Comment: We needed to replace our old roof after we discovered leaks after heavy rains and were really fretting the enormity and cost of the task, but our fears were put at ease from Roberts first visit to look at the roof. He did a very thorough inspection of the existing roof and gave us a detailed quote for the renovation that he walked us through, item by item, answering all of our questions. Once we decided to pull the trigger on the job, Ferguson & Melvin worked with us to schedule a time, and everything began promptly on the day. The crew did a great job with the initial tear-down of the old roof, and when there were surprises discovered underneath, Tom Melvin walked me around the whole house to point them out, propose the solution, and was able to promptly give me a quote for the extra costs so we could make an informed decision as to how to proceed. Communication was top notch every step of the way. The crew did a great job cleaning up after work was completed, and Robert gave me a detailed walk around the house for some last looks, where he also showed how they had shored up the areas where the original suspected leaks were, and we were all done. Exemplary work, all around! Would 100% recommend Ferguson & Melvin for a job of this type to anyone.

Comment: I needed service on my roof after 20 years of no leaks/problems (Roof replaced 20 years ago by Ferguson & Melvin ). I researched different alternatives and different contractors. In the end I came home to F&M. They understood all the issues and had a clear professional plan to deal with my ponding and coating issues at a reasonable cost. I talked to other companies that offered a lower price for work that would not have resulted in a good, long lasting, solution. If you want expert work at a reasonable price I can confidently recommend that you talk to Ferguson & Melvin.

Comment: As a Board Member of a large HOA Association in Santa Clarita I have had the pleasure in dealing Tom Melvin with Ferguson & Melvin Roofing. We needed a complete re-roofing project that encompassed over 40 buildings with over 300 air conditioning units on top. The Board interviewed close to seven established roofing companies and had them come out and see the buildings before the interview.Tom Melvin made it to the final round of the top two roofing contractor choices the Board chose. He stood out by doing his homework and really knowing the buildings by personally inspecting them. Tom offered great ideas and solutions that the other roofers did not do. It was unanimous that we decided to go the Ferguson & Melvin.Dealing with contractors in a large HOA is a daily activity. It’s rare to deal with a contractor who says that he will be there on Monday 7:00 AM and guess what. He is there at 7:00AM… WOW. You leave him a message and guess what…. He calls you right back! He shoots straight and doesn’t candy coat things and make you think that everything is great when it really isn’t. If he is running one day behind schedule on a building he will tell you. If he is one day ahead of schedule on another building he will tell you. No games…Just the truth…Good or bad.It’s refreshing dealing people like that because in my experience that’s a rare find. I would strongly recommend you consider this company if you need a roofer. Top Quality and Top Performance.

They called me on the phone, were thorough and responsive and we cleared up some miscommunication that in the endwas just bad luck. I am very happy they are going to estimate our job and provide a proposal for our project because this is the kind of company we need to do the job. Thank you Tom & Robert.7/21/2020 3:45 PMI spoke to a young man named Andrew who was nice over the phone and they have all the appearances of the kind of roofing company our HOA could use for a roof estimate and contracting. I was promised a response from the project manager on three occasions and gave a deadline for an estimate. Was never called back and on the day before the deadline was told the project manager was not interested and that was that. Extremely disappointed that the project manager couldnt bring himself to even make a phone call.
