Comment: The first attempt, once the area was prepared it became too windy, so the Mills crew cleaned up and we rescheduled 4 days later, and all went as planned. The crew was efficient and cleaned up great. There was over spay on my new paint job, but the product cleaned up fine from what I can see. If the product does what is advertised, Im a happy camper.

In summary Mills set the expectations on what the project would entail, potential variables, cost and when it would be done and in the end all of my expectations where meet. Working with Brad Mills on this project was a class in mountain living. He spent significant time speaking with us on all of the roofing options available to address the snow/ice and rain. Comment: Used Mills to deal with an ice dam on my roof - they cleared the problem area and installed heat trace to prevent the problem from happening again until I can repair the roof in the spring. I had quotes for less, but I really wanted a professional (read: safe and insured) team to do the work. On this measure, I was very happy. Comment: I had somewhat of a mystery issue. I had a very intermittent leak and didnt know where it was coming from. I called another roofing company my neighbor recommended and kept getting a voicemail full message. I called Mills Roofing and the call was answered live and I had an inspection on the calendar immediately. Brian came out and did everything he possibly could to diagnose this mystery, with the added challenge of my roof being covered with snow. A few days later Pete came out and fixed the splitter where it potentially could have been leaking. At least if it leaks again, it is definitely not coming from that area of my roof. The work of removing heavy ice dams, roof shoveling, and treatment of ceiling moisture caused by two separate issues, were able to be addressed by this knowledgeable crew. Obviously, this was a busy time due to the heavy snow storm and continued snow but I waited a week after being told they were booking 2 days out. With that said, once booked, they arrived early considering they are coming from ~hour away in good weather. The 2 gentleman were very thorough and amazingly fast considering the amount of snow on the roof. In the approx 4 hours they were here, they updated me a couple of times and then reviewed what they had done before they left.

Comment: We have used Mills Roofing both to shovel our roof and to repair damage that was done during the last big storm we had. the work they did on our home and a rental property was so professional, customer focused, and timely, that we have asked them to shovel the roofs on both homes this December after the heavy storm dumped so much snow. The crew, once again, was timely, strong in communicating, professional and did an outstanding job. I would like to single out Zac, crew chief, who had the home with the most snow and big , heavy icicles that needed to be carefully removed. Zac keep me appraised of the estimated time it would take, when they reported in and when they finished and was able to answer all of my questions. Mills came, identified several issues, inspected the roof and tighted/replaced loose or missing screws and did a temporary repair that should get me through the winter. Ernie was very communicative, he kept us updated from when they arrived and when they assessed the possible damage and as soon as they were done. Sent me photos of both roofs (our garage is not attached). Showed me where a few of our vents were crushed or damaged (something which could not be seen from the ground). Comment: We first contacted Mills Roofing in July 2019 regarding replacement of our shake roof to a metal roof. At the time they were not giving new quotes because the heavy winter had delayed the start dates for the projects previously scheduled for 2019. I followed their instructions regarding checking back with them monthly, starting in September, to see if they were ready to give new quotes. I understood it would be 2020 before they could do any work for us. We did get a fair quote in the fall and the roof was completely replaced with metal this month (February 2020). Everyone I dealt with (Dawn , Brad & Nathan) was friendly and very helpful. All of our communication was by phone, text or email because we do not live near this property. All my questions were answered promptly and to my satisfaction. The new roof is beautiful, and more importantly, safer.

Comment: We had a roof leak and when we called them they were able to take care of it within two days. Other companies either didnt return calls or were not available. Be prepared to pay an upfront deposit. They want to be sure their time is paid for. Roofers are a valuable commodity in this area and if that deposit ensures their quality work, OK with me. We are contracting with them to replace the entire roof later this spring. We asked for estimates from several companies, but their price was in line with the others and our neighbor recommended them. Also their analysis of our roofing needs was much more thorough than others AND there was no hard sell.

Comment: I am the President of The Glenbrook Cottage and Town Home Association (GCTA) and was introduced to Mills Roofing by Incline Property Management. GCTA is an HOA with 132 Cottages and Town Homes. The Association is responsible for 68 Town Home Roofs whose average life is approximately 20 years.We asked Mills Roofing to assess the current condition of the 68 roofs and to outline a maintenance and repair program to maximize the service life of each unit. Townhome were originally built in three phases and have different exposures to sunlight and snowfall.Mills completed the initial inspection in the spring of 2019 and completed the maintenance and repairs in Sept 2019. They also recommended a new product ROOFMAXX to restore the flexibility and integrity of the asphalt shingles. 24 TH were treated with ROOFMAXX as a sample and will be subsequently reinspected to assess the effectiveness of the product.Mills provided a detailed budget and scope of work and the implementation was completed on time and on budget. Mills personnel were very professional and pleasant to work with. The job sites were cleaned up immediately. In Summary GCTA was very pleased with Mills performance and look forward to working with them in the future.

Comment: Mills Roofing helped us both in the winter, immediately responding to a leak due to heavy snow load on the roof and during the summer to provide us with a permanent fix. Rather than replacing the entire roof, Mills saved me tens of thousands of dollars by spraying the roof with Roof Max to extend the life of the roof. Their entire crew was fantastic. Super efficient, kind group of workers who explained to me what they were doing, were always on time, and respectful of my property. They even changed a flat tire for me when I ran over a nail in my driveway (not Mills nail, it was another contractors working onsite)! I HIGHLY recommend!

Comment: Mills Roofing came out last winter when we had a leak and fixed it..we had 5 or 6 feet of snow on the roof in Truckee. Earlier this month we had our entire roof redone by them. All the crew was very professional , friendly,hard working and knowledgeable. They cleaned up every day and left the work area neat and tidy. I would highly recommend them. We are happy customers ♥️

Dawn Mills and the crews were extremely responsive, showed up when they said they would, provided clear options and pricing for the services and completed the work on time and under their quoted price. Comment: Just had my roof in Reno completed by these guys. I was super impressed by the service, communication, and price relative to the quality of work. Its obvious that they run a legitimate outfit and take pride in what they do. They even wrapped the fascia and soffet in metal clad to match the color of the roof, and the whole job is basically bullet-proof. I highly doubt Ill ever need to touch this roof again. Thanks guys for a job well done, and Ill be back if I ever get another house.

Comment: We met the team at Mills Roofing when a rainstorm revealed a roofing problem during a heavy rainstorm. They immediately returned our call, planned their visit and were able to reroof this smaller roof area before the snow began to fall. A simple fix was possible as well, but our intention was to reroof the whole house the next warm season.Jeremy and his very able and large crew were able to finish the project as planned. They arrived early, worked hard and totally removed all debris everyday they worked. We appreciated the attention to detail in every way, and really appreciated that they were attentive to a tidy worksite. Especially helpful was a solution to a problem we have endured for the last 20 years, trickles of water finding its way to our ceiling at the chimney stack. Huge!We selected a product that will survive the weather at 6,500 feet and as much as we enjoyed our relationship with this company, we are confident we will never need them again!I would recommend Mills Roofing for your next project!

Unfortunately they couldnt get the job done the summer I contacted them (I live way up in Alpine Meadows and get snow too frequently...) but they kept in touch over the winter and got to my job right away after the snow melted.They provided photos of the job. I was up at the house for a few days while the crew did their work and they were great folks - nice, communicative and caring for my property.

Comment: Brad and Jeremy are easy to work with and honest. Put up a temp patch on our tree-damaged roof to secure our place until weather cleared enough for the entire roof to be replaced. Then I get a call - can we fit you in earlier than expected? hurray!!The team shows up with all the gear and their own porta potty- gets the job done in time quoted, posts photos online as job progressed and cleaned up everything.Thanks Jeremy and Brad:)

Comment: We had excellent service when we called Mills Roofing to do a repair on our chimney/roof. They quickly identified our issue and showed us what was wrong with detailed pictures and an easy to understand explanation. We appreciated the knock on the door every morning when they arrived to let us know they were going to get started for the day. They were in and out without issue and even offered to haul an extra piece of trash to the dump for us!

Comment: A 5 star operation from beginning to end for roof repair due to ice dam formation during winter. Brad came out and gave us an estimate for the 3 day job. The crew were on time each day, very courteous and the jobsite was kept safe and immaculate. The job was started and completed on time and within the budget. May not have been the cheapest, but you get what you pay for and we got the best which was worth every dollar. Will use them again in the future for any and all roofing needs.

Comment: We bought a house in Northstar that turned out to have a leaky roof. We had it inspected by two other roofing companies who both failed to identify the source of the leaks. However they both suggested we install a new roof. Then we asked Mills Roofing to take a look. They not only identified the source of the problem--They FIXED IT. We did not have to install a new roof. They were great to work with and we would recommend them to anyone in or around Truckee.

Comment: We have always valued their opinion and work. Most recently, I asked them, on very short notice, for a a full estimate, including the cost for just a repair. They looked at my roof and had the estimate back to me within 24 hours. The details in the estimate was very helpful and just what we needed. Comment: Highly professional and skilled!!!Jeremy and his crew did an awesome job on my roof. I was not there but they sent pictures through Dropbox to illustrate what their work encompassed. An unexpected add occurredDue to prior shoddy work by others. They both illustrated by photo and orally by phone the surprise which I authorized.They cleaned up behind and left me a gorgeous, new roof.I highly recommend them.They are not the cheapest, but they are the best and you get what you pay for.
