Although cost was definitely a big concern as this was a big job, Doron impressed me so much by being honest, transparent and promising excellent workmanship. All these things he delivered and no extra fees/charges were applied!His team was skilled, thorough and speedy, without neglecting any aspect of the job. In addition, they cleaned the jobsite after EACH day, leaving my property spotless! This might not seem like a big deal, but it’s really nice when you are living with demolition on 2,000 sf of roof.Each worker knew their job and went right to work. No time wasting, gossiping to run the work clock out. As a consumer, I havent experienced this level of customer service in a long time. The roof is exactly what we wanted (and needed). They went above and beyond (for example, after the job wrapped, Eli came to inspect the roof AND cleaned our skylights from residue that had accumulated for years before).I got three bids before going with Equinox -- Eli was the only one who really took the time to educate me on the process, cost, what to look for when selecting a contractor and roofing materials (regardless of it I went with him). Comment: Mikey and his team finished our roof today. It wasnt an easy job after winter storms with 126 mile an hour winds ripped and through our roof all over the neighborhood. They finished on time and the roof looks excellent. They fixed our solar water heaters and added gutters to our sunroom. This is something that most roofers would never do. Plus they went the extra mile to insure there were no leaks and that I was completely satisfied.One difference between Equinox and Mikeys team, is that they are friendly with no hidden and unknown charges. Just quality work at a quality price. We are glad we chose Equinox and not one of the other guy with vague and mysterious hidden charges some many other companies try to pass on.

Comment: I contacted 3 roofing companies to provide quotes for a full roof replacement of my 23 year+ roof. All came in at about the same price. I selected Equinox because Ben was significantly more thorough in his inspection of my home. What this meant was the quote he provided accurately reflected what actually needed to be done. There were no surprises. The other companies would have either had to add on cost at the end of the project or would have done subpar work. Also, (having already done the research myself), I knew the products he suggested were of excellent quality. Ben provided an honest assessment, provided options and explained the different pros/cons for each choice. There was no pressure. Throughout the project, Ben maintained regular contact and set expectations. The crew was amazingly fast and efficient. The roof looks great! (I later learned they prioritize fixing leaks so any water damaged is limited.) Comment: Ben and his team were very professional and accountable throughout the entire process from generating a formal quote to completing the last touches of installation of a replacement roof for our detached garage and office (during one of the craziest rainstorms that CA has ever seen!). Ben paid careful attention to weather patterns and managed to bring his team to our house with extreme short notice when he saw a window of opportunity to work between rainstorms - he called me the night before to ask if it was ok for his team to come over the next morning to complete the job start to finish, showed up as planned, and completed the entire job just after the sunset. Job included removing a 30yr old roof (3 layers of shingles on a pitched roof and a single layer of flat torch-down roof), cutting out and replacing rotten beams, applying a layer of plywood over all roof surfaces, installing shingles and torch-down flat roof, installed new aluminum gutters all around with 3 downspouts. I would highly recommend working with Equinox Roofing!

That’s the reason I’ve asked Equinox Roofing to come to check how serious it is. Ben inspected the roof and pointed out that there is a place that should be inspected regularly. Comment: I called EQUINOX after meeting with 3 other Roofing companies because we needed our roof completely replaced. (Weve owned our house since 1999 and of course, the Home Owner Insurance companys are going to cover themselves and require, our roof to get completely replaced in order for them to Renew my policy.) I met with their Representative Ben. From our initial meet, he was great! He got on the roof, walked me through everything, pointed out things that had nothing to do with the roofing but, replacing it would benefit Us and the Family long term. (It was just good info he wanted to share.) After meeting with 3 other roofing companies, Ben was thee best!! He spent the time to go into detail of why different procedures with the roof take place. I walked away from our meeting feeling great. Two other roofing companies were alot cheaper BUT, Ben did such an awesome job with helping Us understand, just what a roof replacement would need for it to withstand weather and anything else, longevity wise. We were sold. We, like many, dont have thousands of dollars saved and yes, replacing a roof is costly BUT, as a Home owner, we know, that comes with being blessed with owning a home. It took some weeks to get the money together but, I knew, my husband and I would only use EQUINOX, due to all of Bens hard work in sharing what replacing the roof would entail. The very FIRST day, the EQUINOX Team came out and worked so hard and efficient on the demolition. They left front, back and the the side of our yard, completely CLEAN with no trash left on the site. The job took 3 days and not 3 8hr days. They were so good at what they do and did. The last day, Alfredo (crew member) answered ALL of the questions I had and in detail (Thank You!). Comment: Our relationship with Equinox got off to a solid start with Mikeys comprehensive sales presentation. He showed us shingle samples along with other state-of-the-art materials to be used in the roofing process. Mikey answered all our questions thoroughly, and offered several cost-saving suggestions we were delighted to take advantage of.The work started and ended on time, although there was an unexpected difficulty involving rotten wood that caused a good deal of extra work and required a change order. The repair was exemplary!The Equinox workers were on time every day, and thoroughly cleaned up every day what little mess they created. Mikey visited the jobsite regularly, and was constantly on top of what the workers were doing. The level of communication with Mikey was truly exceptional.When the roofing was completed, we could see why Equinox is the most trusted roofing company in the Bay Area. They certainly have our trust, and our highest recommendation!

Comment: Mikey and his crew completely exceeded expectations. I interviewed 4 companies before taking a meeting with Equinox. My first contact was Mikey and I noticed a difference in professionalism compared to the other companies. He was very thorough with explaining the roofing process for my home and gave a fair price.The crew was very efficient and able to complete the project ahead of schedule. The roof came out great and they cleaned up after they finished. Mikey did a great job communicating and giving daily updates through the process. Comment: We had a leak in our roof from the mounting of some poorly installed solar panels. Equinox answered our call promptly and sent someone out to do a temporary fix that day (putting a cover over the leaky bits), and came back to do a permanent fix a few days later. Easy to work with, the new shingles match the existing roof perfectly, and hopefully no more wet ceilings.

Comment: Equinox Roofing did an amazing job helping repair my moms tile roof. She just moved to the Bay Area by Piedmont and needed assistance with her new homes roof. They repaired the damaged tile located in the back of home and were absolutely thorough with their work. I highly recommend!

Comment: We needed to have our roof redone before winter due to a leak, and so we reached out to a few roofing firms in the area. After a few meetings, we decided to go with Ben @ Equinox because he was so responsive and made us feel like he is truly with us through every step. He provided detailed explanations of everything that needed to be done and was very patient while doing so. We truly appreciate all the work the team did. Comment: Ben at Equinox Roofing has been one of the best contractors weve hired in Walnut Creek. They are super easy to communicate with, have great prices, on time, and delivered a quick turnaround. We had a serious roof leak a couple years ago, and they were able to replace the roof as well as the shingles in 4 days. Fast forward to this week, where a seal in one of our skylights got a slight crack from the cold weather. Ben was able to come by the next afternoon and re-seal the skylight in 20 minutes. Total lifesavers. We will be going w/Equinox Roofing for the foreseeable future. Thanks so much Ben and team!!
