were extremely satisfied after the first roofing job they installed for us a few years ago, which was on a flat roof with difficult drainage issues. They did an outstanding job and provided ideas and solutions we had not thought of, and the roof is still serving us well.After having to have our house tented for termites, many tiles were discovered to be broken. We called Above It All Roofing once again, and Dave, the Project Manager who had represented the company before, came out and spent time with us to assess the situation and answer our questions.We had been told by the termite company that 19 tiles were broken. Manny and his team came soon after to replace the broken tiles. However, when they got up on the roof and could see the whole picture, there were actually 32 tiles broken and places where the material lining underneath the tiles had torn through.Considering that the roof was the original roof from more than 40 years ago, and after discussing several options with Dave, Dave suggested that we not totally re-roof with all new tiles, but instead re-tile with our existing tiles that were in good shape, and install new ones where needed, with all new liner paper. And, that is what we elected to do.We appreciated Dave’s expertise and problem-solving abilities, as well as his care of us in understanding our needs and concerns and spending the time with us to make sure we understood and were clear on options. Dave was so patient and kind in seeing us through the processes and in answering my questions as we went along. He is a fine, integrous man with whom it is a pleasure to work.As to the actual job, Manny and his team worked so very hard for 6 days, even on Christmas Eve day, to make sure our job was completed as quickly as possible. They reported on time, worked efficiently all day, and then cleaned up completely at the end of each day.Moreover, Manny and the “boys” have great skill and expertise and are perfectionists. They did a beautiful job! On top of that, they are kind and gracious people, and it was a pleasure to have them at our home. They came right out determined to root cause and we hired them to make the repairs. They are easy to work with. Comment: I typically do not write reviews but the fantastic service I received from Dave compelled me to write this one. He provided remarkable service from the initial call to the end of the project. It was very evident that Dave had significant experience with Tile roof and he quoted the best price to do required repairs. During the project he also took care of some slipped tiles for free. His team completed the work on time and did a clean job. About 2 days after the work was completed, I noticed one broken tile which his team missed to replace. Dave came in and replaced it himself without any additional charges. He did so happily and with a big smile. It was a pleasure to work with Dave and I will be hiring him for all my roof work in future. It is hard to find people like him.

Comment: We had a bee hive show up in an area of our roof. We called the bee man to remove it and he ended up taking a major section of our roof off. He. said that we would have to find a roofing company to reinstall the roofing paper and tile.that he had taken apart. He gave us a couple of companies to call. After talking to several different contractors, we decided on Above It All Roofing to put us back together. Dave came out and gave us a quote and a day they could get started. Comment: I was given the task of collecting reroof bids on a couple of buildings inside the refinery. I went on line and researched roofing contractors. Above It All Roofing has phenomenal reviews from several websites as well as Angie’s List. I knew we were in good hands. After our management team went through the bidding process we decided to contact the owner Mike about the complexities of the work, we wanted to make sure it could be done without any glitches.Due to the fact we are a heavy industry facility, we are required to adhere to OSHA’s rigorous safety guidelines. All contractors are required to have our Contractor Orientation completed by all people doing work in the refinery. Dave Brunn /Project Manager with Above It All Roofing was so easy to worth with regarding these guidelines. He made sure every roofer and sub-contractor who came in our facility during the roofing process adhered to the strict guidelines. The roofers and Dave even had to participate in our weekly Facility Evacuation/Tailgate Drill that was being conducted during the roofing job.Along with the specific safety requirements, all contractors are also required to carry $1,000,000.00 in Workers Comp Liability Insurance. Above It All Roofing was licensed, boned and insured.Initially these jobs were estimated to take 3-4 days, due to the extensive amount of dry rot on both buildings, the job ended up taking 6 days. Dave was there every day making sure the roofers were complying with our strict safety guidelines. Mike the owner came out to check on the job as well.The employees at the refinery were also commenting on how professional everyone was from Above It All Roofing. They were also thrilled that the roofers including Dave, would clean-up and sweep the areas every day. Typically we are left with the task of cleaning up after contractors. This was not the case with Above It All Roofing.After the job was completed, I had fellow co-workers ask for their business cards, so in the future Above It All Roofing could do their personal homes.If you are looking for a roofer who is honest, reliable, and goes above and beyond what is expected. Comment: I called Above It All Roofing to have an estimate done on a complete re-roofing. The house we had purchased 2 months prior was leaking water from 3 spots and damaging our interior paint and drywall. It was a 50 year wood shingle roof with a layer of metal Decra tiles that were dented and not installed with proper flashing during an addition 20+ years prior. Dave Brunn was our project manager that came out to bid the job. We had 3 bids from A+ rated Angles List roofing companies, and while Above It All was not the cheapest, I felt the most comfortable having Dave and his team do our job. Dave inspected the roof by climbing up on it, as well as using a satellite to accurately get our square footage needed. He wrote the quote on the spot and followed up to make sure we understood everything. We were able to book the job for 2 months later. Dave handled all of the permits with the city, as well as answering my MANY, MANY questions about shingle colors, trim colors. He even ordered shingles for me to have so I could make a decision based on our homes paint color.Replaced entire roof on two story 2600 sq foot home with Certainteed Landmark TL shingles. Removed a 2 layer roof - 30 year old metal shingles laid over 50 year old wood shingle. Laid all new plywood sheathing with radiant heat barrier. Replaced a 4x4 skylight on our second story, replaced most of the wood fascia trim boards, installed all new metal flashing and vent pipes. The job took 4 1/2 days total. The team showed up early each day and worked from 7 am until almost 5 pm. The first two days they completely tore off the old roof, and boy was that a huge undertaking. The 3rd day they laid the plywood, installed new fascia boards where needed and had the city inspector inspect and sign off on the job before moving on to the laying of shingles on the last day. They painted all roof vents and flashing to match the new roof color. At the end of each day, they completely cleaned up the job site, removing nails, debris and wood to make our yard safe and clean. Every worker at the site was polite, and Alex, our foreman, was there to answer every single question I had throughout the week. (There were many!) Project manager Dave Brunn was at the site every day, many times per day, checking on progress and answering questions as needed. Our foreman Alex even recommended a painter for us to have our home painted after the roofing was completed. The painter he recommended painted our entire house and did a fabulous job as well. The level of communication from this team was exceptional. We couldnt be more pleased.Our original quote was a bit lower than the final cost, due to the wood replacement we needed. The roofing company will not know how much wood rot you have until the roof is completely torn off, so make sure you budget for the price to increase slightly due to this. We were told this up front so there were no surprises as the job progressed.Overall, I consider myself a pretty picky person when it comes to home repairs. I will pay for quality, and expect the best service. Above It All Roofing definitely delivered beyond what I expected. I wouldnt hesitate to recommend them to anyone for a roofing job.
