Comment: Mel’s Roofing is really outstanding! They expertly repaired and rebuilt my tile roof, and also found and fixed several other problems that had been missed. They came back a second time after the solar panels were reinstalled to finish everything up and replaced a few broken tiles, then left the job site spotless. I’m very impressed and happy with their work!

Comment: Mel replaced our roof and him and his team did great! Mel was responsive with regards to getting an estimate and were able to get us scheduled within a month. Our roof was not an easy roof due to height, access, and steepness. Another roofer refused to even give us an estimate due to these reasons. Mel’s pricing was very reasonable. His workers showed up on time everyday and worked long days to get the work done as fast as possible. They were great about cleaning up at the end of everyday as well. Overall, the quality of the work was great, they were responsive and timely, they worked hard and the price was very fair.

Comment: Mel’s Roofing is honest, dependable and professional. Mel is very knowledgeable, and his quote was extremely fair. The crew was on-time, courteous, professional and did outstanding work. At the beginning of the job, I thought that I had enough tiles to replace the broken light weight cement tiles damaged by last year’s winter, but I was wrong! No fear. Me’s team literally drove out to Lodi to get extras to complete the job. I highly recommend Mel’s Roofing!

Comment: This company is extremely trustworthy. It’s been a year since they did our roof and there have been some crazy rainstorms since. Our roof had several unique issues introduced by it really being 3 separate roofs all joined together and they handled it extremely well. Super commutative throughout the process, restructured several joining to improve the roof structure, and a really fair price. I just got done recommending them to several friends and saw my review from a year ago never actually posted. Hopefully this one goes through. Great company. Great people. Hard to find the right specialists for things like roofing that come up (hopefully) infrequently but can’t recommend these guys enough.

Comment: Mel was thorough and honest, and provided the most comprehensive quote we received from over 5 different roofers - and we checked all of them with a contractor friend before selecting Mels to ensure accuracy with the quote. When a problem arose with our rooftop ac unit, he was quick to communicate and request additional professional assistance from an ac company. He did as much as he could working around the ac, waited for us to fix the issues with ac, and then finished the job as quickly as possible. I was especially impressed with his honesty and hands-on approach. Every day we had the crew there, Mel was present and overseeing the work.Later the same year, we had solar installed, and Mel came out to make sure the work wouldnt violate his warranty Pro Bono. We were extremely satisfied with our service and plan on using Mel for future needs.

Comment: After talking to many other roofing companies, I ended up choosing Mels Roofing. Most other roofing companies either never showed up for the estimate, or took multiple days/weeks to get back to me with a bid on the job. I was impressed from the start with Mels communication. He responded to every message and answered all my questions. I did an entire roof replacement of my house. The great experience I had with Mel continued through to the end of the roof install even after I handed him the final payment. All the work he did looked great and passed inspection, and the crew did a good job cleaning around the property. I had a follow up question for him and even after receiving my final payment he had someone come out to make everything right. I would highly recommend hiring Mels team and wouldnt hesitate to work with them again in the future for any roofing needs.

Comment: Our roof was in a bad shape. Mel and his crews took out 3 layers of shingles and repaired damaged parts of roof. We now have a beautiful roof with new vents and gutters! Addition to their wonderful work, they came on time and cleaned every time.

Comment: Mel and crew did a great job. Finished both roof and shed tear-off and new roof in 2 days along with new gutters. The city inspector was impressed with how clean the site was (as was I of course) and that the gutters were perfectly level without the debris which he often finds on jobs. They also installed a ridge vent and 8 O’Hagin vents for proper attic ventilation. Everything was done quickly and on time as promised without a hitch. The roof flashing was done beyond expectations where there were previously leaks and also they replaced the dry rot pieces on my porch which had resulted from the lack of flashing on the previous roof. Thanks Mel!

Comment: I wanted to have leaf guard covers installed but because I had dutch gutters it could not be done. They had to be removed. I searched roof repair on-line and was directed to Mels Roofing. When I explained the problem he understood the issue. Mel came and explained what would have to occur. He also inspected my roof (took pictures) and it was determined that it needed to be replaced as well. Dutch gutters were removed and a new roof installed. It was easy working with Mel and his fantastic crew.

Comment: Mel arrived 5 minutes before the scheduled window time. He was very professional and wore a mask. I explained what the issue was and where. Mel used a gutter protection for the ladder and inspected the problem. He told me what it was and that he could have it fixed immediately. Within 5 minutes the problem was fixed. Others wanted to charge over $500 for this service, but not Mel. He was honest, fair, professional, and punctual. I will definitely call and use Mel again when we need a new roof or for any other problems or repairs.
