Comment: Replaced my entire roof for a home renovation. Sunpower gave me a very long list of authorized dealers who are allowed to remove my solar panels. The only company that would accept the job was August Roofing even though they were not the original installers of the solar panels. August Roofing saved my construction timeline and did a great job on site. The folks who pick up the phones are easy to deal with too.

The crew did a wonderful job - they were very efficient and completed the project two days earlier than expected. They cleaned up throughout the project and at the end of each day. Comment: After 6 months of pain with my previous solar installer, our solar system never work from day one. The first installer never fixed the issues and dragged it out and avoided phone calls to fix the issue. I was given an install date that did not work for me and the office adjusted their schedule to meet my needs. It ended up they came a couple weeks earlier than that.I cannot say enough about the installers. They worked all day, worked hard, and were very professional. Jose answered my questions promptly & took photos every working days so I was able to see the progress of the repair work.One cons was that I needed to wait for 3 months after contract signed in order to get the roof repair but the business representative promised me for 4 to 6 weeks. Due to the prolonged wait, it created more water damages on the ceiling wall inside my house due to rain.

My decision was based of several factors including: company reputation, management, workmanship skills, project continuity, material selection and time to complete the project. From the incredibly informative, very competitive and complete quote, to the actual working days, August Roofing came on time, put in a full day and left us a clean house every day. They also stand by their ethos of were not happy until your happy. No money up front, and even though we had a couple of minor changes, they addressed them quickly and without any complaint. This is a textbook example of how to run a good business!

Comment: Absolutely 100% ProfessionalMy needs for a new roof included removal and replacement of a solar array. I received 9 bids ranging in price by $10,000.00. Many of the bids offered sketchy details on the solar panel removal. Solar City , my solar provider, wanted $7,000.00 just to remove and replace the panels. August Roofing was the ONLY bid to provide details of the entire scope or work. My salesman Parker was very detailed on the product and work to be done. Also, August Roofing warranteed all of the work performed. The roofing team showed up every day on time (a first in my experience with any contractor), cleaned up every day before leaving , and answered every question while performing the work. The workers and Forman were absolutely professional. You will be very satisfied with August Roofing. I am happy to speak with anyone looking for a customer to ask questions about my new roof & August Roofing

Comment: Second time using these guys and Im very pleased with the results. After the major rains we had earlier this year, our 30+ year old roof decided it was time to give us a wakeup call ... and that it did. Jamie from August came out within a couple of days of my phone call and gave me a fair estimate to lay down new tar paper and reset all the tiles on our second story roof. The price was about mid-range of other quotes I received.All roofers were swamped because of the heavy rains, so they had to schedule me out about 8 weeks. There was another storm coming, so they came out and placed a temporary tarp to mitigate any further damage to our interior. About one week later, they were able to move my job up three weeks! The estimate on the job was approx 2.5 days.The workers showed up on time every single day. Of course, that meant I couldnt sleep in but knowing that the roof over our heads was going to be fixed was worth it. As with any roofing job, expect lot of loud hammering, debris on the ground and dust in the air. They parked their trailer right up against the house so they could throw the trash straight into the trailer from the roof.The replaced some (expected) dry rot and many broken tiles. I went up a couple of times and took a look at their work. Looked very professional. They foreman on the job had been doing this for 22 years. The entire job ended up taking four days but that was because we had a LOT of hills and valleys due to the three dormers up there. From the backyard, the roof looks great and you can hardly distinguish the new tiles mixed in with the original.After they were done, I noticed a few oil spills on our driveway. I took photos, sent them to Chris and he sent out a professional to clean them up the following morning! Hows that for service? All is good and were very happy!

Comment: I must admit I am skeptical of most contractors/job groups because you never know if you are going to get someone who is trying to make an easy buck or if they are telling the truth. Well, from the start, August Roofing was upfront and honest. I had two leaks in my roof that needed to be patched and based on the leaks, much of the wood needed to be replaced. They sent out their estimator who did all of his assessment and then sent me a copy of what they were going to do: complete with pictures and everything spelled out. Once I agreed to the price, the guys then came out and finished the job in one day. And of course..the next day it rained and their repair held up perfectly. I had a question about one issue I noticed and they sent their guy out the next day to investigate the issue. The touched up the issue and I never felt like it was a burden or that they were not going to come back. They seem to stand by their work and guarantee it. Its nice to know there is a roofing company that is operating in this fashion in Simi Valley. Thanks Guys!
