Comment: Highly recommend Semper Solaris! They installed a new heat pump (heat/AC) & entire HVAC system, replaced our roof, and will be installing solar panels and gutters shortly. Such a professionally run company, from the salesperson to the customer service staff to the installation teams. Service and materials are top notch! The process was super well organized from beginning to end - great communication and follow-through, and they did exactly what they said they would do. The charges ended up being exactly what the contract said, except for a couple minor unforeseeable additions discovered after the work started. The installers were all courteous, professional, knowledgeable, and great at what they do. All crews cleaned up at the end of every working day. Even our next-door neighbor says he wishes all companies were this professional. This company goes above and beyond to offer quality products and excellent customer service. Bonus - they offer solar panels that are made in the USA!UPDATE: Solar panels have now been installed, and everything went smoothly. Same great service as from Semper Solariss other departments. They got the system turned on quickly and even expedited the inspection. Very happy!

Comment: So far I’m still uncertain about the cost of the package I got. I spent a decent amount of money and my payment will be more than I’d like to pay for electricity.However, and I understand it, pricing is comparable, if not better, than the same package from any other reputable company.With all of that said…Genevieve Johnson was easy to talk to, down to earth, knowledgeable and candid (much appreciated). She has the type of personality I’d rather have as a friend than a salesperson! She made me feel comfortable with my decision. She also made me feel comfortable with my doubts and questions - where some reps, consultants, sales folks make you feel ignorant or silly for feeling the way you do or asking the things you do. I never felt that way with Genevieve. My every thought seemed to be treated with interest and respect and that is worth a premium in itself.I felt that the installation process itself could have been done more efficiently with regard to time, and there were some items (incidental damage to stucco) that needed to be repaired afterwards which made things drag out further.However, each individual that I dealt with under the Semper Solaris umbrella was courteous and respectful.So far the high point of my experience so far has absolutely been Genevieve, and the low point has been waiting for PTO (which is ludicrous if you ask me).I’m looking forward to never paying another dime to the electric company!

We truly felt that while she believed in her product and company, she had our best interests at heart and was really just providing the education and information we needed to make our decision, without being pushy.Genevieves service was excellent and while she stayed as a helpful resource throughout the process, Semper Solaris is a well-oiled machine that did a good job communicating each step of the way and making sure we knew what was coming next, the timeline expectations, and people to call if we had questions. Comment: For the very first time ever, we had central air installed in our home in March of 2022. At the same time we had our heating ducts replaced and a new energy efficient heating system installed. What a difference!Our house smells so much better with the new ducts, and the system we got is effective and quiet.This was a big step for us, and Genevieve was great. She talked to us about prices, what bells and whistles we needed vs what was a luxury. We have a modest home in Mira Mesa, but she treated us like VIPS.The installation crew was respectful and got their work done in two days. Weve had our system for almost a year and a half, and its amazing, the difference its made in our comfort levels and our energy costs. We love it and would recommend.

The things that took the longest was waiting for city permits, but once those were approved, the installation was fast.Genevieve was the person who came to our home and explained the products and the process to us. She was knowledgeable and could explain the technicals to us in a way we could understand. We threw a lot of questions at her, and she could answer every one.Semper Solaris wasnt the cheapest, nor were they the most expensive. But they were the ones we believed in for quality and value. The team there is great at customer support. We always knew what was going on and what was going to happen next.Dallas was our point of contact for the work being done, and he was very responsive, following up with our questions or with scheduling conflicts in a timely manner.Weve had our panels for 7 months now and we love that our electric bill has flipped from owing to seeing credits on our bill.

Comment: I was initially referred to Genevieve Johnson through my good friend Susan Rodriguez. I obtained 5 solar estimates from different companies. When I spoke with Genevieve I told her what my other offers were in comparison to hers and she completely went over and above to not only match my lowest offer, but was even able to get her offer lower with the same benefits. She is smart and very efficient and explained the process from start to finish to me making it super easy to understand. Comment: The construction supervisor went over the different steps that they would be doing and explained the cautions and types of debris and made it clear that this was a construction zone and be cautious. I also bought tarps for my pool and when the crew saw me starting to cover my pool the stopped me and did it for me. That was awesome.

Comment: My husband and I were in the market for AC and a complete new HVAC system along with solar and our friend recommended Semper Solaris. My husband is the type who does lots of research and asks lots of questions. We met with Genevieve from Semper and she was so great. She answered all of our questions (there were a lot) and was always quick to get back to us. She designed a system that was appropriate for our lifestyle and took the time to discuss future energy use and trends vice just looking at our current usage like most of the other solar companies. Semper gave us a competitive price, but really shined when it came to customer service which is so important with such a big investment. Semper and Genevieve were very communicative and always quick to help us out. They were on time, clean, and professional. All of the installers were true professionals. This is not a fly by night solar company who’s going to disappear after installation. If you are looking for competitive prices and exceptional service, go with Semper.

Comment: I had been considering solar for a long time, but when I got quotes from other companies the math never ended up working out because my electric bill wasnt very high. After a dealing with a couple hot Clairemont summers and a leak in my roof I knew it was time to invest in A/C and a new roof. I reached out to Semper Solaris because I wanted someone that could do it all. Genevieve (my sales rep and primary contact in the project) walked through my options and I was pleasantly surprised the price with including A/C, roof and solar. I knew people that paid about the same amount for just solar.Once I reached out to Genevieve that I wanted to move forward with the project I was sent a bunch of docusigns and the project started in no time. I got A/C installed in about a week and then it took about a month for my roof and solar permits to get approved. I started my project in April and I had A/C new roof and solar well before June. Definitely exceeded my expectations considering I couldnt even get a roofing company to get me a bid for months. I even changed my roof color the day before my roof got installed. I had Genevieve and her team scramble to find the new color and they came through! Im so happy they did, the solar panels blend in with the darker roof color just like I wanted.Now I just cant wait for this may gray to burn off so I can start cranking my A/C for pennies!

Comment: We recommend Semper Solaris because they are veteran friendly and employ mostly veteran associated personnel. They had the right price and explained everything with no pressure to buy. I am a disabled Veteran and my wife is a 24/7 caregiver. The sales person explained in detail so both of us understood the process and the timing involved. Everyone that worked on our installation was timely, informative and like family – the good kind! Our timing was at the end of 2019 where everyone was trying to capture Tax credits. The communication was a bit slow in the beginning but Semper hired a delightful person that quickly eliminated that problem. We liked their placement of the panels showing nothing from the street view. Theft is on the rise in our area. Installing solar is a very complex procedure getting permits from HOA, SDGE and inspections but Semper Solaris emailed with visuals showing us each step and who, what, when, and where they were in the process and making sure it was hooked up to our Wi-Fi. It’s nice to be able to touch my phone app and see how the system is doing and producing. We even got a call from Semper Solaris a month after installation saying there was an issue with a panel and they scheduled another nice person to come and fix the issue at no cost. The company was above and beyond for this veteran and his wife.

Comment: A friend recommended Semper Solaris even though they did not use them. That made me at least see what this company had to offer. I called at least 6 different companies. Semper gave me the best feeling after doing research online and the type of system I wanted. Work was done fast and they took the time to make sure my roofing tile was replaced as they were installing the panels. We financed through Wheelhouse Credit Union with the ability to put the tax credit back into the loan for a lower payment. From start to finish installation took only a few days total. The longest part was after the installation to get the system turned on by SDG&E (about 10 days). Excellent company, attention to detail, If I decide to add more panels later I will use this company again. Highly recommend!

Comment: Got solar from SEMPER SOLARIS and they did a fantastic job!Rhami Hasenin came to my house, listened to what I wanted and gave me a very fair and great price. He handled all of the paperwork right there and assured me if I needed anything he would be there for us and he was. I had no out of pocket expenses and now have a small monthly payment for a system which has greatly increased my home value, with NO monthly electric bill.Billie Yako handled the installation part and she was in touch with me the entire time. We had one small change to make after the install and she handled it and ensured everything was perfect. Billie and the crew made sure the system looks great, no pipes all over my roof and running along the outside walls. Semper Solaris made my system look like professionals did, not some weekend installers. Dont know what I mean look at some of the systems out there. Comment: We received four estimates. One company would not take on our project because it was on a clay tile roof, one company wouldnt work with our picture frame design. But Genevieve with Semper Solaris at down and really took the time to explain everything to me. One thing that stood out to me, and won me over, was that Semper Solaris holds all three licences to be a certified solar installer. I trusted them with our home. Billie, our project manager was really good at keeping us informed. Eric, the installer was very nice and very thorough. Ive already referred Semper Solaris to three of our neighbors. Comment: I was referred to Semper Solaris by a coworker about two years ago. Yes. It took me two years to make my decision as to which company I was going to go with. I explored the ones you see at Costco, Home Depot and Lowe’s; however, there was just something about them that didn’t sit right with me. Being a veteran myself, I try to support veteran owned businesses. I decided to give Semper Solaris a shot at he job.I contacted Genevieve from Semper Solaris and let her know my situation and my concerns. She explained EVERYTHING ( lease vs purchase, true up billing, upgrade options, financing, and any other questions and concerns I had ). Response time from Genevieve was either immediate or within an hour. Now at ease and fully understanding what the process was, we felt comfortable enough to make the leap to solar with Semper Solaris.There was absolutely no pressure for add ons like Tesla wall or other things. I had to send in my past SDG&E bills which conservatively run around $300 to $500 ( pool/electric spa and an air conditioning unit that we rarely run because it is so expensive. They could personalize a system for us. We got 32 (300W) solar panels and an upgraded power panel/circuit breaker box as our place was built in late 60’s.Genevieve, Veronica, Vinny, Billie, and Matthew all worked together to submit city permits, liaison with SDG&E and scheduling installation and inspections.I don’t know the names of the installers, but they were punctual, clean, profession, courteous and answered all my questions in layman’s terms. It took them about a day and a half to put up the panels and another 6 hours to upgrade my circuit panel.For us, from the time we agreed to put in solar to the time we were fully up and running was about one month.Billie and Genevieve were exceptional helpful with sending me follow up emails to make sure everything was working well and they also walked me through the Solar Edge app which lets you see how much power you are generating. I have been running my air conditioning at 70° this entire billing cycle, cranked the spa to 104° and running the pool pump about 7 hours a day just to see what the bill would be. Ended up being $42.17. WOW !!!I had heard so many horror stories from friend about other solar companies and now I just tell them they should have gone with Semper Solaris 🇺🇸. Top Notch company. Dexter (operations) and Billie (project manager) were awesome and kept us informed almost daily on the status of our project or any questions we had. Our electrical panel upgrade and solar installation were done quickly and efficiently (about half a day each). Billie and Lucia followed up afterwards to make sure we were satisfied with the product, app and service and to make sure we had everything we needed for our tax credit. Comment: Very satisfied customer. A great experience start to finish. Everyone we dealt with was responsive, straight forward and knew their business well. The made clear the options, process, timing and any potential variability. They know all the cities in the area and which are faster or slower for permits and inspections. We had one change order but they told me of the possibility upfront due to the size of our panel.Mark Ivory, the salesman was honest, efficient and open. He gave clear options and did not try to upsell.Billie Yako, our Installation Coordinator, usually responded to email inquiries within minutes and kept us in tune with every step of the process.Eriel (sp?) and Junior were two of the 6-8 person site crew that i interacted with and both were awesome. I was picky about the cable routing, but they were way ahead of me and had already figured out how to run everything in the most aesthetically neat manner. They color matched the paint on the cable pipes to the stucco and trim. As with any tile roof installation, some tiles were broken (it can’t be helped) and they (without asking) replaced the broken tiles and hid the new tiles (that stand out color wise) in an area of the roof not easily seen. They lined up the panels with a great deal of care and precision. ie they did things the ‘right’ way.I’ve recommended them to 3 friends already. Very happy we did it and love looking at how much power my panels are generating!

Comment: Our family had debated solar for some time. My wife and I received quotes from 3 solar companies with Semper Solaris being the last company. They all basically said almost the same thing and prices varied on brands and quantities of panels. Our sales rep, Mark Ivory, was very knowledgeable of the entire process, easy to speak with and honest about the number of panels we needed. The 2 prior companies had provided us quotes on panels that were not as good as expected which drove us to the ultimately purchasing them from Semper Solaris. I especially liked the idea I would be getting the top of the line Panasonic Panels (USA made) and that Semper Solaris was a premier installer of Panasonic Panels.The entire process from signing of the contract to receiving Permission to Operate (PTO), 10 weeks, was exceptional. The Installation Coordinator, foreman, and crew were professional, timely, and the installation was impeccable and completed in one-day. Everything was neat, perfectly installed with no items broken, and everything was cleaned up. Billie Yako kept us informed during every step of the proceed.On October 30, 2018 we received the OK to turn on our system from SDGE. Since then, we have been contacted several times to follow up on my experience to see if I needed any assistance in monitoring our system. They walked us through the SolarEdge monitoring app so that we can monitor and understand our own system. We have nothing but great things to say about Semper Solaris.As a retired 30-year Navy Veteran, Im thankful and grateful that a veteran owned company employs other veterans as myself and are doing exceptional work. Comment: There was some miscommunication between the project manager and the installation crew which could have resulted in the exact opposite installation of what I had asked, but once I contacted our project manager, it was quickly sorted. As with any household project its important to be plugged into the process as much as possible to prevent that. Install is beautiful and exactly what I wanted. Im enjoying my SDG&E bill for the first time in decades!

Comment: Semper Solaris makes a genuine effort to install your solar system the way you want it, provided you are proactive in communicating your preferences at each stage of the process. I would give 5 stars except that my project was delayed two months due to the battery storage system being back-ordered by the manufacturer (Tesla). Now that its installed, it works great and we only need to rely on the grid when theres a string of cloudy days or if we use our electric vehicle more than usual.

Comment: Yes, Semper Solaris is as GOOD as it gets! We had been considering solar for quite some time and had, had presentations by at least 3 or 4 other companies. Earlier this year, a good friend of ours introduced us to Semper Solaris as their company for the system they have had for over a year and they couldnt recommend them more highly.We contacted their salesperson Hayden Nix and he was the most knowledgeable of any that we had seen or spoken to. He took time to make sure all my questions were answered and went out of his way to help me understand why an American made Sunpower system while not the least expensive is the best for quality, reliability and return on investment.Like any large scale project we had a few bumps along the way, however everyone at Semper we dealt with was excellent, (true 5 star service) and their goal was to make sure we were happy in all aspects of the project from start to completion. They went out of their way going above and beyond to take care of everything to our complete satisfaction and make those bumps however slight they were disappear. The care and professionalism they exhibited was beyond what I could hope to have expected. Their quality of their installation is amazing. I have many neighbors who have solar and not a one of them looks as good as my installed system from the layout of pipes to the solar and electrical panels to stucco and paint repair they simply did a beautiful job from rip up to clean up they are superb. Special mention and thanks to Veronica, Kim, Russell, George, Alex and Patrick. Semper is very fortunate to have these people on their team!If your even only just starting to think about going solar, dont go any farther without putting this veteran owned and America 1st company and their pride and care for what they do up for your consideration, I simply cannot recommend them more highly!
