Comment: Richard at Federal Building Roofing was recommended by us to the real estate agent who helped us buy our house. We needed an entire re-roof. The old roof was one layer of asphalt shingles over the original wood shake, which meant they had to tear everything off and start with new sheeting.We were very happy with the work that they did. Their quote was very reasonable and a few little add-ons we requested were done just at the cost of the parts itself. They cleaned up their mess at the end of each day which meant we didnt feel trapped in our house for the week. Any time I called Richard with a question or issue he responded quickly. They took care of all aspects, buying all the supplies they needed, setting up the inspections, etc. I will happily recommend Federal Building Roofing to any of my friends who need a roof job done.

Comment: Highly recommended. Very professional. Gave a very clear assessment of the roofs condition. Richards estimate of the age of the roof matched the city records when we pulled them. Only recommended what was needed to be done. Did not try to up-sell any work. Pulled permits and executed the work on time and on budget. Their cost is very reasonable. They answered all questions and concerns. I would highly recommend them for your roofing needs.

Comment: Richard Griego came out and gave us an estimate for a new roof. We considered it a fair price after obtaining estimates from other companies that were higher and didnt include as much. The workers were here when Richard said they would be and completed the job in the promised time. We were happy with the quality of the work and the way they cleaned up every day at the end of work. Comment: I like to get recommendations from family and friends as I shop. Richard came highly recommended by our Realtor (she has gotten us good workers in the past), who has used his company for multiple jobs. My roof is concrete tile so it was a heavy job.He was quick to respond to my request for a quote, and discussed all aspects of the job thoroughly, and the price was fair and honest, and messages were promptly returned. His crew started and ended the job at the agreed upon dates, and he had a big crew of company workers, not just laborers hired from a parking lot.I appreciated that his crew left the worksite clean on a daily basis (we have little kids), and they swept the yard for nails before they left.I hate spending money on projects like a roof (would rather take a vacation), but I have no regrets having this work done on my house, it looks great, and he even took care of all the permit hassle.

Comment: I decided after living in my home for many years, and the recent windstorm in the Southern CA valleys, that my roof finally needed a makeover. I obtained 4 estimates, and was told by all of them that I needed the plywood base for the roof, as I guess roofs on older homes werent necessarily built with them. Federal Building & Roofing actually came in with the lowest bid, so I decided to go with them, as I saw they had good ratings here.The team started promptly on the scheduled start date and got a lot of work done the first day, tearing off and hauling away the old roof and clearing out the debris. Richard left me samples of the Timerline Natural Shadow shingles on the first day, and I had up until the afternoon of the 2nd day to decide on a color. The 2nd day was the sheeting inspection from the city, so not much happened that day. On the 3rd day, most of the shingling, the 2 dormer vents, and 2 attics fans were installed, with only 1 side of the house remaining. On the 4th day, the remainder of the roof was completed. And I write this on the 5th day, when the final inspection is to occur.Richard Griego is the person who gave me the estimate, and hes also the person who I have contact with on any questions and progress on the job. Hes very professional and extremely responsive. We exchange emails and phone calls daily. I had complete confidence that he would get the job done in a timely and high quality fashion.The shingles he installed were the Timberline Natural Shadow 30-year life in Barkwood. I love the color! I am glad I went with this color as the darker contrast is nice against the cream color stucco of our house. The pictures in the brochures do not do it justice.
