Our roof was original with the home and after the heavy rain this winter we had several leaks which indicated we needed new underlayment and likely had bad/corroded plywood. Their price was very reasonable and competitive compared to the numerous companies that I had come to quote for the roof. His team is very hard working and cleaned up each day that they worked. Comment: Ascent Roofing was highly recommended to us by a Solar System company. Our roof has metal tiles and the Solar Panels needed to be installed on a stronger roof surface. Ascent roofing was hired to replace the metal roof panels with composite tiles in the areas where the Solar Panels were going to be installed and once the on a Solar Panels were installed then Ascent would picture frame the roof with the original metal tiles. Not too many roofing companies provide these services. Ascent has professional employees with more than 30 years of direct roofing experience. The total process needed to be completed in a tight timeline with working around the recent rains in S. California. Ascent completed the project professionally prior to the deadlines with paying utmost attention to all the details. Any issues were promptly dealt with full satisfaction. We highly recommend the company for roofing work.We are appreciative of Carlos managing all the contract details plus coordination and of Jose & his team members performing the work with due diligence.Thank you, Ascent for helping us achieve our objectives!

Comment: Carlos, President of Ascent Roofing was very responsive in addressing a roof leak that showed up after a heavy rain that made a leak appear inside the attic and left a large stain in the drywall ceiling upstairs.Luis, Roof Technician, came the next day and inspected the roof. He took close up pictures and gave me a clear set of options. They could provide a repair of just the section of leaking roof or completely replace the underlayment on a concrete tile roof.The tract house is 27 years old. I found out the 30 lb unreinforced felt underlayment installed by the builder was never expected to last much beyond 15 years. I did my own research on this. In other words, the builders underlayment was garbage. When I bought the house, I was told a concrete tile roof is a 100 year roof.A concrete tile roof isnt worth much if the underlayment fails and leaks, causing a lot of interior damage. The builder also didnt secure many tiles so they slipped down a little which you cant see unless you’re on the roof. This exposed the cheap underlayment which then failed all the faster. The builder also didnt seal the ugly oversized attic vents against rodents which also made it inside by going upwards under the vents.I opted to replace the roof at a very appropriate extra amount over just fixing the damaged spot. They moved up the time line to address the leaking issue before more rain came (and it did soon). Edgar, the Foreman came out with a crew. They packed all the tiles aside in increments and replaced the builders unreinforced 30 lb underlayment with TWO layers of 40 lb underlayment that is much thicker and reinforced with polyester and fiberglass.They also installed new flashing previously not installed with a choice of colors, replaced many damaged tiles and installed new low profile ohagin attic vents that look much better than the original over sized vents and are much more fire ember resistance. They sealed up all joints, roof valleys and end portions of tiles with a type of cement that blends well with the terracotta roof. They finished all of this with six days of work. A few days after, I had all the insulation in the attic removed and replaced by another company (I was told the builders insulation was also garbage. surprise).Carlos, the owner, spoke with me personally right after the job was finished to see if I had any concerns. I let him know the roof was beautiful and he told me it would last 25 years. As I type this, it’s raining. It feels good to know it isnt coming through the ceiling anymore. Great job Carlos, Luis, Edgar and many crew members.

The work that Mr. Carlos Alfaro, proprietor, and his crew performed was flawless and on time. They tore down the double layer shingles, replaced the dated and unsightly whirly bird vents and replaced them with the Ohagin-type flushed vents, and installed Cornings 50-yr warranty roofing materials. I couldn’t decide on the color, when would be the best time to get the work, should I get the work done. Through it all I felt no pressure and I am thoroughly and completely satisfied with the result. I was thinking about changing the color of the house but now I love the color, and how it blends with the roof. My house was originally built in 1950s, 1000ft home with a detached garage. Through the years additions were made to change the garage to a family room, an open breezeway became an enclosed room. These additions resulted in several types of roofing, the original roof, and torched down material. I asked if a slope could be added to the flat roof so water wouldn’t pool when it rained it would roll off. I did not expect to have them rebuild my flat roof, now my roof is sturdier and better than it was before. Most of all my roof is visually appealing and I have no doubt that the roof will last another 60 years. I stand across the street JUST to look at how beautiful my house has become. The workers arrived on time each day and when they cleaned up my yard, it was spotless. I am so happy that Ascent Roofing replaced my roof, it was money well spent and worth every penny. Comment: We had 3 bids on replacing our roof. Because of Carloss professionalism, his ability to give me an instant quote (unlike any other roofing company) and pricing, we decided on Alpha Roofing. He addressed all our concerns and kept his pricing very competitive. Our project was completed on time for the quoted price. While the roof was being replaced, the project manager was very good at keeping us aware of any problems (which they were always able to address). I would definitely refer/recommend Alpha Roofing to anyone needing to replace or repair their roof. We are extremely happy with our new roof.

Comment: I am now eagerly awaiting the rainy season in San Diego as now I have my new roof from Alpha Roofing.This is a family owned business that treats you like part of that family.Carlos answered all our questions and then delivered everything he said he would and then some. The crew was fun and great to have on the property and the were very efficient and really took care of the yard and rest of the areas around the house during roofing and after!I have already told a couple of other people who are in the market for a roof soon and will recommend Carlos and his company to anyone else interested in getting quality workmanship in a timely manner.

Comment: Alpha Roofing is an excellent company. Carlos himself came out to do the estimate. He was very professional and explained everything to us. After going over everything, he gave us an estimate of what the total cost would be. Carlos, his father Jose, and the crew did an outstanding job of removing the old roof on our house and back patio. Then they replaced any damaged wood and did roof replacement for both as well. Carlos, Jose and the workers were on time every day and kept our property clean of nails and debris. They are very knowledgeable, courteous and explained everything when we asked questions. The crew cleaned up daily and were very friendly. Everything that we wanted was done. We are very satisfied with the work, workmanship and are very pleased with the results as promised. They did an outstanding job and we would recommend Alpha Roofing to anyone for roofing work.
