Just adding my wonderful 5-star (well, 6-star, ha!) experience to the others here.We had a total of 3 re-roofs done on different properties by Six Star Roofing in the last couple years. Two were shingle roofs and one was metal. We also had all of our old gutters replaced.Our experience with Six Star on each job was awesome.Pricing was competitive, advice was honest, communication was clear and direct, and the team always showed up when they said they would. All 3 roofs turned out perfect; weve had no problems since the jobs were completed.Jonathon was always extremely responsive, helpful, and just simply a nice guy. I cant say enough good things about this business. We have already recommended them to friends and will continue to do so. 1000% recommend.

Comment: We recently had Six Star Roofing replace our cedar shake roof with asphalt shingles. We received several quotes and not only was Six Star the best price, but Jonathon was very responsive and communicative. Six Star did a really thorough job of understanding our existing conditions, addressing our concerns and coming up with the best solution for our unique roof situation. The crew was professional, courteous and did quality work. And at the end of the job when we asked them to come back and fix a couple of minor issues, they did so with no questions asked. I highly recommend Jonathon and his crew and would definitely work with them again.

Comment: We got four bids to replace 35-year-old composite shingles on the roof of our 2000 sq ft house. The roof has complex geometry and the siding is difficult to work with. Two of the reviews were thorough and appeared legit. Of those, Six Stars bid was 20% lower than the other. I was impressed with owner Jonathon Rank when he came out to do the bid. He was pleasant, no nonsense, prepared and pointed out all the details. The crew worked efficiently. They were all pleasant to be around. The final product was great. All the valleys and flashing were square and solid. All the shingles lined up beautifully. They dealt with the related carpentry well and charged a reasonable price for it. No surprises on the invoice. Great stuff. Top recommendation.

Comment: During heavy rains just after Christmas, we discovered a BIG leak in our main bathroom around the ceiling fan/light.Jonathan & Jose from Six Star Roofing came out and found the leak and fixed it the next day that it wasnt raining.The price was very reasonable and we havent had a leak since even though it has been pouring for almost two weeks!I have already recommended them to one of my friends with a leaking roof and I highly recommend them to anyone with a roof problem.

Comment: We had the best experience with Jonathon when he came out to assess and repair the leak in our roof! Not only did he fix the repair the first time around, he was on time, professional and let us know when he was coming. Our roof was under warranty from another company who did not show up after 2 appointments. I had found out about Six Star Roofing from someone that knew Jonathon and I called and all is great! Comment: I had a small leak in my living room. The company I had previously used was going to take two weeks for an estimate and then another month to do the work. No good in rainy season. I called Jonathon at Six Star. He did the estimate the next day and the work the following day. Comment: I wrote an SOS to Six Star Roofing late at night after we saw water damage in our ceiling. Owner Jonathan called us the next morning and squeezed us into his busy schedule. He later confirmed and communicated his ETA and showed up on time. He assessed the issue and sealed the likely cause of the water intrusion (all for free)! Comment: Jonathan and George came out today to assess the need for a new roof. They were very professional from making the appointment, to letting me know they were on their way, and I thought they were very thorough in their assessment of my house and garage roofs. Luckily I can wait a couple of years for full replacement. Today they sealed all of the roof nails that were starting to show through and spray painted the roof vents to prevent further rusting. I was glad they pointed out a couple of conditions to watch on the garage roof and made recommendations regarding cleaning the drain pipe there. I will definitely have they come back to replace me roof when it is ready. Thanks guys!

Comment: Six Star is awesome! They come out quickly, and the repair turned out perfect. I’ll be using them for every roofing need in the future.Edit: last post was for the house I sold. Since I know I can trust Jonathan I had him inspect my newly built home. Good thing I did, Jonathan came down with pictures of several defects and missing shingles. I would have had a roof leak on my hands within a few months. I’ll be using him for all repairs and my gutter install.Edit:#2 I keep adding to this post because it seriously is one of the best businesses out here. Comment: Weve had a yearly roof inspection, cleaning, and repairs done by Six-star roofing for a number of years. Its a wonderful service, needed in our mountain home. The place was left tidy and they were quick and thorough. A few weeks later they came by and did an extra little job for us, replacing light covers in a two-story stairwell, I am so thankful that they were willing to take on this very small job, outside of their usual work. Comment: We would highly recommend Six Star Roofing. Both the roof of our house and the detached garage were way past their prime, and needed a substantial amount of repair work. Jonathon gave us a detailed estimate that was competitive. We chose them over other bids because of Jonathon’s level of detail and engagement. He provided a clear and accurate plan, and he worked with us to get the matierials that we wanted. They stuck to their schedule and all of the guys were hard workers. Comment: We mostly worked with Jonathan and he was very professional, friendly and responsive. We got a quote from some other roofing companies as well but they seemed more salesman like and Six Star seemed more honest and trustworthy. They did a great job and got the job done quickly and efficiently. We got our entire roof replaced, half regular asphalt tiles and half torch down roofing. They also replaced our skylight upon our request. Would hire them again and highly recommend their services.

Comment: With the recent storms, we developed a small leak in our living room vaulted ceiling. I called up Six Star Roofing and he came right over. He looked at the ceiling, then went up to the roof to check it out. Nothing too obvious or major, but several of the asphalt shingles had a gap between each other (side-by-side) and one side was able to lift up. He said that he could remove the shingles in that area and put on a new underlayment, but he realized Im a do-it-yourselfer so he gave me another option. Very friendly and no charge. Always impressed with this community. SLV Strong!

Comment: Hiring Jonathon was truly a stroke of luck! Found him online and hired him to clean my roof/gutters in Scotts Valley, he did a fantastic job and didnt stop there. I referred him to a family member, he cleaned their gutters the same day, turned around and brought a ladder to my house to finish off my Christmas lights! Comment: Six Star deserves six stars, but Google only allows me to give them five.Our roofing project is more complicated than most, as we found out when we started talking to roofers. Our roof is very steep and has lots of different angles to it. Really good to look at, but apparently really difficult to roof.Six Star did an excellent, highly professional, and safe job on our roof. All the roofers were roped in the whole time, and our home has survived the atmospheric rivers without any problems.And the pricing was really reasonable.But the best part of Six Star is communication and integrity. On communication, you cant believe how many details there are to decide up front on a project like this. Six Star was clear and expert, with advice where helpful, on all of these options (quality/color of shingles; gutter shapes, sizes and colors, etc). Then, while implementing, we got an update with photos each day. After it was done, they cleaned up everything (roofing is a bit of a dirty business, especially tear off), including any marks in the paint, window sills, etc. Wow!Integrity means they either show up when they say they will, and do what they say they will, or theyre going to tell you about any changes, give you a reason, and work out a new plan until your satisfied. I just loved that.Six Star also put in a skylight and did a fabulous job with placement, securing the affected roof and ceiling areas like Fort Knox. The well is expertly finished and we couldnt be more pleased with the flood of new light into a darkish room.Finally, this is a congenial bunch. Jay and Jonathon are really organized, but also really good people. They were dedicated to making us happy, not just getting the job done and on to the next one. Really made the whole process enjoyable.Id highly recommend Six Star for roofing, gutters, and skylights.

Comment: Jonathan completed work on my townhouse in Scotts Valley. Our HOA covers the roof, but not our skylights, hatches, or FB/Stove pipes. My skylight was cracked and while inspecting my problem he offered to inspect all the unit skylights on my building. He gave us a detailed report with pictures. Seven units needed repairs and he gave a fair bid to do the work, detailing the cost and scope of work for each unit. We signed-on as a group. After he completed the work, a second set of images was given to us with his written guarantee. Two years later, he came out again to do an inspection after the atmospheric river storm and we thought a branch had struck a skylight. Jonathan responded to my call within a week and he scheduled a time to inspect within 3 days. Again, pictures were provided, our skylights were all good, but minor sealing was needed on one hatch. He is courteous, professional, and, very detailed. He really stands behind his work.

Comment: We had 6 Star Roofing out and were VERY impressed with them. Jonathon and his team clearly communicated when they would be arriving and were prompt with their arrival. While on our roof Jonathon took pictures to show us what it looked like up there. Even though it was a simple gutter cleaning Jonathon pointed out a few small areas of our roof that needed quick repair to extend the life of our roof (with photos showing the damage). With the rain coming we feel so much better about our roof and gutters after having 6 Star Roofing up there.We will certainly be using 6 Star for future needs!
