I had several estimates that ranged from low-ball to ridiculous, with a lot of open-ended work that could easily inflate the cost. Alex gave me a confident and realistic estimate answering any questions I had. The next day, he had a crew over to cover areas of the roof where storm damage had caused leaking, and rain was in the forecast. Replacement days (2 ) the crew arrived promptly, working efficiently in a well-practiced team effort. They were awesome and took particular care in protecting and cleaning up around my home when finished. Thank you Alex and team for demonstrating care & expertise!

Comment: Alex Perez Roofing just finished our roof install & we are soo pleased with their work! All the workers were courteous & very hard workers. They worked quickly but did a fantastic job. We looked around each day as the job progressed and made note a small issues, but never had to discuss them as the guys took care of everything! New wood on eaves as needed, dryrot repaired on chimney siding, new flashing & even an extra layer of flashing above skylights to divert the water. They cleaned up the job site beautifully as well. We were impressed with their work & highly recommend this company.

Comment: In mid-March, during the height of all the wind and heavy rain storms, our roof leaked causing part of an interior wall and ceiling to fall.I called over a dozen roofers to assess if roof could be repaired or if it needed to be replaced. Alex was not only the first to reply but only one other company responded and it was two weeks later.Alex sent his staff to assess and give an estimate within 2 days. It was determined roof could be repaired and that all the gutters needed to be replaced.Due to all the damage by the storms, as well as continuing storms, repairs could not begin immediately. However, Alex made sure that to get tarps on the roof to prevent further damage.Throughout the whole process, Alex was very responsive and kept me informed at all times of the schedule. His staff were all very professional and very nice.The work is all finished and we’re very satisfied with the quality of the work and the products. Any questions I had during the quote process were quickly handled by Nathan (sales rep) who was extremely attentive and prompt. The ease of keeping in touch with Alex (owner) during the job made me feel confident that my needs were being met.I wanted a completely new roof and was told I had 3 layers of shingles including a layer of old wood shake. After I chose APR it was a breeze to get the work scheduled. Johnny (production manager) was swift in helping me make a choice for a roof color. Jeff (project manager) was great at keeping the job details nice and tidy.The work was done over 2 days on April 19th and 20th The demo crew was fast as lightning and very attentive on cleanup. The rain was threatening for the 21st so the roofers hustled on day 2 and absolutely crushed it. Isidro and his roofing crew (Fidel,Geo and Enrique) were respectful and thorough. They had great chemistry and it was easy to tell that these guys have been doing this as a team for awhile.I’ve included a few of pictures of before, during and after the job. The brown was my old roof. I had ridge vents installed with low profile vents to maximize airflow through my attic. The color I chose was the Georgetown Grey. This was an absolute 5 star experience. They tarped up the trouble spot, while I waited to get on the schedule. Tear-off and materials delivered on day 1. And they cleaned up very nicely afterward.The cost for the job was very reasonable, especially considering the premium, triple layer shingles I selected. Comment: From the first time I spoke with Alex, he was professional, real, good guy, and modest. I had a very large tree fall in a storm and land on my roof. It did quite a bit of damage to the roof and our patio cover. He gave me an estimate and when i scheduled the roof repair, he told me it would take 4 days. We werentooking forward to another project but storm damage to our roof required repairs and a reroof. After several bids, we received considerable data including some conflicting information. Then we stumbled upon some of Alex Perezs YouTube videos and learned more about details that make a difference in the bids and the completed roofing job. Alex was well informed and knowledgeable about all the details we wanted in the finished project and had some great recommendations to solve other issues. His willingness to drop off replacement boards, ahead of the project start date, allowed us to paint the boards with several coats prior to installation. Comment: I live in Folsom and have a cement tile roof with covered valleys. There was a leak in our guest room with the last rain. I called Alex, he arrived promptly the same day and was able to quickly troubleshoot the leak which was due to plugged up valleys. He gave me several options for repair. He is very knowledgeable and explained my options in detail. The valleys plug up with grit from the tile roof, leafs moss and debris create dams which divert the rain water outside of the valleys and into your home. Alex’s crew removed the tiles covering the valleys and inspected and cleaned them out and replaced any tar paper which was damaged. The crew did a great job cleaning the valleys and removing moss buildup. They were professional and left the work areas around the house cleaner than they were when they started. Comment: We have now had two very positive experiences with Perez Roofing, both relating to rental properties.In the first, Mr. Perez advised us on a rusted out and therefore leaky gutter. The advice meant no work for him (long story involving a membrane roof being installed over the gutter so it could not be removed without damaging the roof), but we very much appreciated his expertise and candid assessment.As a result, we did not hesitate to call him again when a tree badly damaged a roof and gutter section at our fourplex. Mr. Perez came out to inspect the situation, emailed a reasonable written repair estimate on the spot and we scheduled the work for the next opening (not too long off) in his schedule.Even though we have had a dry winter thus far, as luck (not) would have it, rain was forecast the weekend before the repair. We texted Mr. Perez early on a Saturday morning in a bit of a panic. He was kind enough to come out within just a few hours to cover up the damaged area so water wouldnt get in and cause further damage. What wonderful customer service.The final thing I want to mention is the professionalism of his operation. Perez Roofing takes advantage of technology to provide prompt (and convenient) estimates, photos of work and billing. And Mr. Perez is a really nice guy to boot.As rental property owners, we are fortunate to work with a number of wonderful tradespeople (and have experience with some not so wonderful folks too). Alex Perez Roofing has done a lot of the roofs in our neighborhood, and a neighbor recommended him, so we felt happy knowing others had good experiences with the same steep pitched roofs. Instead of just buying what we had decided, Alex contacted us and suggested we grab the bare metal downspouts and paint them. We did this, and were thankful he contacted us; the painted downspouts look great.Another eccentricity with our house is that our original, 3 tall gutters directly went over a hard, electrical conduit.
