Comment: Blands Home Services is a very reliable company. Its owner, Kai Bland, has the knowledge, experience, and equipment to fix your homes problems, assist with redecorating, or do the remodeling you may desire. Kai makes it a point to arrive on time, fully explain what a job may entail, and leave the completed job neat and clean. He did a major home repair for me recently. It included removing subflooring, removing rotted joists and other supportive wood that had been compromised by fungus, and rebuilding the foundation as needed. He accomplished this task in a timely manner at a reasonable cost. I highly recommend you consider hiring Kai to fix your home.Pam Meyer

Comment: Needed some drywall replaced, etc in the garage in August 2023. Kai was initially difficult to contact (very much in demand) but was responsive thereafter. He was knowledgeable, reliable, accurate in initial estimate. He did quality work with a positive attitude. Did pretty good job of cleaning up afterwards as installation, sanding etc kinda messy. Would definitely work with him again.

My project ended up taking significantly more time and labor than expected due to extensive mold/water damage, and I am so grateful that Kai was here to diagnose the problem and navigate the process of fixing it! Kai is extremely thorough and an excellent communicator. Everything was straight forward from day one, and I really appreciated his honesty and professionalism in addition to his flexibility and commitment to deadlines and staying within budget. Comment: Kai, and his father Mark, make a great team to solve a wide range of nagging home projects. For us they did a bathroom remodel complete with shower and sink demos, installation of new bath and toilet fixtures and all the associated accessories, drywall patching, and painting of baseboards and cabinets. They matched the wall finishes perfectly! At the same time they demolished a concrete slab outside the house that had been a problem, replaced an outdoor faucet, replaced a kitchen water filter spout and made a wonderful under sink floor repair. It seems like there is nothing they cannot do to improve the quality of our home environment.The best part is they are two of the nicest people you could invite into your home. Their work is reasonably priced and they stick with their estimates. They always want to do the very best they can to satisfy your requirements. Comment: Moved into a home in Atascadero that needed a complete plumbing replacement due to the plumbing product that was installed (Kitec) spontaneously failing. Figured that we would do that before we began to move in. Got the plumbing replaced. The whole house plumbing replacement required extensive drywall cutouts. So, now trying to find a drywaller. This proved to be an ordeal. Had several drywallers that were recommended to us over, they looked around, smiled, and then ghosted us. Everyone is so busy, they are just cherry-picking the jobs they want to do; no call backs, nothing. We didnt know where to turn. On a Sunday evening I saw on a Google search that Blands Handy Home Services did drywall repair and installation. I called them, expecting to leave a message - its like 7:30 PM on a Sunday...Kai Bland answered his phone, told him what we needed, and stated he and his dad mark would be over in 30 minutes...WOW! They were out giving estimates on a Sunday night!!!The Blands came over, listened to us, took photos, and we had an estimate the next morning, and a start date set up right after that! We are currently living out of the area, and Kai kept us posted with progress and photos. Every single time I called them for something, they answered, very professional and polite. They found a problem with a plumbing fitting, and even though it ended up slowing their progress up, they called me immediately, allowing me to get the plumber to fix it. They did an awesome job repairing the drywall. Thank you Kai and Mark!!

They are punctual, courteous, knowledgeable, and efficient, and can troubleshoot in any situation. Their honesty and integrity is that of the highest level. They installed a ceiling fan in one of my bedrooms, as well as a bathroom light fixture. Both installations were beautifully completed. I am so pleased! Kai took the change with a positive attitude and his work is amazing. They even finished a couple of projects that we had started and not finished - huge bonus! Comment: This company is simply the very best folks you could ever have work at your home. I’ve used them twice over the past month and would not hesitate to use them again and recommended them to others. Both times Kai responded quickly via text and scheduled us within a couple days. They put together a patio table with benches first and worked hard to put it together and even went and got replacement parts that were missing. The next project that was a hard top gazebo. They were here working from 8:30am to 7:30pm and made sure everything was done until competition. They were very kind and made sure we were comfortable with the decisions being made throughout the process. Their prices are very reasonable and they stick to their estimate they provide ahead of time. So happy that we have them available to us to do the tough projects in the future.

Comment: So let me give you an example of why I love these guys so much. My son was trying to earn money so he painted some louvred doors in our bathroom. I had to ask Kai and Mark to fix the unfortunate result. Long story short, they lost money stripping and painting the doors, but wouldnt quit until the doors were perfect. Theyve done other work for us (assembled a pergola, fixed a fence, etc.) with the same meticulous standards. Even after the nightmare of the louvred doors, theyre miraculously coming back for more (although I swear Kais eye twitched when he agreed to the next job).On second thought, forget this whole glowing review - their schedule is too busy to squeeze me in as it is.

Comment: We found the Bland Boys at the perfect time. Our home was built in 1920 and is long over due for a makeover. Comment: I needed a stair rail replaced that had to be taken out in order to get my new washer and dryer up the stairs to the laundry room. I text Kai in the morning with what I needed done and sent some pictures. He immediately text me back, then we spoke on the phone and he said he was headed to a job in SLO but would drop by when he was done. He arrived at about 6pm, had a look at the broken stair rail, and had it fixed and was done by 6:30pm. He wore a mask for safety during this awful pandemic and was super professional.
