Comment: 12/10/2021 - LOOK NO FURTHER! J Ratch Construction and Roofing, owned and run by Jeff Ratchford, is top notch and so is his crew -- very high quality for a reasonable cost. My hub and I have been around the block with contractors for years and years and years, so we know a good one when we see one. Jeff stayed right on schedule, communicated very well, was polite, efficient, didnt try to upsell us on this, that and the other thing in a big fancy showroom, etc. and did excellent clean up afterwards, including cleaning our gutters. I would give 10 stars if I could. Hes a busy guy - BE PATIENT! He will get the job done right, not bankrupt you, and you will come away happy. J. Taysom

Comment: They did a great job. reasonable estimate,. Showed me pictures of my roof and explained its condition before starting. Also, Jeff took pictures of any additional problems he uncovered when he removed the old roof before he fixed them. Did nice additional things, such as, added extra gutter braces where he thought they were needed. Even painted the air vents the same color as my roof so they disappear. Highly recommended.

Comment: I had a full asphalt shingle roof replacement done in 2017 and a tile roof repair done a couple days ago. Got three quotes for the first and Jeff was the only one that actually knew what he was doing and by far the best price. Will definitely hire him again for any future work.Full roof was $17,000 including 40 hours of carpentry repair (70 year old house). Patches on the concrete tile roof were $1,900.

Comment: I used J Ratch Construction 2 years ago to fix a roof leak. They were the only contractor to give me a guarantee and the price was very reasonable. We had no leaks thereafter, even with some very intense storms.Recently I had them out to do some minor roof repair, clean leaf debris from the roof and clean the gutters. They arrived on time and did a very thorough job.

Jeff provided a reasonable bid for the level of work required, which involved re-roof, extended roof area, dry rot repairs and installation of gutters. The work progressed efficiently, which I greatly appreciated, especially since work began during the last week of February, and completed in March 2020, days before a seasonal rain storm. He also blew in attic insulation, installed new skylights and gutters, and removed an old wood pergola that was attached to my house. I selected J Ratch Construction after interviewing three roofing contractors. Jeffs price was in line with the other quotes and he was by far the most professional.
