Comment: My husband and I decided to replace our roof, it was a big issue for us in the past two years. After doing the research, I found Golden Coast Roofing. Levi came over and gave me a very detailed and professional introduction! Then gave me a good price estimate! Levi is reliable and responsible, answering questions were very promptly!When they started our project, the staffs worked very hard, they cleaned up and took away all the trash everyday. Comment: 2/9/22 - After a strong winter storm, my roof started leaking. I called several places right away who came to scope the job. Several companies gave a price, but never followed up with a proper quote, and some simply disappeared. Eventually, I settled on another company to repair the roof, but they kept giving me the runaround. After 4 weeks of waiting, I called Golden Coast Roofing. John came out a day later, went on the roof, and showed me via pictures exactly what was needed. He quickly followed up with a formal quote, and they used electronic signatures which was amazing! They performed the work right away and finished within only a few hours as they brought a team of 5 to quickly complete the job. The professional nature, constant communication, and use of electronic technology made this a very easy, pleasant and professional experience.

Comment: Max and his team are absolutely the best of the best. Thoroughly professional, smart, prompt, pleasantly and articulately communicative, patient, and excellent with follow-up. My dining room ceiling unexpectedly started to leak in the middle of the downpour at 9:30 PM on New Years Eve. Max was on my roof with me the next day (thats right, New Years Day) spreading the tarp until the rain stopped and his crew could come out to do the work. The crew came as soon as it was safe to do so and they did a magnificent job. Max personally made sure the crew got it all right (he didnt need to do that, they actually did get it right). When it was all done, Max came by again so I could ask a few questions. The not-so-good news is my roof is closing in on 25 years old and probably will need to be replaced in a few years. The great news is, I will not be hunting around for a reputable roofer -- I have one and I am not losing his number.

Comment: We had a roof leak over the holidays at our rental property in Cerritos. Contacted several roofing contractors and no one wanted to take the job because it was a small job. Comment: After getting numerous quotes to remove and replace my tile roof and install new underlayment, I chose Golden Coast Roofing; and heres why. Max, the owner, does business the old-fashioned way. His word is golden (pun intended). His promises were all kept and there were no surprises; as he promised. Clearly his intent is to build up long term relationships with his customers; like I said, the old-fashioned way of doing business. As a senior, I appreciate his honest, integrity and his straight forward approach to business. His foreman Gerber and the rest of his talented crew are top notch, polite, hard working and show pride in workmanship with their attention to detail. Comment: Max and his team were great. Starting with the estimate, Max arrived on time, got on the roof, took the measurements, made a assessment of the condition of the roof, and quoted us a price. This took about 10 minutes. An email with the itemized details followed the next day. As anyone that has sat though multiple presentations from other contractors who request that both you and your wife be present, youll understand why we appreciated Maxs straight-forward approach.After we signed the contract, Max got the permits and set the dates for the work to start. These were quick conversations and texts; the city permits arrived, and the roofing crew (6 guys) showed up on the day just as Max said they would. Demolition took place on Tuesday, city inspection on Wednesday, and the roofing materials were delivered that afternoon. We had a new roof by Thursday afternoon. The final inspection occurred on the following Monday. The actual work took place in 2 days (for a 2,600 sq. ft. roof) which was great as we were able to resume our normal lives. This is especially important as most of us are working from home these days.For the inspections, Daniel (another employee) was there to act as the liaison with the city inspector. Daniel collected the payments from me, and I received receipts from Max later that day. In almost every instance, Max picked up the phone when I called and responded promptly to my texts. But frequent communication wasnt required much because once we set the dates, everything happened as planned.Max delivered everything I was looking for. Prompt customer service and quality work, all with an extremely competitive bid. Now all that needs to happen is for it to rain so we can test out the new roof (I doubt there will be any issues anyway)! Thank you for everything Golden Coast Roofing!

Comment: If youre a property owner, replacing or repairing a roof is never an easy topic to digest.From interviewing contractors, coordinating bid/assessments, scheduling work dates, moving tenants, moving/protecting interior assets, making payments, and following up to ensure the project is managed and completed in a timely fashion.... the list of tasks can be overwhelming and cause a ton of unanticipated stress (youre probably getting more stressed just reading this paragraph).Why am I sharing these facts?Well... besides the interviewing process of 5 contractors (which Im trying to save you the burden of enduring), Max and the Golden Coast Roofing team eliminated EVERY stressful hurdle I could possibly anticipate.From a business personality perspective, Max was by far the easiest contractor to interact with during the assessment/bidding process. He provided me multiple options and clearly explained the differences so I could make the best decision moving forward. I didnt have to chase him for answers, and he didnt chase or pressure me for a decision. That sort of professional confidence and follow-through speaks volumes to me from a consumers perspective.From a quality of work perspective, Max and his team are hands down the most proficient contractors Ive worked with in over 30 years. They handled all project scheduling, permits, tenant interaction, asset protection, and cleanup in a timely and reasonable fashion. Comment: Max and his team are TOP notch. My neighbor used Golden Coast for his new roof and was happy with him. So I first used him for a larger job on an older 7 unit apartment building. His quote was reasonable, but more importantly - I immediately felt comforted with his knowledge and expertise. He suggested things for my building that 3 other contractors I received bids from did not. Yet his quote was in line with or more reasonable than the 3 competing bids. As he did the work he sent me regular updates, passed inspection and completed on time. He didnt nickel and dime me on additional work and he shared pics as the job was being done. I was so pleased that I had him replace the roof on my house too, and that job was completed quickly and flawlessly too. Use these guys - they are honest, hard working and reasonable. I have no personal connection to this company, I am just a big fan of small business that are out there doing good, honest, expert work.

Golden Coast Roofing was by far the most responsive of 7 different companies I tried to connect with. Comment: I hired Max at Golden Coast to repair a flat section of the roof of my 1-story home. Ive had many issues in the past with this section after several attempts to implement partial fixes to save money. Max recommended that I remove the section and completely re-do it properly. He was honest and fair and explained to me several options that I could choose from. I opted to completely redo the section and boy am I glad I did. His crew was very professional and did a great job. They went above and beyond and did not cheap our or get lazy at all. They did a fantastic job. They offered a 2 year warranty and I trust that Max would help out even after that period if it is obviously due to a problem with their work. I highly recommend this company.
