Comment: McMurray & Sons have always done an awesome job me. I have had some tough roofs on our commercial building for them to work on the last few years, so far they have completed 4 of the 5 roofs I need redone on my building.Billy had always provided top notch customer service. One thing with reroofing is you can almost guarantee something will go wrong as it is not a brand new building. Billy has always worked with me, problem solved, and did what was necessary to complete the job. I am truly grateful for all the work McMurray has done for me and look forward to next year’s roofing project.

Comment: My very close neighbor just had his roof replaced on 11/16 and I just had to come here to brag about the fact that there was not a single nail or shingle shrapnel in my side dog run. I’m quite impressed. Was expecting to have at “least” a few nails & shingle pieces to try & find in my gravel dog run, but there was nothing. Great job! That very same neighbor was picking up shrapnel in his yard when the roof was replaced on my house a few years ago by a different company.

Comment: So first of all, I need to stress the danger of the job they did, seeings as how our house is an old Victorian, and the pitch of the roof is VERY slanted. That being said, we HAVE to give this business an all around 5 star ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ review, because in every single aspect of what their job entails, THEY NAILED IT, (no pun intended!) for sure; but I must mention specifically the clean up the crew did, EVERY SINGLE DAY they were here, because that, in particular, is an area that not very many companies excell in. This crew, was SO awesome, you couldnt even TELL theyd had to do an EXCESSIVE tear-off, before they could even begin the process of upgrading our roof. My husband and I happen to rent the attic, so we have an especially THOROUGH view of the job they did, every single day. And of the four days, (well, technically 3.5 days,) they were here, YOU LITERALLY COULD NOT TELL THEYD DONE ANY tear off, on the ground, because they were meticulous about picking up every single sliver of redwood that had come off the roof, as they went-(NOT JUST after the job was done, on the last day!!) It was extremely 👍👍👍. I know, anytime I come across a friend of mine, or even a stranger, frankly, that I hear talking about needing a new roof, it WILL BE THIS COMPANY THAT I RECOMMEND FOR THEIR QUALITY IN ALL THE JOBS THEY DID FOR US.Thank you guys.The crew really deserves a raise, for the above and beyond way they helped us out, too. Thank you thank you thank you!!!!*I WILL post photos tomorrow.

Comment: Through rain, sleet, or dark of atmospheric river, McMurray and Sons delivers!! Twice they have saved me. First time, about 12 years ago, my house in Eureka. I let a contractor who was not a roofer, replace my roof. Turned out he was more con-man than contractor. He installed the new roof incorrectly, and was completely defiant. In our conversation he had let me know he was friends with McMurray and Sons through his church. So I naturally called M&S, asked them to do a roof inspection, without telling the con-man. Their inspector came out, confirmed it was all wrong. When I told him who did it, he frowned, said he wished it wasn’t so. “It is what it is, and not what it isn’t”. The con man paid for the re-roof. The inspector did the job himself to save his friend some money. Roof is perfect still. Fast forward to yesterday. Older home I bought in Bayside. Had a roof leak due to poor flashing that I thought I fixed. As we know, this type of rain finds all leaks! I called M&S in the morning, water leaking down into my house, they came out that afternoon and fixed the leak in a downpour with what they had on hand. I’m going to have them come back and do a more permanent repair. They got me through the emergency and showed me explicitly what was going wrong and how they addressed it. I’ve had good results with other roofers in humboldt. However, McMurray and Sons is on a whole different level.

I also recommend them to clients, family and friends (all of whom have had positive experiences). When we had a reroof done of our rental, the neighbor actually called and had them come out to do his house too because of how efficiently and cleanly they got the job done!

Comment: We hired McMurray & Sons in Eureka do a complete tear out and disposal of my old roof September 2022 in Eureka. After the tear out they reroofed the house using GAF roofing singles on the house and Bitumen torch down roofing on the garage roof. They were right on time and started right away. Hymie and his crew were very professional and courteous. I had ask them to reflash my chimney with a metal collar where a previous roofer had done an unsightly one. They removed and replaced it and it was done to perfection. When the roof was done I was completely satisfied on the way it turned out. The gutters went up without a hitch by the subcontractors they used (Air Tight heating and sheet metal). Both roofers and gutter installers paid attention to detail and answered my questions without hesitation. The cost of the work was reasonable in my opinion, especially in these times. I would highly recommend them for any roofing project. Billy, my contact/estimator was very helpful in getting us the senior discount and veterans rebate which was very nice to get, every bit helps! I got several bids before deciding on McMurray and Sons who came in lower than their competitors. Comment: Probably the best roofing company in Humboldt. The admin staff was helpful and I was called the next day, understandable since it was rainy season and everyones roofs were leaking. Jaime and Jesse came out and were both very knowledgeable and knew their stuff. Comment: By far the most detailed and personable staff from the three companies I received a quote from. I had Steve Claasen come by and inspect my roof for an estimate. He gave me several tips to get a few more years out of my roof, and took time to answer my questions. These are the sort of folks you want to come to your home, and when it comes time to purchasing a new roof, McMurray and Sons will be at the top of my list as a result.
