Comment: Our home now has solar thanks to Semper Solaris.My mom had solar put on by Semper a little while back and it had been recommended by a friend who used them as well. Paul Rampoldi was her go to for everything. We met Paul about 1 year prior but were not ready to make the purchase. When we were finally able to get the process started the April 2023 change in NEM was only weeks to days away. We called Semper and asked specifically for Paul to be the person we would work with. He was super helpful in explaining what we would need for our home based on what we currently use and then we added a few more panels just to be safe (in case we even decide it time to add a Tesla or just have an increase in usage).We began at the end of March and had the paperwork signed and ready to go. We beat the NEM change...barely made it. The process of install took a but longer than we had hoped as we were thinking about 4-5 months based on the time quote, but this was in part due to the mad rush for Solar in March/April, and the fact that we had to upgrade our panel, which required approval from SDG&E, who took a while. Once SDG&E actually approved, the rest of the process, was completed in 3-4 weeks. This includes panel install, connect and touch ups during the span of 3 days 1 week, panels installed the following week, and SDG&E final inspection of solar/electrical equipment. This was all completed 10/4. We just recieved our 1st SDG&E bill yesterday. We were not expecting any changes until next month, but our bill already came down from almost $400, to $101 (with only a few day on the house). Looks good for next month and cant wait until it pays itself off years from now.Thanks Semper & Paul...and of course mom form helping is to get the ball rolling 😉.

Comment: We’ve had our solar installed for over a year now and our true-up bill was only $200. That’s a major difference from the $3000 a year we were spending. Comment: Semper installed my solar system, which included the panels and a new, upgraded power panel. I also used them to re-roof under the solar panels, as this was necessary because of the age and condition of my roof.They were less expensive than the other bid I obtained, and were recommended by a neighbor. They used good quality panels and inverters. Char, my sales representative, was friendly, knowledgeable and super responsive even though I bothered her all the time with questions.The roofer Semper sub-contracted with also did an excellent job and was very professional.My only complaint is I was disappointed with the amount of time it took from the date the contract was signed to the completion date. This delay was apparently the result of a multi-month lag time to get the power panel upgrade approved by SDG&E. Once I started calling SDG&E this issue was resolved in two weeks. Im not sure if this delay could have been resolved earlier if Semper had been more proactive in communicating with SDG&E. This is the only reason I did not give them 5 stars.All in all, Semper is a great choice and I recommend them for your solar panel system!

The only issue I had was the delay caused by the city inspection. The final panel layout did not match the plans and this was not verified by the inspection team prior to the city inspection. He was polite and really friendly, but most of them are. Once we sat down I was waiting for the normal techniques. But Michael was different, he was talking with us. He was genuinely curious on our needs. My mom and I learned alot about solar and all the different parts to it. He definitely won us over with his respectful nature. I was very relieved and like my mom glad we signed up. I would recommend calling Semper Solaris to anyone, especially Michael. Comment: Char Toledo at Semper Solaris was great! She was informative, professional, and most of all patient with ALL my questions. Going solar was a big deal for me. I have have two electric vehicles and two electric bikes. Char explained the pros and cons of what I was getting into. I initially wanted two Tesla batteries and 40 solar panels, but she worked out all the numbers so it made sense with my goals. I ended up with the perfect set up with 1 Tesla battery and 24 solar panels situated in certain parts of my roof. I had no idea how important the angles and positioning of the panels played in maximizing the output. I was also picky on how the panels looked on my roof as well. I am extremely happy with the final result and the output almost exactly matches my family’s daily needs. Char saved me money by just listening, providing strategic input and not overselling me. David is the last person I called as I was in the process making decision on the other solar vendors I have reviewed. We live in the Julian area which sometimes limits our options for contractors, and we were thrilled to have had them take on our project in the backcountry. Comment: We previously tried to work with 2 other solar and roofing companies that came knocking on our door to replace our roof and install 10 panels for us. Unfortunately, they both tried the ol’ bait n switch scheme to mark up the price on their initial quote, essentially breaking their own contract. Rather than waste time in court (and shotty workmanship to make up for the profit they’d lose), we cut ties and decided to give Semper Solaris a try. They sent out Char Toledo to meet with us and were so happy they did. She carefully listened to our needs and coordinated everything from start to finish. When we came across questions, Char immediately answered them or got on the phone with PMs or other members of her team to ensure we were taken care of! Additionally, our project was completed just in time before the epic rainfall we saw this past wet season in San Diego (2023) — and we’re happy to report their quality work passed with flying colors, as there were no leaks at all from the storms and our panels are producing energy flawlessly. Comment: We had sat down with several Solar installers/sales people and I must say, our experience with Semper Solaris was on a different level. David Kaul (cant recommend him enough), was honest, straight forward with facts and figures, and gave accurate estimates for the total cost AND the timeline. He took our EV purchase and mileage into account as well as projected AC usage in the future. There was never any sales pressure like we experienced with the other companies including some door to door folks. I think what my wife and I enjoyed the most was the constant updates and communication from Semper. We were never left out of the loop, and the company finished way ahead of the standard timeline. Once the permits were approved, which happened way faster than we thought, Semper called me and said they have a crew ready for the next day. They came and fully stalled in 5hrs with the system up and running and connected, as well as inspection passed within 24hrs. This is NOT the experience we heard from other friends and family who used other companies. Do yourself a favor and go with Semper Solaris. Absolutely no headache or worries.

Comment: When I made the switch to Solar, I went with Semper Solaris. It was well worth the investment. Then I found out that they sell HVAC units. I was in need of a new one because it was time, or so I thought. Since Mark Ivory was the one who sold me my solar panels, I decided to reach out to him once again. He took a look at my HVAC unit and assessed that I did not need a new one. Instead, he suggested that I relocate my thermostat. So I did just that and went with an upgrade to Google nest. Had I been hell bent on buying a new HVAC unit, I have no doubt that Mark would have cheerfully and hilariously made it happen. Additionally, because he has previously earned my trust, he could have told me that I needed a new HVAC unit when I didn’t need one and I would have taken him at his word. As it is, he gave me the scoop in layman’s terms and I was able to not waste thousands of dollars on something that only required a simple solution. I will eventually be needing a new HVAC unit, just not in the next few years. You can be sure when the time comes, I will be making the purchase from Semper Solaris. Comment: This company is pretty competitive in the solar market and their customer service is good for the most part. The sales guy sort of goes hands off after you sign the contract, but if you message them, they will answer. My project was solar panels along with main panel upgrade. They do use subcontractors but you can have the option to not use subcontractors. I didnt do that and there were a few issues. All of them were resolved quickly by their contractors so their response was good. Because of this, i recommend you request to use only their employees. Everytime I come in contact with their employees, they were very respectful, wore mask, and communicative of their work.So there are some key things their subcontractors messed up one. The electricians for the main panel upgrade did a poor job. Got it done but poor quality. They managed to cut into my interior wall from the exterior. Luckily, no one inside or anything of value was against that wall. They didnt put back my rain gutter and the conduit for the main line on the roof was not weather proofed. they just spackled tar around the base plate and hole. I took pictures and showed Semper and it was taken care of within a week. They placed new shingles around and it was quality.The solar installation was done well and i had no issues with their quality of work and that was a sub contractor as well. The only gripe I had was the lady from that company. She was debating what is passable with the city inspector AS I WAS WALKING WITH THEM. The inspector dinged her for a rivet that secured a badge onto the front of the main panel. He passed it because it was small but expected her to come back and apply silicone over the rivet. Semper corrected it.Essentially if I asked for no subcontractors, I might of had a better experience. I gave them 4 stars because Semper fixed the issues that their subcontractors messed up on. Their response was quick and of quality. The solar installation was pretty fluid and deadlines were met besides the issues along the way. At the end if the electrician didnt mess up and the solar installers liason actually took in the inspectors markings and siliconed that rivet. I would gave them 5 stars.

Flipe Piche Jr. came out and diagnosed the system. Determined that there was a valve that needed to be replaced. He ordered it and installed it when it came in. He also noticed that the duct leading to one of the guest rooms needed a damper to reduce the amount of air circulation. He did not have that part on his truck but promised to come back with it. After substantial homework considering the options, and then severely testing the patience of Semper Solaris super sales representative, Paul Rampoldi, with endless questions, we signed a contract to purchase on 7-7-2020. Paul clearly explained, in writing and pictures, what the schedule would entail. Considering all the very unusual circumstances of Covid 19 virus, extreme state-wide temperatures and fire-fighting, plus support team family disruptions regarding school starts, etc., we expected substantial delays.Instead, our initial and very thorough site inspection, including roof and solar panel checks, was very professionally conducted by Alberto Quintero on 7-22-2020. Following all design processes and pre-approval, material acquisition and scheduling, actual installation was conducted on 8-21/24-2020 by Val Valdez and Eliseo Morales. Paul Rampoldi, the project sales representative, even went to the trouble to stop by to observe the installation action. The installation team could not have been more professional. Almost surgical in their approach, everything was clean, orderly, well-coordinated between the two and completed with precision. Not one dropped screw or piece of any scrap was left. Their work was immaculate and they kept me completely informed throughout.Post-installation and pre-inspection preparation was so well conducted by Aria Moeini that the successful city inspection was completed in minutes on 8-25-2020! Semper Solaris requested “permission to operate” from SDG&E and it was granted on 8-26-2020. It was a very smooth, orderly flow of events!The positive pattern continued on 9-09-20 when our UV unit was scheduled to be installed. Felipe Piche and Steven Steward called to confirm one hour prior to scheduled arrival time. They arrived exactly on time, described their plan, and completed the installation in less than an hour. Throughout, they were neat, clean, courteous, and exceptionally well-spoken in describing their work and operating procedures for the equipment. The worksite was left neat and clean!In my former profession as a management consultant and trainer, I worked very closely with every function and paygrade within hundreds of trade contractors in several states. I’ve never seen one more impressive than Semper Solaris has been in this endeavor! EVERY company representative has been on time, pleasant, courteous, well-spoken, very clear as to their intent and in their follow-up, and well-focused. EVERY person has pre-announced what I could expect, performed their function, then ensured that I saw and understood what had been achieved. Every step was prefaced by a call from the office confirming what and when each event was to occur, who would arrive and that they would call before arriving. There have been no surprises and every event has gone exactly as advertised. Chris, the battery guru in the office, has been super helpful in helping me with detailed battery questions. Comment: I was convinced that all solar companies were out for my money and the state tax credit, with no concern for my needs! I knew Semper Solaris supported Veterans and invited them to give me a quote. Wow, not what I expected! Dave gave me an education on the whole process and convinced me that outright sale was the way to go! He sized my system based on my average use and gave me a couple of discounts as well. He set up my system to be financed thru Wheelhouse credit union. Every detail was arranged, and all documents were electronically signed, in just a few days.They drew up the plans, submitted for permit, and came out to do the install in just 2 weeks. Austin and a team of installers were such a joy to have crawling all over my house! I asked that ugly exterior pipes be avoided, and they did! Not one pipe is visible on the outside of my home. I am so pleased with the outcome! I know they worked hard as they finished 3 pizza’s and a case of cold bottled water! Comment: My experience with this company was amazing!! Starting with Jim, Nat, Sarine and Rebecca... I had a problem with the electric panel after and they were on top of it, it was fixed right away. The technician, Nat, was very nice and super helpful was able to fix the problems within minutes. Sarine, Nat’s boss was super friendly and authorized Nat to fix the problem for free... I figured if I needed an entire new roof I may as well put solar on it at the same time.I am so happy that I went with Semper Solaris for my total roof replacement, seamless rain gutter system and solar application.Semper Solaris designed the perfect size system tailored specifically for my needs. Its just the right size for my family. Also, the roof repair went seamlessly. The crew worked diligently and cleaned up very well after themselves which was a concern of mine because I have small children that run around outside.During the entire installation process from the roof repair to the day I turned on my solar system, Cesar Arenas (Project manager) did a fabulous job communicating with me and letting me know the status of the work.My home looks more beautiful than ever with the new seamless rain gutters. And you cant even see the solar panels because they are so low-profile and sleek. She met with me to go over all the details, helped secure excellent financing through local credit union, and was there every step of the way. The on-site crew were some tough looking pipe-hitters. But they were respectful, courteous, and efficient. My install was 40+ panels and they were done in about 48 hours! I was impressed. If you’re looking for solar, stop your research and just hire these folks. They are veteran-owned and run a tight operation. They are consummate professionals. Highly recommend.

Comment: Great decision to move forward with a great company to install our new roof and solar panels.We inquired about Solar some three years ago and contacted Semper Solaris. They sent Energy Consultant David B. out. David was informative, patient and honest. While we didnt commit to solar on that visit because our roof was 27 years old and resources for a roof available at the time we postponed.2019 rolled around and resources became available, so another call to Semper Solaris. We had two bids for a new roof prior to the pleasure of seeing David B. again, some three years later. David laid everything out explained options and financing.We decided to have Semper Solaris do both our roof and solar. Their roofing bid was inline with others and I believe in the end was less then the other two quality roofers. Sean O. was our Roofing Project manager and got the job done fast and efficiently, beating the rain. With a reroof there will always be change orders when the existing roof is removed. Our extra work was way less than I feared. This is due to not being taken advantage of cost over-runs. The roofers were all conscientious and thoroughly cleaned up after each work day.Within a day or two I get a call from Billie Y., the Solar Project Manager assigned to our job. Billie called to schedule our Solar Panel installation. Being retired I was ready to start any time. Billie said how about tomorrow! Our system was installed in two days. A simple 13 panel system in one location made it go fast. Then about 7-10 days after waiting for SDG&E to do their thing we were making power and being better Stewards of nature! Billie kept on top of things with updates.One minor issue arose which, with the stellar help of Jontai G. was resolved. Jontai is a textbook Customer Support Professional. She kept me updated as progress on the resolution and even called when there wasnt any news to report. A call simply assuring me she was on it and hadnt forgotten.To say the least, everyone I had contact with adds value to Semper Solariss mission. Do I recommend Semper Solaris? Indeed I do!George R.

Over 100 so called solar companies in San Diego County I selected Semper Solaris because they Walk the Walk while others talk. I can tell my customers a build time and it will happen. What is most important in the industry is pay your bills so you can get the materials to build your next job. Thats what John and Kelly do,The other thing I like is I can tell my customers to drop by any time and ask to see an owner. Comment: I recently had a solar system installed at my house by Semper Solaris. The team I worked with included, among others, David Bell, who did the initial consult, Mark Kravchak, the project manager, and Mike, the on-site manager. Everyone I dealt with was polite and knowledgeable. In particular, in the first meeting, I did not get any hard-sells, special one day only deals, or any of the other non-sense that I have run into with other solar companies. David was ready to answer my technical questions and provided me all the information I needed to make a decision. Come install day, I requested a change to my install plan, which was accommodated without issue even though it required a plan change at the city. Since then, my solar system has been approved and activated, and its performing better than expected.I want to particularly point out a few instances in which Sempers service really impressed me. First, the install was ridiculously well-orchestrated and quick. 14 panels up on my roof in half a day. Second, they made the effort to paint all of the solar conduit so it blends nicely into the house. I thought that was a nice, professional touch. Third, I found one of the installers actually touching up another pipe from an unrelated system with paint, which your truly had poorly painted. Thats a sign of a company that cares about quality and going above and beyond for a customer. Fourth and finally, I had several technical questions throughout that were addressed thoughtfully even though they were not really required for the team to get the job done. I was really, very impressed.Thanks for an excellent job done, Semper Solaris. I look forward to recommending you to my friends.

Comment: I had retained Semper Solaris as the general contractor for my home roofing and solar projects. The roofing project had been completed to my great satisfaction as listed in my previous review. The solar project was fully completed a couple of weeks ago. And true to form the solar project was also completed to my great satisfaction.Semper Solaris was able to fast track both my solar project city permit and SDG&E net-metering permission. The solar project was completed much sooner than I had originally expected. The project team led by Billie Yako was punctual, efficient and meticulous and kept me informed every step through the whole project. Billie went out of her way to turn on my solar system production without delay once SDG&E gave its permission while our family was on vacation in Europe. I really appreciate that effort and I’ll definitely recommend Semper Solaris to anyone interested in going solar.

Comment: A year ago, my wife and I contracted with Semper Solaris to install a solar panel system on our house. From start to finish, the company did a great job.This year we wanted to add a battery unit to our system. Again we contracted with Semper Solaris.Everything was going fine. The plans were drawn up and approved by the city. The battery and new inverter were installed. Upon inspection, the city inspector determined the location of the battery was not appropriate in deference to the approved plans.At that point, Mike Vassoler, Assistant Construction Manager, reached out to me. He worked with me on the new location specifications. Mike walked me through the projects next steps. After the unit was installed, he dedicated himself to getting the battery approved by SDG&E, getting it online and configured in a manner that allowed me to understand how it was operating. I really appreciate the fact that Mike worked over a weekend rather than wait until Monday to configure the system. Thank you, Mike Vassoler.Finally, I am still learning how the new unit works but I feel confident Mike will still be available to answer my questions.

Comment: My inverter stopped working. I did all the troubleshooting to bring it back online, but it still did not work. Called Solar Edge the inverter company and they looked at my system and said I needed a new inverter. About 4 weeks passed (the inverter was intermittent) so I had solar power some days and not others. Getting a the new replacement inverter had stalled.This is when April Wozniak got involved with my issue and within a few days I got a call telling me that Semper Solaris had received the replacement inverter from Solar Edge and April had scheduled a service call with Tony (an exceptionally knowledgeable technician on solar systems - I knew I was in good hands) who was 10 minutes early to start the service call.The old inverter was replaced and the new one was operational thanks to the professional service from April and Tony. Job well done.

Comment: Wow!!! I had eight bids and Semper Solaris got my business (fyi, I had to replace my roof too). I rated price, quality of panels and sales tactics. Semper Solaris had the best pricing on a 4.6 KW system, the Panisonic panels are made in Buffalo, NY and Mike Winklepleck was honest and never pressured me in buying from them. I did six months of research on what I needed using resources such as Energy Sage and other tools. Without a doubt I would recommend any of my friends and family to give Mike W. a call. My neighbor had the same experience and just got his panels up and running.As for my experience from the company. Every person from the roofing crew, the panel crew and office team was exceptional. Some may say that I am bias because I work for them. Im lucky to work for a company who really cares about their employees and their customers. Their pricing is the best value for what you get.It was great to be on the customer end of things to see how my clients feel. Comment: We had a fellow church member who referred us to Semper Solaris. They had a great price and a no pressure consultation compared to other companies. I wanted to make sure that I was getting the best price for my dollar, and Rhami worked with me on that. He was patient during the process. I am a Navy veteran, and once I shared that with Rhami, he let me know that Semper Solaris offers a $500 discount for veterans.I like that they were able to put all ten panels on the back of the house, out of eyesight of the street. They are on the west side of the roof and Semper Solaris was able to arrange them to optimize production. They worked with me to get the pipes and the conduit to match the house. There was a bit of an issue with the original paint being a bit messy, but I called Semper Solaris customer service and they had someone come out to take care of it quickly. My favorite part of the install was that they were able to place the inverter inside of the garage, tucked away and out of sight. They installed my system in less than a day. Ive been able to easily reach team members for customer service, monitoring setup and questions, and a walk through to further understand my system and monitoring.I would recommend Semper Solaris to anyone thinking about going solar.

Comment: We had a great experience working with Semper Solaris!! Genevieve was great to work with. We were referred to her by our co-worker. Is was friendly and answered all of questions through the process, she really knows her stuff. Most on home sales presentations are high pressure and this wasn’t like this at all. Love that they are military owned and operated since almost all the men in our family are military.Love the way they installed my families system. I’ve seen a lot of other panels sitting really high off the roof where ours look super sleek! The project moved faster than expected. We were installed and turned on within 8 days!!! The guys were super friendly who installed the system and cleaned up after they were done.We’ve already referred our neighbors who signed a contract last week!

Comment: First of all, I am glad I decided to go Solar and extremely pleased to have chosen Semper Solaris for the project. Semper Solaris made the process easy and working with their installers was a snap. The Semper Solaris team was on top of the project from day one and the installers were extremely professional. From system delivery, installation, powering up the system and setting up the monitoring, the Semper Solaris team ensured that I knew what to expect. From contract signing to system powering the whole process took less them two months. The system is amazing and my SDG&E bills have been reduced to zero even with my thirsty Electric Vehicle. Comment: Initially I contracted to have SolarWorld panels installed. Subsequently, after greater research, I declined to proceed with contract because the SolarWorld panels (17.3%) were much less efficient that SunPower (22.2%), Panasonic (19.7%), or LG panels (21.1%). Knowing that Semper Solaris only installed American-made panels, and had ceased doing business with SunPower, my only option was American-made Panasonic panels (VBHN330SA17). Semper Solaris does not install LG panels because they were not made in the United States, which disappointed me.Three months after the initial contract, I finalized a new contract including Panasonic panels for a slightly higher price. Kudos to Annie Shalita, for her patience in ensuring that all my concerns were addressed in the new contract, such as final payment upon SDG&E PTO, positioning the panels to maximize exposure to the sun, and out of view of the street.Thanks to Annie Shalita, my concerns regarding the second set of plans were addressed, such as a change in the manufacturer of the inverter (Enphase vs SolarEdge) and positioning of a ladder in view of the street.After a considerable delay for the city to approve the plans, the installation process was very smooth. Another big kudos to Billie Yako for coordinating the installation, inspection by the city of Encinitas, and permission to operate by SDG&E, arranging for personal instruction of the computer monitoring system Enlighten by Enphase, and patiently answering my many questions. Kudos also to Courtney Day for the home visit and to Tony in the office for answering my technically-related questions.During Courtneys visit, I realized there was no consumption monitoring feature in my Enlighten account, which was not brought to my attention previously. The consumption portion of the monitoring system is important to me and I have requested Courtney and Tony to investigate whether this feature is compatible with my electrical panel and it can be added. I will update my review after receiving word from Semper Solaris.

Comment: As a tech nerd, I researched for months before deciding on using Semper Solaris to install our solar panels. We had several friends use various companies, some big, some small and I observed their installs and what worked and what didnt before deciding on Semper Solaris.Technology: I wanted SunPower panels because they are the most efficient panels available and my wife did not want a roof full of solar panels. With only 13 panels, we generate enough electricity to meet our demands 99% of the time.Install: Semper Solaris came out and did the install in 1 day. They laid out everything and bent the conduit to make the roof line and hide as much as possible under the panels. They painted the conduit to match the exterior of the home which was a very nice touch. They took the time to clean up the yard and make sure nothing was left for kids or pets to find. I also like the fact that Semper Solaris also does roofing so in 30 years or so I will have full confidence to have them come out and re shingle our house.Permits: The permit process was incredibly painless. From contract to install was 3 weeks, and install to inspection was only 1 week. SDGE came through a week and a half later and we were generating electricity in under 3 months total. Sometimes the County or SDG&E can take longer than expected to issue permits and it isnt always something a company can control. However, the fact our install and permits happened flawlessly in mid-December was very impressive.Sales and staff: Everyone at Semper Solaris was quick to respond, helpful, and professional. We never felt pressured to buy more solar panels or upgrade our electrical panel (optional). David Bell worked on our initial quote a year before we signed the contract and still remembered who we were and what we wanted a year later.Longevity: Weve had our solar panels for over a year now. Our power generation outpaced our consumption for the year. We did not owe SDG&E any money at our true up date. Our neighbors compliment the install of our panels, and the fact that you do not see them from the front. So many other houses in our neighborhood have panels covering every side of their roof and conduit running over the peak, and our house maintains its curb appeal while generating more than enough electricity.

My husband and I have peace of mind going into retirement knowing we have taken control of our energy expense. Comment: My recent business with Semper Solaris has been Outstanding. Due to the recent rainy season, my roof was damaged and leaking. I had five quotes with other vendors for solar and 3 quotes for the roof. I decided to go with Semper Solaris because they had the best price for both solar and roof as a combo. They also were veteran owned and had a good rating on Yelp and Google. I had to do research on the type of panels and invertors just to make sure that they had a quality product. Others countered and still could not beat the price. To start, my Consultant was Roland O. He informed me on the process, how long it would take, and the cost. I was given a military/veteran discount. Next, was Field Supervisor Cesar A. He walked me through the re-roofing project. That part of the project took about 2 weeks for the entire roof. Once complete, then the solar portion took place. Billie Yako, Senior Installation Coordinator, held my hand through the process, making sure everything was correct and on schedule. If I had any questions, then she would call, text, or email within 24 hours. The solar project portion took less than a week. SDG&E and the city inspection passed in less than a week later. Billie followed up making sure everything went smooth and insured that I was able to monitor my system online or on my smart phone. The entire project was done during the rainy season and was completed under 1 month from start to finish. I would highly recommend Semper Solaris.

Comment: A family member did a lot of research and came up with Semper Solaris as an excellent, trusted company. His project went flawlessly some months ago so I took the leap. From initial sales presentation, everything was made very clear. Project manager Billie Yako was so very available and answered our few questions during the very quick process. In a matter of a few weeks from initial contact SDG&E worked most efficiently with Semper to do their part and yesterday the very professional and efficient installation crew finished. 8:00 AM-3:00 PM and all 24 panels were up. And the next day (today) the Santee building inspector met with the foreman and signed it all off. Within the next two weeks SDG&E will do their last bit and well be up and running. VERY HIGHLY recommend Semper Solaris.

I could tell that this was a USMC run organization, and most of the installers on my property were well trained vets. Comment: When you work for a local financing company you are exposed to a totally different side of contractors, the good and the bad. One of the things I am most impressed by in the Solar industry is when I do not see internal compliance cases against a contractor that offers our financing option. Most reputable contractors may have a few however I do not remember seeing any compliance cases with this company.As a veteran I sincerely appreciate their commitment to the veteran community. Comment: I have a Semper Solar system on our home, now for a couple of years. I have to say I have had the best experience. I worked with Mark Ivory on the purchase of a 24 panel system for our home. Mark was timely and very professional. He explained the system clearly to us, and had us understand the benefits of solar. I am in real estate and I can see the purchase of a system adding HUGE value to the value of the home. The company back their products with a great warranty and it is a US based long standing company. I was also amazed that one time, I arrived home and there was a guy on our roof, cleaning the panels, since they were monitoring our system and found out that the production was low. Someone automatically came out to rectify the problem and cleared a few leaves from the panels. Mark was quick to follow up when we needed to change to net metering. The system was installed really quickly and the new monitoring was set up and runs fantastically. Thank you Semper Solaris and Mark Ivory!!

Additionally, the basis for choosing the right contractor weighs heavily upon the initial interaction and history of the company. I look for a company that will provide the most cost-effective and timely completion of a project. I also institute these principles when looking for contractors whom will service me on a personal level. I can sincerely say that service from Semper Solaris, from the initial point of contact with my sales person, Roland Obana and the project manager, Mark Kravchak, was superb. Their customer service was outstanding and the quality of work very professional. Prior to making my decision to contract with Semper Solaris, I met with four other solar companies. All of these encounters were exhausting and, frankly in some cases, a dishonest experience. Semper Solaris was upfront on all costs from the beginning. They constantly updated me so I would be apprised all of the details and what to expect during the process. I would recommend them to anyone whom is considering solar. I believe they deserve more than a 5-star rating!

Comment: My husband and I decided after numerous exorbitant SDG&E bills, to go solar. However, we also needed a new roof. Ideally, finding a company that did both was preferred but we were open to going with two separate companies. Our goal was to have a quality solar panel system, roof and warranty. We ultimately received estimates from four, top rated companies. Two of them were strictly solar and the other two did both solar and roof. One of the four, was Semper Solaris.Fortunate for us, Semper Solaris sent their sales rep, Chase Calkins. We were impressed from moment he walked thru the door. He was punctual, polite, sincere, conscientious, patient and personable. The more time we spent with him, his work ethic, integrity and honesty was apparent. Not once did we feel he was reciting from some sales script, rushed or pressure of any kind. His wealth of knowledge about the solar product was far superior. He explained everything thoroughly and answered every single question. He proficiently computated how much kWh’s we needed, cost and loan options at the appointment. Although Semper’s solar system and roof wasn’t the cheapest price, we recognized neither was its quality and depth of their warranty. We felt it was the best value overall. The decision to go with Semper Solaris was an easy one. Even after the sale, Chase checked in with us periodically to make sure we were kept apprised of the progress.Roof and solar installment went smoothly. The foremen, leads and installers were knowledgeable, friendly and polite. They were excellent in cleaning up the job site every day they were here. We wanted sun power panels but figured it was out of our budget. Before we made the final decision we researched companies that installed some power panels and really liked Semper Solaris.Genevieve Johnson came out very quickly and explained in detail the difference in panels. She’s very knowledgeable in the area and answered all of our questions. She was easy to talk to and after finding out sun power panels with Semper Solaris would cost us a few dollars less and be more efficient than the other panels / companies it was a no brainer for us.The company moved quickly, the workman were at my house early and were very efficient. Sempers combination of professionalism, top quality products, fully licensed staff, and ability to meet our price point won them our business.Getting solar installed on your house is a long process with multiple steps to complete; however, the entire time Sempers staff kept us informed of what was going on and what was going to happen next. Our system has been up and running for about a month and we have had no issues with the system thus far. If you are looking to have a premium solar system installed on your house by a profession organization, then I recommend you give Semper Solaris on opportunity to win your business.

Comment: This review is based on our in-home consultation with Rhami.Dealing with Rhami has been a pleasure so far! He was punctual and well dressed when he arrived at our home. A very friendly guy (even our dog took a liking to him ... sorry for the slober on your shoes haha).Just FYI - we spent time talking to MANY different solar panel providers and contractors and boiled it down to only two solar panel manufacturers and a handful of contractors. Of those we felt that SunPower were the most efficient panels and provided the most value for money.That allowed us to down select only two contractors - one of which was Semper Solaris (note there are many contractors who can offer you these panels, but we focused on those with a high amount of solid reviews!).Rhami was very knowledgeable on both the products as well as their company and competitors. This put them far above the rest of the competition. He was easy to talk to, explained certain concepts and procedures very well - and most importantly, made us feel comfortable with the options.I did a LOT of research prior to speaking with all the contractors and I could tell (even based of the solar panel spec sheets) that the information I was receiving was accurate enough.Rhami did well to give us the best price he could, and went above and beyond to really showcase why they are different from the competition. Our big decision was not based upon price alone, but also licenses (that were verified by the CSLB). They have the B, C10, C39 and C46 which gave us a lot of comfort that 1. they knew what they are doing and certified to do so and 2. we would be protected in the event things go sideways (versus un-licensed contractors).We ended up going with the newer SunPower 360 AC panels and are in the process of putting in a 6.12kW system (we leaned towards these panels because they also have the micro-inverters and were the most efficient panels at the time of research).I will update this review later once the installation is complete and our panels are soaking up the sun!Thanks Rhami and Semper Solaris! Comment: From start to finish we were extremely pleased with our project.Laura Poirier is very knowledgeable and explained all the details of the product and the processes of getting or solar system installed.She sold us on the product and the installation as we were considering a do it yourself install.Trevor Decker as the Project Manager kept us informed of each phase of the installation and inspection process.Installed on a Saturday by a great group of veterans, inspection bought off the following Tuesday and Permission to Operate from SDG&E the next day! I dont think thats typicality completed that fast so we were pleased!Thanks Semper Solaris!And a special thanks for all the vets who work for you for their service.
