Comment: Re-roofing job was for seven rental units and garages (four separate structures). Original legacy roof was six layers in urgent need of Removal & Replacement. Six firms submitted bids with final selection going to Modern Roofing based on reviews, pricing, and our initial experiences with Adam, the Project Manager. Adam and Anton (responsible for Quality control) both provided superb, professional, and courteous support during all stages of the job. Adam urged us to complete this job ASAP and his entire crew worked diligently, completing the job by 12/23/22. Then the rains hit. No leaks during record rainfall. And we’re speaking of biblically epic downpours. No surprises from Modern Roofing during the process, no issues noted by the City inspectors, and no complaints from the tenants. Comment: We recently purchased an older home and completed major interior renovations in 2019. After completing the interior work, we knew that we needed to replace the old roof to protect all the work completed inside.We got quotes from four reputable roofing companies in addition to Modern Roofing. Through Lowes, Modern Roofing provided the most accurate estimate with the best pricing. The entire back side of our roof required decking and the other four companies provided estimates with only a few sheets of decking. Any experienced roof estimator can clearly see that the backside of the roof required decking...to be accurate about 14 sheets of 4ft x 8th decking. Initially, the other four roofing company estimates were in the ballpark plus minus $1500 dollars. But it was only Modern Roofings estimate that was in the middle of group that included all the required decking.The other so called reputable roofing companies estimate would have jumped thousands of dollars more during the removal process due to the need for more decking. If we had started with any of the other companies, we would have been stuck at a much higher price to finish the job (bait and switch).It was clear that the accurate and honest estimate from Modern Roofing was the company to go with...without a doubt.Fast forward two years later...12/31/22 (New Years Eve) and we discovered a few leaks from the rains due to a manufacturers design flaw and our Lowes rep ordering the wrong size ridge caps (should have been 10-inch ridge caps not 8 inch). We contacted Lowes and they recommend we contact the company that installed our new roof which was Modern Roofing.Many companies talk about service and support after the sales but rarely do companies follow through.We contacted Modern Roofing New Years Eve and their Management Team responded to us on a major holiday weekend and assured us that someone will be out to inspect our roof. After being in contact with Modern Roofing we felt rest assured during this stressful time.As promised on the following business day (1/2/23) a roof technician arrived to inspect the roof and also provided a temporary solution (which worked) to prevent further damage. As soon as there was a break in the weather with no rain (3 days later), the Modern Roofing team immediately returned to fix the issues and completed the permeant repairs.We have been truly blessed to have Modern Roofing replace our entire roof and the provide the amazing after service and support.We havent been paid a single dime, as a matter of fact not even a single penny for this review. We are just compelled to share our amazing first class experience we have had with Modern Roofing and their Management Team.Accurate and honest estimates, great work, amazing service and support post sale and installation.They are FIRST CLASS all the way. Comment: Alex was my project manager for two projects. The first was when a tree fell on my roof and took out a section of roof and gutter. Alex offered to assist with the insurance claim process however I chose to do that on my own, but it was nice knowing the option was there. The second project was to replace subfloor in a spa room. After the 1st project was done to my satisfaction I felt comfortable going with Modern Roofing for the spa room which was more of a general contracting gig. They are a licensed general contractor but mostly do roofs is what I was told.Both projects Alex managed the whole process efficiently and effectively. He scheduled the crew, delivery of materials, clean up/haul away of debris, and ensured the work was done to my satisfaction.I am very pleased with Modern Roofings workmanship and professionalism. In fact there was a problem with Home Depot delivering some material up my steep driveway with their huge delivery truck and Alex personally delivered the sheets of plywood (osb) in his own personal truck. They communicate effectively and problem solve as needed. I didnt have to worry about anything. I was advised of the delay immediately and I think Alex got back to me within a day on the solution.I would not hesitate to use Modern Roofing again for other projects in the future and can wholeheartedly recommend them to anyone else needing roof work or just general contracting. You wont be disappointed.

Comment: Mike, the estimator, came and save me tens of thousand of dollars. They will have my business. They did not do my roof because I didn’t need one. Whew!I thought my roof was 33 years old because I couldn’t find a building permit from the City of SaMo. It turns out it was redone in 2002ish by the owner/builder. The first two other estimators didn’t inspect the roof and I would have wasted my money. They wanted to use Google earth and/or didn’t want to use a ladder from my second floor balcony. He did!I researched how to determine the age of roof online and my roof didn’t show signs in the article. Mike spent his time to check out the roof. Very professional. He took and sent me photos. He told me their material warranty was 50 years, the others were 10, 25 years.This company offers all three top asphalt shingles, Corning, GAF, and last one I don’t remember. He said they cost the same. OthersOffer one or two of the three.Definitely have them come out and see what you need done, really need done.

In my situation, Mike was able to clarify what looked like a huge roofing project to me, explaining the materials used to fix it and giving an estimate on how much usage Id still get out of the roof. I left our inspection meeting feeling confident and empowered to make a decision about whether or not to proceed with the purchase.
