Comment: Let me start by saying this is a ten-star review. 5 stars seems insufficient when assessing the quality work Energy Savings Construction performed for my family.From Virgil (the owner) to the members of his very talented crew every aspect of the project was neat, efficient and handled with the greatest of care.Our projects consisted of a very tricky fence replacement and an updated awning for the backyard.Beginning with the fence, Randall (the crew foreman) consulted with me about the aspects of the build and any concerns I might have. I indicated that the preservation of the flora along the fence was important to me. Randall and the crew not only saved the bushes but also went above and beyond to save two trees that I worried might have to be removed to erect the fence.Randall is a craftsman and his work shows it.The awning was to replace the original one from 1975. The crew was, again, outstanding. Virgil was on site to make sure I was satisfied with the work.Great guy, Virgil.You can’t go wrong with Energy Savings Construction. I only wish I had used their talents earlier (it was a very old awning.)All the best to Virgil and the folks at Energy Savings.Thank you.

Comment: A tree fell on our house 12/31/2022We had our roof repaired, a gutter replaced, foundation repaired, a corner post on one corner of our house replaced and drywall repaired. The work is great! The guys that repaired my roof left nails and screws in 3 different places in my yard.The company had to be reminded that the gutter needed to be painted to match the other gutters.

Comment: The team at ESC pulled off what I think was a very complex bathroom remodel. Even thru all the wet and mucky days we’ve had! Aaron did such an artistic job of arranging the flow of the marble-like colors in the tile!!! And he coordinated a long detailed project… we could not have come close if we DIY’d! Super quick response for questions. 5 stars for sure!!!

Comment: We hired Energy Savings Construction for a large project that included fully remodeling our kitchen, laundry room and dining room. Virgils crew was absolutely fantastic - always on time and very respectful. They were very easy to communicate with and organized. Due to the size of the project, their crew was onsite for a few months, and they became family to us. My kids loved seeing the guys every morning and to hear about the plans for each day. I appreciate how kind each and every one of their guys is. Virgils team made our large project seem easy! We will absolutely use them again.

Comment: Energy Savings did a great job with my home remodel. We had them rip out tile and carpet, replace with hardwood, demolish a hearth, move a wood burning stove, and build a pergola on our back deck. They were punctual and communicative (which is more than I expect from any contractor at this point!) The results were stunning and the work was done in a timely manner. I’ll definitely be using them for any construction work that I have in the future.

Comment: Energy Savings Construction did a great job with an extensive remodel of our bathroom. They removed a wall, closed off a doorway, repaired shoddy old framing and wiring within the walls, and replaced all bathroom fixtures. Their employees were courteous, professional, with good communication, and they applied finish and dust protection in order to minimize dust and mess impact to the rest of the house. I recommend them.

They were in contact every day to answer questions or give updates.As with all large remodel projects there were a few hiccups but as soon as they came up they were addressed to my satisfaction. Comment: Virgil is an expert contractor. We hired him to replace T-111 siding on a guest house that had rotted over the past 30 years. He suggested Hardi Plank siding which came factory painted to match our house and has a 30 year warranty. His crew was specially trained to install this durable product and we could not be happier with the results. In addition to new siding, we were glad Virgil suggested replacing the 30 year old windows. They look amazing and he even had them custom colored. Virgil was fair in his pricing and explained the process so we would know what to expect. They were always on time, cleaned up any construction debris, accessible to answer questions, and pleasant to work with. I am pleased with this company and I will certainly use them in the future whenever I have construction projects.

Comment: I found Virgil on Yelp when I was looking for a siding contractor. Virgil had great reviews and photos showcasing his work. I decided to give him a call. He was straight-forward prompt, and we scheduled a site-visit, that lead to a quote. The quote was reasonable, and after signing the contract, work began promptly.The agreed-upon job was: James Harding siding for the back, framing for the features of the house (windows and doors), and two new triple-paned windows. Virgil’s team did a great job, and we were very impressed with the craftsmanship, details, and work the team did. Virgil’s team also handled permits and working with the San Francisco Building department. We passed both our inspections.We added on a project amid our siding project, which was to demo and re-do our laundry area. Again, the quoting process was quick, the team took measurements, the contract was signed, and work began. The team did a great job, and we are pleased with the results.The total build time for both projects was two weeks from start to finish, not bad for the amount of work that had to get done.Virgil is honest, knowledgeable, and has a very skilled as well as a reliable team that can get any home improvement projects done in a timely fashion and a reasonable price. I like that I can text him or call him, and he is responsive either way.So if you are looking for an honest, reliable contractor who will also make your house more energy-efficient and save you money in the long-run, Virgil and his team are the team for you.

Comment: For our recent air conditioning replacement we had the name of three air companies including Costco services. From the moment we had Virgil to our home from Energy Savings California to complete an initial evaluation, right down to the finished product, we knew we picked the right person and were so happy we went with him.Our basic issue was that we had a problem with efficiency due to poor insulation, ineffective duct work and an old, broken unit. Virgil listened to all our concerns and was able to confirm all of the above, and validate my suspicions. He managed the project so that we didnt have to worry about a thing, right down to the city inspections and clean up. Now we have a new unit, higher efficiency, a much cooler upstairs in the summer... and Im actually looking forward to our first lower electric bill since the install!

With the events that have transpired in our family in the last 3 years it has prevented us from maintaining our home properly and we were feeling overwhelmed. Virgil met with us and made the process super easy , he listened and took time to awnser all our questions. His crew was neat, respectful and ON TIME .
