Comment: Just had panels installed and felt I needed to add a review of the customer service I received during the install process.I had the pleasure of working with Heaven who seemed manage the installation process. Heaven was very easy to work with, was responsive and helpful anytime I reached out. Even when other contractors were delaying Heaven stayed in communication with me so I was never in the dark about what was going on.Installers were respectful of my home.Roy was onsite during the inspection and he was by far one of the most customer service friendly people I’ve worked with in a long time. The inspector didn’t want to sign off due to a few small issue and instead of blowing it off, scheduling grunt workers to come do it a different day, and prolong inspection clearance, Roy went above and beyond to stick around and address everything that was needed to insure we got clearance that day. I was SO thankful!!In todays world to receive the service Roy and Heaven displayed was truly refreshing. As a department manager I understand the value an employees like these hold.

Comment: We went into contract with Current Home back in November 2022 just before interest rates moved to higher rates.My solar project was not a cookie cutter installation as most installations tend to be.We had a roof assessment which forced us into a decision to replace our old 15 year old roof which was a Spanish terra-cotta tile. A separate contractor did the work. Brand new Eagle 4505 cement tiles were installed.We had to replace our old original electrical panel as it was out dated (1965). So after waiting on permits, trenching, inspections, cutover to new panel we finally got panels installed by June 2023.Almost 6 months later it only took 1 day to install all the support posts and rails and mount 30 panels complete with wiring at the side of the house, again virtual inspection, final letter to operate from the City of San Diego (August 2023)it’s now September and while only a couple of action items remained due to some broken tiles during the installation phase Current Home Solar came out today 9-11-2023, They performed an inspection, then had to purchase replacement tiles (same day) drive back, replace and complete the job.So, while some people would say why a 5 star rating! We’re all human and while during the installation tiles broke, they tried there best not break them they did. “IT HAPPENS”, but living up to and taking ownership is what makes working with Current Home Solar worth it.Thanks again “Current Home”

Comment: I went thru purchasing solar with another company. I had no knowledge of the in and outs of solar but I met with several companies and went with the one I felt gave the best deal. After signing, getting ahold of them was terrible. They dodged calls, avoided messages and emails. Even to the point of having other people from their business contact us and try to move forward. This went on for 6 months! Once we made the decision to go thru Current Home, the other company we already cancelled with even tried to drop off installation equipment at our house that I had to refuse. When we met Andrew from Current Home we felt stuck with this other company. He assured us we had no obligation to stick with the company because no work had been done to the house yet. Andrew answered all of our questions and walked thru the whole process again. I learned more in our first meeting with Andrew than I did sitting down with three other companies. Through out the entire process it wasn’t a simple hand off. He contacted us every step of the way. 5 months later and he’s still checking in on us! We have had an awesome experience and I want everyone else to have the same. I have shared with all my friends interested in getting solar or even just have questions about solar. And a few are already adding it to their homes!

And sent two professional polite and most importantly knowledgeable technicians to my home (Andrew and Michael) who went through my system line by line and corrected several issues. Which I really appreciate because I don’t know solar so I depend on their integrity and knowledge! So five stars for that! They are fantastic..from the sales rep Jim Willmon, he was really helpful and knowledgeable..a no pressure visit, just great information,. Justine our project coordinator was very good as well,to the installers, they were quick, careful, helpful in explaining things and skillful installers. It was a good experience all around. Fast, easy, and the equipment running the panels is sleek on the house not bulky and outdated. I’m really pleased.Definitely recommend this company and this team.Update: March 2023 with the city inspections needed and outdated apps at the city level..two Current Solar employees, Ron and Mike Morgan came and waited for the city for hours! Mike was out in the rain and had to explain the city had an out dated app to the inspector so he would understand that it’s ready and should pass inspection. The city needs to get updated with things. Thank you Mike, you knew your stuff.Update: April 2023. System was not reporting and they immediately sent: Andrew Toney. He arrived promptly and was very thorough, informative, kind and fixed the issue and was gone. Excellent!

Comment: From the sales process to installation and getting the Permission to Operate from Edison, the experience with Current Home has well-exceeded our expectations!First, the communication via text and phone about milestones was near-perfect: we were made aware when the plans were finalized for our 14 panels. Installation was scheduled promptly and was complete within about 6-7 hours. Every representative from Current Home that visited the house was professional and knowledgeable. The final inspection was completed just prior to the city signing off on the work and, from that point, PtO from Edison was confirmed less than a week later.At the core of this experience were Heaven & Justina - they were the ones to get everything coordinated and notify me of all updates. Particularly through the last couple weeks, Justina made sure that timelines were being met and that I was aware of the important milestones, resulting in a great solar system that will save us hundreds this year alone. For reference, the solar panels just installed at this property are producing 3.5 times more kWh comparing to our rental property system still running!

Comment: Just got our Solar panels installed and up & running. The experience has been mixed. The sales part of the process was great. The installation part though was a different experience.To be fair, the team came to install earlier than they had initially told us. But after that, the experience has not been very positive. First, it took at least 4 visits from the company to figure out the issue of why the solar panels were not generating any power, which wasted a lot of time.It took 2 inspection visits to get the city inspection approved. The 1st time it got rejected was because they had not installed the solar panels properly and had the wires exposed which were touching the roof tiles. Frankly was disappointed with the lower quality of work.I had to follow up with them several times to get the Solar panels up and running, if it were not for their project coordinator - Melanie Escamilla, I would have given up on them. She took charge of the problem and made sure they were resolved ASAP.Feedback: Pls get your service personnel trained to get the installation right the 1st time. It saves a lot of your money & time as well as clients.

When I wanted something different she would advise me of the pros and cons. She put together a very impressive package and worked the numbers several ways to fit my needs. In the end I did not buy the system but I know if things change for me Nikki will be the first one I call. I never recommend anyone as that is my reputation on the line but Nikki I would recommend without reservations. Comment: I originally had two quotes from two solar companies but I kept getting a phone call from Current Home. Finally I thought let me get one more quote and Im glad I did. I asked what company they are and I read awesome review especially for Nikki Hess and Im like, I hope I get her to do my quote! Fast forward she did my quote and I was so happy because of the way she explained EVERYTHING and how solar works, the legalities involved (because the first solar company I realized tried to jack me with 4.99% interest plus they told me they charge for someone to come and inspect the roof, etc). Nikki advocates for you and so easy to talk to and ALWAYS there for your questions. Anyways, this isnt just a review of Nikki lol... Its also the company but she represents the company so its a good thing. Bottom-line, I decided to go with Current Home Solar for my solar project, and back-up battery and possibly for future solar projects. Current Home is the only company I would recommend to my family :-)
