Comment: David at SoCal Green Roofing came to me as a referral from a friend. I did a lot of researching, and chose to use him because he is a factory authorized SoCal Green Roofing Contractor with Owens Corning (not to be confused with David’s SoCal Green Roofing.) I am a picky and detailed person, and David patiently answered all of my questions. When I do a job around my house I chose more qualified contractors so I am sure the job gets done right. I find that you get what you pay for in the long run. I ended up choosing the 50 year warranty, so I don’t have to do this again. The final result is a beautiful new roof that really adds dimension and color to my house. David was very helpful in frequently keeping me updated of the progress of the job. He also coordinated the job with the other contractors; asbestos removal and electrical updating, so that my job was finished on time. Thanks David!

From Erika who works in the office, to the owners, Dave & Aaron, to the men on the job, Vincent (the crew leader), each one more professional and personable. The job entailed working with other vendors (AC/Vac, Skylights, Electrician, Woodwork) and the referrals were equally professional and experts in what they provided for us. All work, all conversations, all interactions were of A+++ quality which made the experience not as painful as it could have been. Comment: I spent over a year interviewing close to 20 different vendors looking for a roofer I could believe in. Aaron ******* at SoCal Green Roofing turned out to be the person I trusted the most. I received bids much lower and bids much higher. Ultimately it came down to trust. Hes straightforward, thoughtful, knows his stuff, told me things about HVAC unit my own HVAC guys didnt tell me, and he steered me to the best solution for my house. Done on time, no delays, no problems of any kind. SoCal Green Roofing is A rated on the Better Business Bureau and theyre certified by the county to inspect their own work—no delays waiting for an inspector. Only a very few roofing contractors have this stamp of approval, and SoCal Green Roofing has it. Oh and I had a couple of very hot rooms, Aaron recommended low profile OHagen vents to cool them down. Didnt even know they existed. Great warranty for workmanship from SoCal Green Roofing also for 10 years. Now all we have to do is wait for a really hard rainstorm. (One final note: dont be surprised because Aaron is very very tall.)

Comment: I’m very happy about my state of the art new cool roof with materials that could be no better and look beautiful with 6 new attic venting as well. It was great having the expert professionalism during the installation. That included getting all my many questions answered while learning about the new materials which were also highest of ratings I saw on Consumer Report. Everything was clear and itemized. The drone photos during the work schedule were amazing. It was a relief to see the new vs. old plywood that had to be replaced via those drone photos. Permits and completion were extremely fast and I was able to get a loan through that was important.

Comment: I have a couple of negative things to say about SoCal Green Roofing, but neither of these comments had to do about the actual roof they install; as far as the new roof is concerned, they did a good job of installing a good-quality roof at a very competitive price.My first complaint had to do with removing the old roof, specifically, they flung hundreds of short, very sharp nails into the lawn and into the shrubs and into the rain gutters. We found well over a hundred nails throughout the landscape and rain gutters. We continued to find nails in the backyard lawn (where our grandkids run barefoot) and amongst the scrubs for months after the work was complete.We also paid them extra to replace about sixty feet of rain gutter. But the rain gutter does not slope downwards towards the ends, so it pools a lot of standing water which, we fear, will become a mosquito breeding ground.I hesitate to criticize them for these two side issues because the most important thing, by far, is that a good quality roof was installed and installed very well by real professionals, at a very competitive price. We are very happy with our “cool roof”, as our house does stay cooler in the summer, and we fully expect the roof to last several decades.
